If we consistently buy with a Budget of $50 per week, it seems like it will take us almost 32 years to reach 1 BTC. Is that too long to reach 1 BTC? Do we need to budget more Money to reach 1 btc in our portfolio?

Well, if we Buy with a budget of $500 per week, it might only take us 3.5 years to reach 1 BTC.

I think we should calculate how long we will continue buying bitcoin and when we will enjoy it. Because if we are 30 years old, it will take us 32 years to reach 1 BTC with $50 per week. By the time we are 62, We will have 1 BTC.
Do you estimate how long You have set aside to buy bitcoin?

It is very funny how you are calculating this, and who told you the price of bitcoin will remain at the point you are seeing it now till this year or you think the price will be waiting for you without going up or down till this 32 years? you better wake from your dream because bitcoin will always fluctuate. however, i do not think is necessary to calculate this because what we need in bitcoin accumulation is a discretionary income and not everyone can afford to use this $50 weekly because of their cash flow and expenses.

Calculating how long you should be able to accumulate your desired bitcoin is good though since it will give you an insight when you are going to reach the level of over accumulation. However, since everyone doesn't have a stable income to accumulate bitcoin consistently, I don't think it's a wise idea to calculate how long it will take you to buy your desired bitcoin as it will put you under pressure that could even make you to deny yourself some of your basic needs just to meet up with time frame, it could even take you out of the game. In my opinion, I will say everyone should just accumulate bitcoin without calculating how long it will take them to reach their desired bitcoin in order for them to stick with accumulating bitcoin with their discretionary income and also accumulate the quantity of bitcoin they can accumulate and hold it for the long term.

I don't see any problem in trying to have goals for ourselves, yet if the timeline is 32 years, that hardly makes any sense.

We can have goals in the coming 1 year, 3 years, 5 years and even longer into the future, yet the further that we attempt to project out, the more tentative it becomes since it may well be based on a wider range of possibilities and a wider range of unknowns, even though there should not be problems in trying to be somewhat realistic about it.

The presumption of $50 per week for 32 years, seems a bit ridiculous, and likely would ONLY result in around 0.2 BTC at most in that timeline... but who knows for sure... even though we can say $50 per week would be $2,600 per year, $26k after 10 years and $83,200 after 32 years.  Perhaps the average price of BTC between now and 2058 is not as important as the various prices of BTC at various points along the way, yet I still doubt that a person would realistically be able to expect even 0.2 BTC after 32 years of buying $50 per week of bitcoin.

Even though between now and mid-ish 2031 (which is about 5 years), if we were to invest $50 per week, then we would know that we would have had invested about $13k in those 5 years, which might potentially result in right around 0.05 BTC if the average BTC price were to stay as low as $260k for that time.. so maybe it could be possible to have some realistic goals to try to accumulate somewhere between 0.05 BTC and 0.1 BTC in the next 5 years with a weekly buy amount of $50 of bitcoin.

I am a pretty BIG fan of setting goals as long as they are somewhat grounded in reality which sometimes can end up being a bit of a moving target in order to keep such goals realistic and seemingly worthwhile to pursue.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Investing is risky, but its one of the best ways to make a lot of money, and is one of the best things to invest in because it has so many strategies in place to use depending on your mental and emotional capabilities, as for the aspect of working principles, there are a lot of videos on YouTube that you can get those informations from, the only thing to be scared of it's volatile nature, and that is why it's better you hold.
Bitcoin volatility shouldn't be a big challenge for a brand new investor if he's ready to start his bitcoin investment by having a proper plan and long term investment mindset. He can start with small amounts of money like $10 in the beginning and learn about bitcoin as he's investing weekly using DCA.

As he continues to invest and gain experience from the market couple with other aspects of bitcoin, his confidence will keep on increasing. If he has gained confidence in bitcoin, he can increase his DCA amount and invest aggressively in order to cover up for those days he was investing in a whimpy way. The biggest risk is not to invest in bitcoin when you feel like and have the discretionary income just because of fear.

The logic here is very clear for everyone to see, but I am surprised that op is asking such a ridiculous question when common sense is enough to make you understand that the size of your pocket is what's going to determine your speed of acquiring one Bitcoin.
The Op should even know that some people might not be able to acquire 1 bitcoin, because if bitcoin price keeps on increasing, then it’s already getting difficult for people to get 1 bitcoin. If you want to invest in bitcoin, just keep on buying bitcoin, any amount which you could get is fine, because some people that are having intention to own 1 bitcoin might just get discouraged at the end if bitcoin price keeps on increasing. Just because other people are owning 1 bitcoin or more doesn’t mean you should do the same when you don’t have the financial capacity.

