Bitcoin is a topic that will never stop being discussed as it is now in almost everyone's pocket. Excessive discussion can have an impact on your personal life especially if bitcoin is illegal in your country. Criminals can steal your leaked exchange data or fund data and can also come to this forum and harm you. When these digital assets are linked to real world identities they can be exploited to your advantage through wrench attacks or brute force attacks. I read a report a few days ago where kidnappers kidnapped someone and demanded bitcoin as a ransom. So it is important to protect your privacy so that no one can know the amount of your funds.

When it’s revolutionary, it stays in the mainstream of a lot of discussions because, people need to hear it and be informed on it while, taking it for its benefits. Of course the threat such as we’ve began to see are there which are related to physical harm and just how much you can be jumped off at a goal but, it hints on the need to take your security seriously and why you shouldn’t rely on a single wallet for storing your Bitcoin. Having 2 or 3 wallets where you can starch some sum that wouldn’t hurt letting go in any eventuality can work too.

[...]
Idea of Distributed Security is something that is not given much attention until one finds out that it is too late. Vast majority of individuals use Bitcoin as bank account in which everything is in one place, but that is old thinking pattern. You must make yourself appear as your own security company in decentralized world. Physical threats that you cited are real in that, unlike digital hack, you cannot patch physical confrontation.

Greatest way to go is to have system of Decoy Wallet in addition to your regular storage. When you store little in mobile wallet that you use on daily basis and transfer rest to multi-sig or even hardware wallet physically concealed, you add layers of security. In this manner, although someone may push you into displaying your money, they will only see the decoys and not your life savings. It is not merely matter of having various wallets. It is about making sure that there is not single wallet or place that holds  keys to your entire net worth. Only way one can be truly free with Bitcoin is to make him hard target both on and offline.

I seek for your attention today because of what's happening in the world right now, I want you to drop your old habit about promoting Bitcoin, from now on Bitcoin will be fine, there is no need to talk or promote Bitcoin anymore.

It's not a warning, it's a command, for your own good, it's not safe to talk and promote Bitcoin anymore, the world knows about it right now, the mission is already over.
While some are calling for an end to advertising of bitcoin, others are promoting this asset to children by creating an alphabet and songs about bitcoin Smiley ( ⇾ ABCD Crypto/Bitcoin Version For Kids (Lyrics and Song)). I believe this (expanding bitcoin's user base by attracting a younger audience) is the wrong approach, and I believe the best way to promote bitcoin (if that's what you really want) is to simply use it for its intended purpose. Don't talk about it, don't try to introduce your neighbor to this asset, and don't convince them to invest - just use it for p2p buying and selling.

Stop talking about bitcoin - just use it.

Bitcoin is already accepted as form of commodity and currency, it even dragged along with it other digital currencies that we have now. Before people laugh at the hodlers now they envy them. Bitcoin is already known worldwide, let's just stop telling others about it, people are now being born with bitcoin older than them, and for sure they will know it is real, and not a myth.

You are right. Nowadays, this is no longer bitcoin promotion, but putting yourself and your bitcoin account at a high risk from scammers and bad guys around. Everyone already knows about bitcoin, and everyone is aware that bitcoin can be used as a currency, but more than that what is more tempting for evil eyes is the undeniable highly expensive value of bitcoin, and once you start promoting bitcoin, people will eventually think that you are also secretly accumulating bitcoin.

So just get rid of the idea promoting bitcoin for global adoption. We may lost our bitcoin first, or worst our own precious life before bitcoin's global adoption finally globalized.

Isn't Trump trying to make America the capital of crypto? That's a lot of promotion already, it's true that promoting Bitcoin is not important anymore, doing it now is you risking your life.

Russia knows about it, Muslim countries knows about it, Iran is mining Bitcoin, America made ETFs for Bitcoin, every other organisation joined already, what are you going to say that's going to have this big impact? Nothing.

Bitcoin is already successful and very popular, now that some bad actors are hunting down victims and someone on here is telling you to stop promoting Bitcoin, how is this a bad advice?

Some people still won't listen, not until they become the victim of those attacks themselves, people like that are everywhere they tend to change only when it's too late.

This is what's scary these days. The safety of a bitcoiner also lies into their hands. If they have opened up the discussion about Bitcoin to the wrong people, they might put their lives into jeopardy. I see nothing wrong with promoting Bitcoin but if you do care of what's happening in the surroundings with violence and crimes related to Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. We will have that second thought if we'll talk about it in public with people we know. Because we cannot be sure anymore with these people even we are friends with them because whenever money talks, a lot of ears listen.

This makes sense even without over-flogging the issue. People are getting killed for crypto and common sense should tell everyone that you do not flaunt crypto ownership these days, especially if you own a lot of it. I think the primary targets of kidnappers are crypto influencers and all those crypto guys on X and Instagram. Everyone ought to exercise some restraint.
I don't really see anything wrong with talking about the bitcoin,  the problem is who are talking about bitcoin with; and why? If you have a friend who knows about bitcoin and ask a couple of questions just for more clarity, you would definitely need to respond to that question if you have an answer.

Flaunting crypto ownership is quite different from educating interested persons about bitcoin, maybe not publicly but in a private space. It is profitable knowledge to thread careful when talking about bitcoin but that depends on the situation, it does not mean sharing how much bitcoin you own or earn through trading.

I understand the angle you are going at but the truth is that bitcoin promotion can be done in different ways just like how we do it in the forum here and which is well known does not cause any harm or any reason to raise alarm.

I still feel there is still need for bitcoin promotion, so many people know about it but not everyone knows about it, it can still be promoted in a safe way that wouldn’t cause any harm and also stopping bitcoin promotion will not stop hackers from stealing.
The bitcoin promotion on the forum here has really helped a lot of people who don’t know or have little knowledge about bitcoin gain more knowledge, as well as grooming them into good investors which is a good thing.
