Tomorrow is the big event in downtown Austin, TX. Wish I could be there in person but I’ll just have to settle for clicking the refresh button repeatedly and hoping for an order button to appear.

so where does the cab hang out during the day when "on duty"? your place? closest airport? or other designated taxi holding areas? then come home at night to charge and have a quick cleaning?

genuinely curious, no interest in one but watching this tech roll out will be interesting.

Tesla and SpaceX stock going wild today! I guess people are realizing what is coming. A whole lot of cars driving themselves around with FSD and Starlink subscriptions… I can’t wait for today’s event. It’s starting off the right way too with this stock movement. I have filed an application of interest with Tesla to purchase and operate a Robotaxi fleet of between 10 and 20 Cybercabs.  I have also registered an LLC for this purpose.  The company was registered and is being operated by a team of Grok Bot AI agents.  So far they have registered the company, opened an email account that is actively monitored, launched an X account, have a business plan, an outline of future tasks, a reporting hierarchy, built a website that is actively updated, and an auditing system.  All this with only 87% of my weekly AI usage.  Next they will be getting an EIN for tax reporting purposes and opening a business bank account.

I'm really looking forward to watching what comes of this.  A company that is completely run by AI from the office to the field.

What is the liability like where you are for operating a for hire service?

As in to run a 'legit' towncar service in Fla would cost more in insurance then it would for the car - driver - fuel - etc. combined.

But, then a lot of the larger ones put the insurance onus on the driver not the company. However, that theory falls apart when Robbie The Robot is driving.

Right now I’m assuming that my current insurance company will jump at the opportunity to add more vehicles to my plan. We’ll have to see if Tesla will assume liability or what when the time comes. They forced me to start an LLC to submit the application, so they are requiring some liability protection for fleet owners off the bat.

My Grok Bot agents had a meeting and decided we should apply for a government grant, so they found the best opportunity, found the appropriate contacts, and drafted an email to send. Amazing…

The NHTSA has ordered Tesla to “prove” that the Cybercab is legal to sell. They have been given a date of September 30th. The sudden quick demand makes me think that Tesla is getting ready to start filling fleet orders. I haven’t been contacted yet, but I am happy to see any progression towards these vehicles getting in my hands.

My AI agents have informed me that my LLC has been registered and next week I’ll have them get an EIN and a bank account. Probably rushing things just a bit, but I want to make sure everything is lined up ahead of time. Waiting on a response to my grant email and hopefully Tesla opens the floodgates on Cybercabs soon.

My AI swarm has registered an EIN and opened a bank account.  Pretty impressive to have gotten this far.  They are awaiting a deposit to reimburse me for costs up to this point and balance the ledger.  Probably most of the excitement for a while as it could be months or even years before Tesla is ready to start letting people own and operate these Cybercabs.  Regardless, I am ready to go when they call on me.

Probably the are bringing more innovations in the technology. Let's see how it will work without those functional parts in the vehicle. Because those are basic part in any vehicle has to balance the vehicle when moving. Though as special vehicle, there might be extra features to move it but power steering, acceleration and brake pedal are basic necessary part of the vehicle which can't operate without them.

They are on the road already in Austin, Texas but they aren’t customer owned. There is a bet that Elon won’t deliver one to a customer by the end of the year so Elon thinks it’ll happen.

In the touchscreen there is a little spot in the corner you can go into manual mode to control the car for simple maneuvers. This is mostly for first responders that may need to move the vehicle.

The Cybercab fleet is up to 58 vehicles now. Tesla has also reportedly increased their production rate to 300 Cybercabs per week. They’re shipping these things out around the country right now. When they get the green light, we’re going to see rapid expansion of this service to cities all over the country and maybe globe.

Tesla has added 2 more Cybercabs to the Robotaxi network in Texas. They are clearly trolling with this but it is funny. Yesterday they posted a 6-7 meme when they had 67 Cybercabs on the network. Today they have 69 Cybercabs. Awaiting what their social media team will post next…

Tesla Cybercabs have started rolling off the manufacturing line. I for one think this will be the most amazing vehicle advancement since the Cybertruck. I am 80% sure I’ll be buying one and will make sure to track the economics of it and if it is a viable income producing asset when the time comes to start accepting driverless rides.

If I remember vividly, I saw a review of it on x and sincerely I was in love with it and I just appreciate how advanced Tesla has always been and I think the cyber cab doesn't have any steering and it's the first of its kind unlike the other self drive vehicles that have the traditional steering

Please when you finally get one for yourself, I don't mind receiving any of your old cars incase you need decongesting your garage  i would truly appreciate as it would make life easier for me.

Man, that's crazy to see: cars that drive "on their own," that fly (still in development, but soon a reality). I just don't know if I'd own one of those; I don't know, I'm not drawn to those designs. Despite being an exceptional car, I find the Cybertruck ugly and weird, and this one isn't far behind...

To each their own, right? I believe that for those who like it, it will be a great acquisition.

If you think the Cybercab and the Cybertruck are both ugly, I would urge you to get outside and take a look at one in person.  They are such opposites, it seems hard to dislike both.  One is big and angled, the other is small and sleek.  One is gold.  One is silver.  Personally, I think each one absolutely nails what it is going for.

The Austin Texas Robotaxi network now has 420 Model Ys and 69 Cybercabs operating.  You can't make this up...