It’s understandable if an investor sets for himself a certain bitcoin accumulation target which he feels is likely going to place him in a strong bitcoin holding position, but quite unrealistic to expect that they will be able to attain such targets over a set timeframe or fixed period of time or years. Things change, income change and goals also changes with time. It’s better to set an accumulation target and then work towards achieving the investment target without getting to pressure oneself as a result of time frame.
When it comes to conditions over the course of a year, there are often changes, especially when it comes to the market and Bitcoin. But for investors who are pursuing their accumulation target within their existing capabilities, I don't think they will be bothered by these conditions. Because true investors will usually continue buying Bitcoin to maintain consistency in their Bitcoin accumulation and holding. And everyone probably already knows that investors won't invest regularly if they still have unresolved burdens or problems. Therefore, every time they invest, it's purely free from the burdens and problems in their own lives.

It's not everyone that is aware of this bro, and it's because of this most Bitcoin investors are having problems with their Bitcoin investment because they tend to be over aggressive and get carried away in the process, which made them buy and accumulate beyond their discretionary income, and such actions later comes back to hunt their Bitcoin investment, because sooner or later they will have to dip hands into their Bitcoin investment to retrieve back the money invested because of a pressing basic needs at hand. So it's very necessary that as much as being aggressive while buying and accumulating is not a bad thing, we should try our best not to over do it, and go beyond our discretionary income, so that we wouldn't land in trouble while accumulating.

It's impossible because the price continues to rise, as you said but I think it's better not to overthink owning 1 Bitcoin. What we need to do is consistently make regular purchases, whether the price is rising or falling.

The difference is that when we buy when the price is rising, the amount we obtain will only be a small amount and it's certainly different from when we buy when the price is falling, the amount will certainly be greater than when the price is rising. And it's not impossible to own 1 Bitcoin if we confidently and consistently accumulate it every time we have discretionary income. Everyone's journey is different, so in my opinion, acquiring 1 Bitcoin is only possible by regularly accumulating Bitcoin.

You do not necessarily have to cover up for all the times you have not been able to buy your bitcoin in bulk. in your investment journey, there are times you never knew about bitcoin and so did not even buy at that time and eventually you came to know about bitcoin but was learning and still did not buy and then started by buying in smaller fraction and eventually increased the quantity you were buying per time. at each stage, what is important is that you are getting better in your investment decision and not necessarily that you are trying to gain on what has already gone.

If you goal is to reach one bitcoin, your concern should be on how to increase on your overall earnings so that when it is time to increase on your accumulation allocation, you can easily do it and other aspect of your finance wont get affected negatively. the journey to your investment goal requires patience and not just forcing things to just feel alright.

Setting a time frame of achieving your target is the problem here. Because, certain things might really happen along the line that may hamper your accumulation speed or number of BTC to be accumulated as you previously planned, thus, making you not to meet up.

Just as you mentioned, things do happen and investment plans might shift or can be forced to change. Therefore, even though time frame might be just to serve as a guide, but I think it doesn't really matter since we can't really predict as to wether Bitcoin in the next few months ot years will move upwards, downwards or sideways while has an effect on our buys. Lastly, out income too, may be faced with pressure that may not allow us to grow rapidly or vise versa. I think setting a target in number of accumulation us much more better and easier compared to setting a set date for reaching a particular accumulated Bitcoin

There is no problem with person planning. Plans will even help the person to focus on their long time goal of ongoingly accumulating m, to increase their bitcoin stash

We sure as hell ain't robots and machines that will just follow and do everything that has been programmed to do. Bitcoin investment isn't a race and you sure as hell are not rushing to meet with anyone. So if anything happens along the way, what is difficult about making changes and adjusting along the way? And when you DCa into bitcoin, then adjusting the amount to what you can afford to buy will not be problem

The perspective you shared is deeply meaningful; I view investing more in terms of consistency rather than as a race—even though, historically and currently, everyone seems to be racing to invest in Bitcoin. What is important to understand is that one should simply focus on being consistent in purchasing Bitcoin for oneself, without fixating on the holdings of others—though there is certainly no harm in keeping an eye on the assets of major investors who buy in large volumes. Fundamentally, however, every investor should view themselves as executing their own plan rather than competing with others. I fully agree with this mindset, as it helps maintain the motivation to keep buying Bitcoin without the burden of feeling like one is in a race.

Honestly i don't see why anyone should be concerned about other people portfolio. Their portfolio is their business, not yours.
Saying there is "certainly no harm" in keeping an eye big investors portfolio is vague

Plenty folks later end up comparing themselves or try to copy and it can lead to poor decision making because big investors more money, different goals and are willing to take bigger risks than most people. It is better to focus on improving your plan/strategy and manage your money well instead

Is true that there could be an experience of slowness on the Bitcoin investment towards the targeted timeframe a person would have because of the changes and things the person must handle first but however keeping timeframe will still be very important to you because it will not allow you to forget the target you have giving yourself so immediately after those difficult moment are gone you will continue the Bitcoin investment, although the reason of setting a target isn't actually that is a most to arrive at that time but the reason is to give yourself a purpose so even if you hit the target a month or months after the your timeframe is still the target you have accomplished.

