Hello Dear Community I hope eveything is under control your side ; this Bitax screenshoot AXEOS is showing my statistics and to be clear i do as a hobby and a learning experience ..... Do you guys think that i can hit the bloc one day ? Is this 1 BITAX is suffisent ? ( i mean to keep his chance every 10 min 24/24 7/7 ) I place the Machine near the modem... Cheers !

Do you guys think that i can hit the bloc one day Grin ? Statistically speaking, yes it is possible. Literally astromicaly improbable but still, possible. Remember, regardless of how many chips are in a miner only ONE chip out of all the ones in it and all the other miners in the world spits out the correct value to solve a block. That said, even with a small miner it may find one in the next 10min or in the next few decades (or longer).

I know this is not going to happen soon or i can say NEVER to be realistic .... but maybe that is what life is about : Work Smart + Target your effort , ( AWAY OF MINNING which is a Lottery ) We can still hope that luck will smile one day maybe today

You're doing the right thing. If you're constantly busy with your own business and don't buy home mining devices, you're simply handing over your chances of winning to other miners. Don't be a bystander to other people's victories; buy a few more mining devices

The odds are stacked against the home miner. But it's never zero. Its called lottery mining for a good reason, the odds are about as good as winning the lottery. With a 1.2TH/S bitaxe the odds are Per block : 1 in 876,041,667 Per Day : 1 in 6,083,623 Have a look here for odds https://solochance.com/As the saying goes, you've got to be in it to win it. Doing nothing guarantees you won't win. However, playing the game with a small miner, you're always in with that in a million chance and people do and have won with small home miners. Good luck!

What do you mean i have no chance at all ? I mean i know it s likely not going to happen but a 0,0000015 chance maybe finally it is a chance + some setup features like good ping ( i use optical fiber) and i will just say yes i m playing my chance every 10 Min

I've always heard that some lottery miners win a block in two weeks or a month. So you don't need to calculate your chances because if you're lucky, you might hit a block within a month. Keep in mind that "ping" will not increase your chances of hitting a block, but having larger units or adding more units will.

I think that we agree on the fact that it remains a lottery , with Bitax or Larger Avalon or a FARM , If you are lucky you will find the block within minutes or Hours ( the majority would not in their entire life , BUT IT S OK SCINCE I DO IT AS A WAY TO LEARN AND DISCOVER MORE ASPECTS OF CRYPTO WORLD .... I See it like that ... Good luck all Anything Can Happen

That's why it works like a lottery. If you buy a lottery ticket every day for almost 5 years, I believe that's normal. My father bought lottery tickets every single day for 12 years but never won the jackpot. However, other people were able to win a jackpot despite only starting to buy tickets a week ago.

I've been solo mining for nearly 5 years, so I guess I have no luck by your metrics! i have not hit a solo block in last ten years. but i have hit a few back in the day. Must be nice to find a block and reap the rewards! I started tinkering with mining back around 2014, I only had about 10's GH/s with few Antminer U2's back then and it was all pointed at Slush's pool as PPLNS, that earned me the most I've ever had out of Bitcoin. I only started tinkering with Solo back around 2020/21 in the midst of the pandemic and only really committed to it in 2023 when I bought a load of Gekko Compac F sticks which all progressively died. Now I'm running a few boards of my own design with a mix of BM1397 and BM1362 which nets around 5TH/s, 7 Bitaxe Gamma's which I'm going to decommission soon as a friend is buying the lot from me and currently one NerdOctAxe Gamma for a grand total of around 24TH/s all pointed at solo mining. I'll be adding one or two more NerdOctAxes later this year to replace the Bitaxes. Once that's done I think I'll just set it all back up in the garage and forget about it. I think that'll probably be the last money I spend on solo mining set-up, Its been fun but I think with the difficulty as it is the odds really are stacked heavily against home mining.

I see my Bitax Gamma 601 as a low-cost ticket that supports the network + that gives me Opportunity to learn ... While the math says the odds are astronomica I am mostly focused on underclocking and efficiency to that be sure the hardware lasts as long....I believe that For those of us in the TH/s range, it’s less about the ping and more about the uptime.

Actually it just boils down to number of shares submitted in a given time. The clock on that resets every time a block is found. Which is why high hash rate is important. But, if you're just playing the long odds game, which is what solo is. Plug it in and forget about it is probably the best policy. One thing I'm sure of with all Bitaxes if you want reliability is replace the thermal paste immediately; the stock stuff they ship with typically is totally useless. I use Arctic MX-4, Noctua NT-H1 and on my OctAxe I'm using Arctic MX-7 The MX-7 has proven to be the best of the lot so far in terms of thermal performance, for longevity ask me again in a couple of years!

Have you tried saving money with GD007 and GD2? It'll be much cheaper even if you change the thermal paste twice as often. GD2 thermal paste is almost as good as MX-4 in tests, and it's inexpensive. GD2 thermal paste performs slightly worse than MX-7 in tests, but it's still worth using in other devices that don't require high-conductivity thermal paste.

IMHO, Its worth the extra money to be certain you've got a product that's going to work. These Asian branded thermal pastes are probably fine, but I just dont trust the quality control at least with Arctic they have a brand name to defend in a hostile PC market place, so they'll do what they can to be the best.

I've been using GD thermal paste for over 10 years now and see no difference between it and Arctic MX-4. Arctic MX-7 claims a lifespan of up to 8 years, but I usually do a full cleaning and remove the heatsinks one to three years after the warranty expires, and then do the same every 12-18 months on such devices. So I don't want to pay more for something I don't use.
