I had a need to swap BTC to USDT and obviously i used Dex.fo. My experience was largely satisfactory. Despite using Chain mode, i have to say i received the funds very quickly and i think most of the time spent was in waiting for confirmation of my initial deposit. I recommend DEX.fo. In the meantime, i've left a review in Bitlist and other directories that list no-kyc services.

^ yea I had that too. Once you bump the fees from standard on your wallet the transaction moves quite quickly.

Bumping the fee will cost you a few more satoshis, it's nice to allow it go with the standard unless you are doing some kind of hasty transaction. Dex's processing time is considerably cool for now, and it will be better if they launch the fast mode they promised.

@Z-tight Thanks for testing and for taking the time to leave a review on Bitlist and other directories! 🙏 Real reviews from forum users with history are what actually builds reputation — not just text on a website. We really appreciate it. @aoluain Spot on. Standard BTC network fees right now are often too low to land in the next few blocks — a small bump solves about 90% of delays. RBF / CPFP really do help. @MarryWithBTC By the way — Fast mode is already back online! We relaunched it a few days ago after the fine-tuning. There's one nuance though — Fast isn't available for every pair at the same moment. It depends on our liquidity reserves for that specific direction. If Fast is grayed out for your pair, try a different one or check back later. We keep topping up. And about BTC fees — fully agree. Standard fee usually goes through fine, especially right now when the network isn't congested. Only worth bumping if you're actually in a rush. DEX.fo — No KYC. No AML. No registration.

As for Chain Mode, to be honest, my experience with it has been mixed. I’ve made a few exchanges using this mode. For example, the USDT-BTC trade went through very quickly, literally within just a few minutes, while the LTC-BTC trade took significantly longer, with the order being completed only after more than 16 hours. As customer support explained, the issue was related to the bridges used, apparently due to liquidity in the pools. With that in mind, I would like to ask whether it would be possible to implement some kind of notification for users before they make an exchange, informing them that an exchange in this mode may take longer for various reasons, particularly if it is already known or there are indications that liquidity issues in the pools may arise during the exchange.

16 hours is a very long time and i understand that liquidity was probably low for that pair in the third party bridge your transaction was routed through. I also wouldn't be happy waiting that long. However, as for your suggestion, i am not so sure Dex.fo can provide that information. Chain mode is routed through third party bridges and LP's, rather than their own liquidity. They already provide updates about their reserves, because that's what they have control of. I don't think they can provide updates on reserves of a third party LP.

@dwyane36 Thanks for sharing the full picture — the good runs and the bad. 16 hours is really long, no argument there. About the LTC-BTC pair — support explained it correctly, the issue was liquidity in the specific third-party bridge that routed your transaction. About notifications — we'll work on it and see what we can do to make cases like this rare. @Z-tight Exactly right — Chain mode runs through third-party bridges and LPs, not through our own reserves. We see which bridges are available and what rates they offer, but the actual speed of their pool is out of our control. We'll keep working to make delays like this less frequent. And of course when Fast mode is available for the pair you need — it goes through our own reserves, so speed depends only on us. DEX.fo — No KYC. No AML. No registration.

It still depends on the fees here; if you choose low fees, the payment may take a very long time to process. And if the funds don’t arrive in your account for a long time, the transaction may be closed and then processed manually. That’s why you should read the exchanger’s terms of service carefully to avoid such issues and not skimp on fees.

@Buakaw_Club Fair point — network fee on the user's side matters a lot. A low fee can leave the transaction stuck in the mempool for hours, and if the order timer runs out before the deposit confirms, the swap goes into manual review. But we should be clear about scope here. In dwyane36's case the deposit confirmed normally — the delay was on the bridge side after we received the funds. Different stage, different reason. Low user-side fees and low third-party pool liquidity are two separate problems with two separate solutions. That said, the general advice holds: don't underpay the network fee when sending crypto anywhere. The savings of a few sats aren't worth a stuck transaction.

📢 Update — PGP signing on DEX.fo 🔐 PGP is now implemented in two places: Support message signing — every message from our support can now be verified via PGP. Nobody can impersonate DEX.fo in correspondence anymore. Per-order signing — every exchange order gets its own unique PGP signature. This is cryptographic proof that the swap was actually created on DEX.fo. Useful for verifying transactions in directories, reviews, or in case of disputes. Protection against phishing, scammers and impersonation — this has been a standard in the privacy community for a while. Glad to catch up. The public key is published on the site. DEX.fo — No KYC. No AML. No registration.

That's great news! I went ahead and added the PGP key to your BitList service page. Now anyone can verify it with our Verify PGP tool: https://bitlist.co/service/dexfo/verify-pgp

ATM I am making another exchange
Transcation complete, it took 1hour and 1 minute to complete BTC to LTC. From my wallet with bumped fees the BTC was sent in ~10 minutes. Its OK by me as again I wanst in a hurry for the LTC. I would have liked to test the "FAST" option rather than the CHAIN option but it wasnt available

I believe their reserve was low for that pair: BTC to LTC. The tx would have been much faster if it was available, since it would be settled with Dex.fo's liquidity. However, one hour still falls within the ETA indicated in the website for Chain mode: '30 to 60 min'. Though it is still a long time if you had needed those coins ASAP, and in the future it would be great if we always have all pairs available in Fast mode.

Huge thanks for adding our PGP key to BitList! 🙏 This is exactly what PGP is for — independent verification through a trusted third-party service. Now any user can verify the authenticity of our messages and orders directly through bitlist.co. We really appreciate Bitlist pushing the privacy infrastructure forward.
@Peanutswar
Swapping into stables while everything dumps — classic move. Thanks for launching the new prediction raffle for June 24! 🎯 We'll be watching how it plays out.
@aoluain
Chain timing checks out — 1 hour falls within the stated ETA. Thanks for sharing the real experience again, it's more useful than any of our marketing. About Fast — it was still being fine-tuned at that moment on our side, which is why it wasn't available. It's back online now across most pairs, definitely give it a try next time.
@Z-tight
Quick correction — Fast wasn't off due to low liquidity on that specific pair, it was still being fine-tuned on our side at the time. It's back online now. The goal is exactly what you described though — Fast available always, across all pairs. Working toward it 🙂