Preview of this title and drawing answer to it, every human life pursuit is solely depends on individual capabilities, and decision not everyone that start a raise have equal strength and energy to finish same time but in a consistent move of the weak in the raise can still finished with time difference. I would not state to refrained any one with having a focus on people portfolio as what their dream tends towards to achieve because human being is always have competitive nature and comparison lifestyle that motivated and push them to certain achievement, but such must not be contrary to individual ability, because details finding on how the investor or Bitcoin holder whose portfolio is attractive get to the level must be known and factor out it's risk if it can be followed. The best in Bitcoin investment is not to have competitive mindset and over calculative mind if hitting a target, as that most time could be discouraging, some holder whose portfolio is attractive never considered how long it's take what grant then the victory is the consistency, the amount they are putting in, time difference as determinant is strictly on consistency and amount invested towards the pursuit of 1BTC, of which not every investor can hit such target.

Having a plan on how to go about our bitcoin investment isn't a bad thing. Infact having a good plan will makes it easier for us to be able to achieve our long term goals. However, no matter how solid our plans maybe something can happen along the line to derail our plans. Therefore, there is nothing wrong if things did go as we plan . We can always make changes and the most important thing is to remain consistent and continue accumulating bitcoin until we are able to achieve our long term goals.

No one said the journey would be smooth Ofcourse there would be challenges, distractions and things that might even cause disbelieve for holding longer take the coldcard as an instance but the ability to overcome such challenges is what makes someone a real investor or holder, so as much as we're holding we ought to also prepare for future challenges.

Many holders have deviate some are even borrowing trading ideas that end up putting them in more mess but real holders doesnt allow short term problems to make them deviate, they adapt to any change correct errors and continue to ensure that they achieve their goal.

Even though the actual situation might go beyond our plans, once you’ve made a plan and set targets, try your best to stay focused and work towards them.
you’ll feel frustrated if you lose all your Bitcoin or even part of it because your plan failed. It’s not because you can’t start over, but the thought that you’ve been at it for a long time and now have to give up before reaching your goal.
Planning is important in investing, and try to avoid problems along the way.

Most of the time, when implementing a strategy to acquire BTC, an unforeseen event (accident, medical emergency, etc.) can occur that forces us to prematurely withdraw our BTC investment. This can be very painful due to the effort invested, significantly reducing the long-term impact of acquiring BTC.

We all know that when investing, it's wise to have a reserve fund for unforeseen events. Creating a separate emergency fund reduces the likelihood of having to dip into our BTC investment.

A good plan for these potential eventualities could be:

1.- A BTC investment plan using the DCA method with strict discipline and a long-term perspective, considering that during dips, you can buy a little more BTC if possible.

2.- An emergency fund, which isn't so easy and requires a significant additional effort to accumulate fiat currency or stablecoins like USDT to serve as an adequate safety net for real emergencies.

I don't think the goal for every bitcoin investor is to get to 1 BTC, so I don't think anyone should really bother themself about it. To me the most important thing is to keep accumulating at your own pace. You can only investor in bitcoin based on your income and how much you can set aside as discretionary fund. I think what you should be more worried or should I say what you should hope for is fir bitcoin to do well and you might not even need to get up to 1 BTC to achieve your goal, because I believe that most investor has a goal they have set for themselves and I don't think that includes getting to 1 BTC, so for me the most important thing is to be consistent rather then thinking of when you will get to 1 BTC.

It is not possible for everyone to be able to accumulate 1 BTC, because investors financial situation is not the same. So for this reason it is good for everyone to have their investments goals based on their own financial capacity. People shouldn't be comparing themselves to others. If someone is having a target of acquired 1 BTC within a set timeline, doesn't mean we should imitate them. It is always good to set a target of how many BTC we planned to accumulate within a given period of time. This will make us to be more consistent with our bitcoin accumulation. The main aim of having a target is that we  will be motivated to keep on or continue accumulating bitcoin until this target is reached.

I share same belife with you, 1btc should not bother anyone it's not the end of bitcoin,  many investors buy more than 1btc daily for their investment, because they have the money to buy it, buy at your level there no competition to reach 1btc,  never pressure yourself to that goal,  the joy of everyone is to own a bitcoin no matter the quantity,  just buy and hodl because bitcoin is thr future of money.

Most of us might not have 1btc for life, but we're happy to embrace bitcoin investment.  I'm not bothered about it at tall, I just want to buy more for my personal use in the future.
