I just noticed that group A, B and D got 1 spare slot there while group C is packed but my captain told me that we are going to beat everyone and advance as the top of the group

Many teams have said that when they found out they would be playing Croatia at the World Cup, but most of them ended up disappointed. I have a feeling it will be the same this time as well.

Team 16 has been suggested as well. More about that soon - will be fun if accepted.

We think that it's better to have 16 teams than 15 so we made a slight modification to one of the rules. We allowed (to be fully fair - we initiated and offered) Hhampuz to play as Curacao, basically acting as our sponsor Rainbet. He's their forum representative, he's fully harmless if participating alone and in general it's better for the competition in whole.

Mafia created a special logo for our sponsors to show our love and appreciation.

But seeing how our team is in group B, well this is very troublesome seeing many other veterans in one group.

We would have preferred to beat the other Croatian team but we can send them a lesson from you first. My bet was very simple and it relies purely on our ROK friends to get their first points,,, see we are transparent unlike the mafia.

BTW because the 3rd challenge is about beating the odds,,, what happens if I submit now and my opponent can see my odds? Or what if you guys the mafia is our opponent? No accusations here I am just wondering how it works, or nobody can see the details like in BSFL?

What is this? No faith in Mafia's honesty? We're shocked to hear this.
It will be hidden like in BSFL, you can already check in the spreadsheet.

Only thing we're not sure is whether to hide the 'Event you're participating in' field or not. If we hide it there's more uncertainty about who plays against who but makes it harder for captains to recheck if everything is submitted properly.
Considering that everybody continues from the group stages anyway, we think we'll leave it open for the groups and then hide it for the knockouts.

Regarding the tickets - Mafia is about fair fights. We surely won't be looking but we'll try to submit the tickets early on. Our captain can't really be trusted though.

Agree,,, my direct opponent @Rikafip thought he had an advantage by seeing it was me who was submitting but he will be surely disappointed. It is better to hide for future, in our group chat we know what we each is doing so we have trust in each other.

This is good news! It's great that all four groups have four teams each, even though one team is a one man show Now let's see how the first round goes. I have a feeling that all teams will struggle with the first round because it's usually much harder to predict football games when countries are playing as opposed to when clubs are playing.

I confirm, I am in business, the fee has been sent, the bet has been made and contributed into the Google form.

Thanks to the organizers (including for not letting me leave this competition and for insisting that I participate in the prize distribution )! I can't imagine how your head doesn't hurt, I have to do much less to participate, and even then, I'm under a lot of stress.
Thank God that everything will go very slowly from now on, considering that the number of games per day is small, and the rounds are stretched out over a week.
