We really weren't. Yes, they were saved by that late goal by Brazil, but also by the decision of the Brazilian coach not to let Vinicius take either of Brazil's two penalties.
But hey, sometimes you need to be lucky to win, and this time we were not lucky at all.

Don’t get too down Mate it was great fight, we didn’t expect to dragged this far like France in this round but glad we are able to turn opponents to fans that’s shows who merciful we can be in dealing with our opponents, see you guys on the other side in future. Hopefully we will bring this home.

Yesterday’s game was simply craze, I knew without an early goal the corner kicks will be hard to one by because the both teams will choose safety first before anything. Final score is 1-1 (1-2 pen), which means that Harkorede's goal will be removed.

We consider this a minor mistake considering that it was already known at that moment that Team Naija would progress further, so we just breezed over their ticket and marked it as valid although over corners passed only in OT.

Somehow we are just not lucky enough in this tournament including on the penalties. Its always 1 short for us even in R32 round were we tied on the penalties down to the minutes tiebreaker

We also get punished by the maffia if we look into the draw, we both ended up first in our group but no seed was made and we have to clash against each other, this give mafia the chance to start to clear the best teams. Its all manipulated we all know it but we are gonna beat them anyways.

Portugal holds the biggest blame for our failure to beat you. All they needed to do was hold on for another 5 minutes...
