I also don't get how people can gamble at work or with family, it makes no sense. In my opinion, the people who play during work or family time are probably already addicted. If someone does this, they really need seriously think about what they are doing. For me, gambling is just entertainment. I only do it when I am relaxed and have free time. Similar is with alcohol. This should be fun, not something that could cause problems.
No, I disagree with you here bro, because you can't just call those that gamble at work or during family time as an addict, what you should be saying is that , those that does such are no longer seeing gambling as an entertainment, but an avenue to make money.
I am saying this because I have seen someone that is not a gambling addict, but was at work when games was about to start, so he left his working environment with the excuse that he wanted to get water to drink, while in reality he wanted to get to the nearest betting shop fast to play his bet before the start of the games. So it's best to say that those that gamble on working hours or family time are doing it for the money, not as an addict as you proclaimed.
Yes I sorely agree with you that the reason he left work to gamble was for the money and not necessarily because his an addict. The game his actually rushing to go and place a bet, might actually result to a big win and he doesn’t want to miss out, so he doesn’t want anything stopping him from getting that money even if it not guaranteed and so he had to lie to go place his bet. Majority of players in the gambling space are mainly there for the money, not just for fun or because they are addict.
