It really depends on whether the person knows what he/she is doing. If you know how to use the 20k to make more money, then not spending it would be the wise decision. I agree time is very precious, even compared to money but it is not going to be any help when you don't have the money that you need. The comparison between time and money is not compatible because there are different ways an amount that has an expiration date cab be preserved but doing so for a thing as time isn't feasible. If you have a maximum of 80 years to spend on earth, regardless what you do and how you choose to go about it, at the expiration of the said time, that's going to be all and there's nothing you can do to change it. If you consider money for instance, if you have a month to spend the highest form of money or else it disappears, the first thing that comes to mind is to convert it to something like bitcoin and at the expiration if the given time, you can easily convert it back to whatever form you can spend it in.
