He did work his best on this fight, but he himself said that this is going to be his last fight at 147 lbs. So there could really be problems with him with this weight although he did make it. And it's clear that Ryan is the more superior fighter here, he has that long reach and using it as a measuring yard and then his power and speed.

In paper it looks like they are a good match, but obviously Ryan has all the advantage. So Ryan called Teo next, let's see how it goes, both has a belt so it could be another unification fight in the future.

Like i said, making the weight is one thing and performing is another thing. Conor Benn was disciplined enough to trimmed down to 147-lb, it was grueling task as he said but he did it but in the process he lost the endurance and stamina and that knockout was expected at least for me though i thought that it would happen in the second half of the fight but that wicked right hit the chin early on Conor Benn.

That's part of the game, it could end quick if you are hit by those fatal shots and for me that stoppage was the right call by the ref to prevent further damage to Conor Benn.

That was the correct action by the ref, although Conor didn't seem to agree with it.

Well, Conor got the fight he wanted, but sadly it went the way many of us expected. Maybe he should just stay at the weight where he feels comfortable, especially now that he already knows what could happen if he tries to cut too much. Anyway, Ryan's winning streak continues. He looks like he's training really well now and probably already feels comfortable with his current team.

He probably didn't deserve that fight. Conor likely knew he wasn't going to beat Ryan, but because it was a big fight, he still took the opportunity.

Now his name is more popular, but sadly, a lot of people will remember him for losing to Ryan. If the fight with Shakur happens, I can see why people would still be interested, but they shouldn't expect Conor to win. That's a completely different level of challenge.

Some boxers never learned; they think they are no different from the other boxers who undergo drastic weight cuts. He knew it when he fought Eubank Jr., who cut weight.

I usually make my comments on fights the same day, but this time, I was busy. Anyway...

Based on my experience, referees usually makes an early stoppage when the CHALLENGER shows that he can't fight anymore just like what we saw on Benn. On the other hand, if the CHAMPION is having a hard time against the challenger, usually it takes them longer because they think that they could somehow recover from it. Kind of like the referees give more opportunity for the champion to recover, but if they see that they can't then that's the time that they will stop it.

TBH, I expected that Garcia will defeat Benn just like many here, but what I didn't expect is that it will end in a stoppage, and in the very 2nd round as well. What's next for both of them? For Garcia, I think the obvious choice right now is Teofimo Lopez. It's only a matter of when it will happen. As for Benn, his best option is to go back to middleweight and try to get a title there. I'm hearing some rumors that Zayas might go up to 161 after his defeat against Boots Ennis, but we don't know what will happen. Anyway, congratulations to Garcia for defending his title.

He looked like he was out on his feet to me.  He might have been walking around somewhat normally after the call but I'm betting the people who were talking with him would tell you that he wasn't there.  Garcia caught him with a crazy right hand that ended the fight, even if not in that moment.  Sure, they could have let it go another 30 seconds to see Benn kiss the canvas, but it would have been dangerous and pointless, as the fight already had a winner.

King Ry is ready to go out the exit door of Golden Boy promotions already because there is more money to get from Zuffa boxing and also there is more greatness to have to make the sport of boxing great again!

Boxing will clearly not become great again if King Ry will continue to work with Oscar. If I ask you as a fan of this sport, do you want to witness boxing become great again or not?
