I once lost everything to greed, anxiety and uncertainty. My crypto journey began sometime around 2020, back then I was very optimistic and ready to jump into any investment opportunity that comes my way. In 2021 I got my first surprise.
What happened was i entertained a complete stranger on my telegram channel. The fellow first got me to trust her and in the process introduced me to a scheme. The tone of assurance was so strong that I fell for it.
Funny enough the tried to get my full trust by giving me rewards every day for staking my coin on their mining platform. And after two weeks I woke up to see my wallet has been cleared. Both the rewards and my personal coin all gone
It drained me and kept me low for quite a long period. I didn't know where to start from and I was even confused on how to explain this to someone else. It took me a long time to put myself back together.
Then in 2024 I tried building back. It wasn't easy from the start but I kept up with consistency. Although I don't have as much as I had back in 2020 but I am glad I am able to stay committed no matter how small the growth seems.
My point here is starting all-over is better than staying off completely. It's better to have slow growth than taking no action at all
Any mistake that doesn't take your life will definitely make you stronger and you will surely learn from it but the important thing is to go back stronger and wiser, at least you have learnt your lesson and you are still here to warn others about making the same mistakes you made that made you lose everything. Story like this have helped put many of us in this space on the right path and I must applaud you for not giving up , and even in our daily life struggle failing because of our mistakes once or twice doesn't mean you should give up but it means you should learn from it and make wiser decisions.

I agree with you to some extent, but some mistake can wail you down to a point where you will say "this is just the end of the world " Haven't you heard about people commiting suicide just because of the mistake they made and they feel they can't recover from it and then, they decide to end their life. for example: there are gamblers who sold all their belongings to gamble as a result of addiction, at first they didn't know what they were doing because they believe if they sell their belongings to gamble that they will surely get it back not knowing that there's no certainty about the outcome, so when they discovered that they have nothing in their name, They feel that's just the end of the world, so there are some mistakes that can take someone's life, such mistake should be avoided.

One major that that affected you in your journey as a beginner was lack of knowledge, this is why it is always emphasized to gain knowledge as a newbie in crypto. Being on the forum was a game changer for me and because of that I can't relate when it comes to stories about getting defrauded it scammed. The most important thing is that you were able to bounce back after being scammed even though it took you a long period of time to get to that point. Four years is a lot of time, most people would have given up and assumed that Bitcoin is a Total scam but you were smart enough to be consistent.
Connecting your wallet to links that you are not sure about is a big risk especially if it's on platforms like telegram and other social media apps. The most important thing is that you learnt from your mistakes and now you are doing better than before, They say stupidity is repeating the same mistakes over and over again without learning from them. Imagine if you had left because of a terrible experience you had, you wouldn't have been opportuned to have these benefits you currently have.

This lack of knowledge is a very serious challenge that must be tackled before one thinks of investing in any kind of investment, be it bitcoin or other investment options. On this lack of knowledge, most times the blame should be channelled to those that introduced them to the business, because the first thing to do why putting someone through on something is to let him or her know the nature of the business and there the wrong and right investment strategies should be exposed, so a beginner won't fall victim of what he or she didn't know

Nothing really worth committing suicide for, is it money that you have lost or what? Don't worry just give it time you will recover, I know that the overwhelming emotions of whatever that happened may actually broke you down to the point of thinking about of ending it all as it is the end of the world, but that's not true. Sometimes all what we need is encouragement and the best advice is never to give up on yourself no matter what, you can still come out of it with matter of time and determination.

I don't think there is anything that can be compared to life itself, so I'm not sure what kind of pressure people who commit suicide experience. However, I believe that they should be able to do better by calming down and figuring everything out because that's how things are supposed to be. Whatever is lost can be recovered, and there's a saying that goes, "When life is there, there is hope." Aside from that, we should find people to talk to when we discover who we are in certain situations. And we need to figure out how to start over. If you look at the suicide rate, it's rising because people can no longer handle it and it would be better if we just talked to someone about it. Simply be silent and let the depression consume you. Even though it won't be simple at first, being emotionally resilient is simply the first step. People have experienced the worst and are able to figure everything out. And with time everything will be okay.

Suicide has always being a cowards way to go out. I don’t really and have never really seen any reason why anyone would take their own life, it never sticks to me no matter the gravity of the lose. Not even a single survivor from a family incident should consider this (at most, you live on for those that past) not to mention when it is from a lose in investment. Once there is life, there is always a chance, an opportunity and it might even be way better in the future so, it’s always best to keep at it and watch it pay off. Life is more enjoyable when you rise after a fall.

In fact, people learn best from mistakes. Those who have made mistakes in life and have been cheated repeatedly, will never make those mistakes again in the future and will move forward cautiously. When you make mistakes, you realize your mistakes, then no one can cheat you easily and you must plan something different to cheat you, because you will not easily bow down to a cheater. So I would say that it is not good to lag behind in anything or if you lag behind in the lessons you have learned, then I would say that you should get up again and move forward.

Your circles doesn’t look complete to me, your first circle you didn’t complete it, instead of 4 years you’re having 3 years, well you’re still still on a running circle, I hope you’re going to complete the 4 years Circle this time around, all I can tell you is to keep buying and holding bitcoin regularly, it doesn’t matter what amount of discretionary money you have available just keep buying bitcoin through the DCA consistently then after you’ve completed your circle by doing the right things then you are going to see what is waiting for you next. You might have an opportunity of having good reasonable amount of bitcoin, keep buying and holding.

