I don't think so; Portugal won the 2016 version without winning a single game in the group stage - you can't compare Euro to AFCON or Copa America. Croatia team are bottlers.

I can't think of a single Nigerian player that would help us win any of the World Cups. Back in 1998 you had Jay Jay Okocha (who was a fun player to watch) but he wouldn't have a spot in our first 11 as Suker was one of the best attackers in the world at that time. And in 2018/2022 I can't think of anyone that could improve our team significantly.

Nobody knows who Suker was, I'm hearing that name for the first time - is that your all time great? Okocha is not even in our Top 5 and yet he's more popular than the country "Croatia" 

You must be like most European trophy holders if you want to win- integrate blacks into your team.

I don't know if this question have been raised before, but we'll probably have teams where all 3 participants are also participating in the other world cup promo, and how can both work without clashing or does that make a bet from the other thread valid here is well if it falls within the same window, and ticks all needed boxes.

I don't think this has been discussed yet, but I think it should be okay. Still, to be sure, we'll need to wait for an answer from whoever is managing the competition.

Hopefully it's allowed, since some participants (like me) may not be able to afford placing an extra $10 bet. Maybe the team captain can choose a member with a larger bankroll to handle this challenge, so the team won't have to worry about it.

Tell me that you didn't follow 90s football without telling me that you didn't follow 90s football.  And I think that you know who is our all time great. 

Hopefully it's allowed, since some participants (like me) may not be able to afford placing an extra $10 bet. Maybe the team captain can choose a member with a larger bankroll to handle this challenge, so the team won't have to worry about it.

If that is a problem, you can always share that expense among all 3 of you. And if there's some profit from all that betting in the end, you share it among yourselves.

We will allow it.

That being said we would prefer if there isn't overlapping. Also this is team competition and your tickets from other competition may not be what is best for your team here. 10$ per round seems really low here and I would hope that at least one person inside the team would have no problems placing those bets. It is up to each individual team to agree on strategy, you can all share in costs/profits or it could be all on one person.

EURO is always a very difficult and uncertain competition, so it is not unusual for the future champion not to be so successful in the group stage of the competition.
After all, Italy was also the world champion in 1982, although it barely passed the group stage, after 3 draws in the group.
Should we also mention a similar example of PSG, which barely passed the group stage of the Champions League last season, but then in the knockout stage of the competition they were dominant and won the trophy, similar to this season.

Everyone advances to the knockouts… but not equally.
1st place - directly to Quarterfinals
2nd place - directly to R16, where they will be seeded.
3rd and 4th placed teams will play against each other in R32. 3rd placed teams will be seeded.

Do you see how easy is it to mention some of our players? We've had some really great players; you forgot the greatest Amokachi who singlehandedly terrorized the Italian league and there's is also Taiwo, Yobo and Obafemi Martins.

Oh, I had to Google the former West Ham player to find out who he was; he had his moments, but there were so many famous great players in the 90s that his achievements were easily overlooked. Great stats for the Yugoslav legend, by the way.

I usually don't rate WC top scorers; it's so random and most times it depends on how long a team stays in the tournament. I've seen players win it with less than 4 open play goals.

No one is talking about how England U20 Sterling and Foden were already married with kids and we were meant to believe they were 17 at that time.