Those who can use the experience gained from their mistakes later have a relatively low number of mistakes. A person may focus on trading in the initial stage for the purpose of profit. A new trader most of the time makes wrong decisions. If he later realizes his mistake and stops trading and starts investing for the long term, it will be a fruitful and best decision for him. But if he returns to trading again, he will have to take responsibility for his own fate because of his losses because he has not corrected himself. It is possible to correct every mistake if you are aware and promise not to repeat that mistake. Although it is not easy to recover financial losses, if you can correct yourself before losing too much wealth, it will be easy to reduce losses and achieve high profits.

It is not about over but they are considering the time and changes over point in time because back then thing where back and they accumulated their assets at a cheaper rate. Although no truly believed that bitcoin would be a short to this year otherwise those who toiled their volume of bitcoin would never dump them at a cheaper rate. Those who held their own are in one way loose access to their HDD drive and they tried all possible just to make restore them back.

This lack of knowledge is a very serious challenge that must be tackled before one thinks of investing in any kind of investment, be it bitcoin or other investment options. On this lack of knowledge, most times the blame should be channelled to those that introduced them to the business, because the first thing to do why putting someone through on something is to let him or her know the nature of the business and there the wrong and right investment strategies should be exposed, so a beginner won't fall victim of what he or she didn't know Having a good knowledge before starting any investment or business should the number one thing a person should know before kick starting as this will help alot to avoid some unnecessary mistakes in the future, for Bitcoin investment a beginner with no knowledge need to be thought how Bitcoin investment works the right wallet to use, the right investment strategy, how volatile the market is and the right income to use when investing in Bitcoin, i believe if a newbie know all of these it will be difficult for them to panic when there is a decline in price of Bitcoin because they already know that Bitcoin is volatile and also doesn't guarantee any profit. Going into any business or investment with less knowledge about it could cause some harm in the nearest time.

You see sometimes, when someone makes a mistake as a result of a bad decision, the real damage isn’t always the loss itself, but leaving the mindset in your head that the loss you’ve just experienced has automatically defined your future. When one is kept in this zone, recovering from a loss becomes almost impossible, except they finally realize themselves and get rid of that fear.

When one is kept in this zone, recovering from a loss becomes almost impossible, except they finally realize themselves and get rid of that fear. There are a number of reasons why I believe that before you begin, you should have an orientation of knowing that anything can happen and that if anything should happen, you should be to move own and that is how to grow because most people find it very difficult to move on from their mistakes. As op stated, there is nothing wrong with starting over and there is no point sticking to the past because you will not move forward. And most people that have this is issue are the newbie and the onces that are consistent will get use to it and then won't have a problem starting again.

I will not wish for anyone to be in some certain situation, as we can never tell how emotionally messed up they can be. That leads them into that state of their only option is to take their life, but to me, no amount of error is worth the life of a person, be it owning a loan, being rubbed investment gone bad it's not enough to take one's life so far as their is life there are greater opportunities to bounce back up which is the chance only the living have and not the dead, no matter what just try to be close to those who can talk you out of it as something times loneliness during some kind of situation contributes to why some people settles for the type of decision they make.

I was going to ask the question on; How do people allow losses to define their future? I don’t think people actually do that. To tell themselves that they would only have to lose again if they tried. I think where the psychology can play certain roles is in terms of the individual having to weigh in on the time spent to accumulate what was lost, the struggle and how much work that had to be put in and gets discouraged on repeating as, they might have being exhausted on having to go through all that only to loose it all. Where it gets even worst is when, it was due to no fault of theirs, haven’t don’t all they could to the letter but somehow, they get hit from where they least expected or thought secured: it’s so difficult coming from that.

Where it gets even worst is when, it was due to no fault of theirs, haven’t don’t all they could to the letter but somehow, they get hit from where they least expected or thought secured: it’s so difficult coming from that. This reminds me of the story of Edison, one of the greatest inventors in history. I read somewhere that he had 100 failed attempts at new inventions but he didn't give up and kept trying, gaining new experience based on those failed attempts and improving his techniques until finally 1 of his inventions succeeded and made him famous, which was the invention of electricity. His example inspired me to some extent because I also had many failed attempts, offline and online, to find a successful business that would bring me financial freedom. I didn't exactly try 100 different business ventures and projects like Edison, but I tried and lost money many times before I finally succeeded, and of course it's about crypto. Maybe it's just a matter of character because persistence is simply born or learned in the family. If you give up immediately after the first failure, then it will be very difficult for you to succeed in anything, not just crypto. Yes, bad decisions can happen and someone can lose time and money in crypto or anything else, but success or failure is not determined by that, but by how you react after failure. If you learn from your mistakes and move on, you will almost certainly succeed. If you give up, you will remain a loser.

I was going to ask the question on;
How do people allow losses to define their future?
I don’t think people actually do that. To tell themselves that they would only have to lose again if they tried. I think where the psychology can play certain roles is in terms of the individual having to weigh in on the time spent to accumulate what was lost, the struggle and how much work that had to be put in and gets discouraged on repeating as, they might have being exhausted on having to go through all that only to loose it all.
Where it gets even worst is when, it was due to no fault of theirs, haven’t don’t all they could to the letter but somehow, they get hit from where they least expected or thought secured: it’s so difficult coming from that.
I think loss of confidence is a major factor that often gets underestimated, and not just about the money they lost. The there is, when someone ends up experiencing a very heavy and tragic loss just after putting in their best or believed to have done everything right, their confidence level drops dramatically, because they believe they’ve done their best or the way they felt was right and it still failed, and so the next attempt might just feel like repeating an experience that they’ve just paid dearly for. At this point, it’s not just about losing again, it’s more about whether they can actually do better than what they believed was their best and whether it would actually lead somewhere better this time.
