Do you compare a product prices in different shops before purchasing it?

I think that i make compares when I am about to chose. But in most of cases, which is the cases of the majority, I am pushed to consume based by needs, this will limit my time to make choices or to make conclusions about what should I buy and at what price.

I would like to buy in the cheapest price if I have a limited budget that I have to pay for many things. But at many cases, if not the most of cases, I have to buy what is available at whatever price.

At best cases I compare between prices in shops I have visited before, but not to spend time checking. I think this is a commun usual behavior.

For example, if you want to purchase a car, you'd have to look at different dealers and try to get the best deal, because saving $500 on a car for instance is a big difference.

That said, even though consumers want to maximize their resources, they are still looking for the product that "solves their problem" and believe me, they wouldn't mind paying a few dollars more to get one that actually does.

Yes, especially when purchasing the product the first time.
Not trying to know the exact amount but knowing the range of price action on that product is a clue to becoming more aware and not feel cheated by just one seller.
Some sellers uses the opportunity to cheat sellers because of their ignorance of knowing more about the price of such product, some sellers doesn't care about it.

But knowing the price range of a product from different sellers is a good idea, I prefer it.

Yes, it depends on what you are trying to buy. If it involves significant amount of money, much better to canvass in different stores before buying. In my case, in terms of groceries, I already know which supermarkets are selling in lower prices. But of course, if you need some items and the store nearby is the one which sells a lil bit expensive than the other, the tendency is to buy from them owed to convenience. Remember, the 7-11 convenience store - they are selling quite higher than the regular supermarket, and yet, some people are stilly buying from them. Just because of proximity and convenience.

Why not? I see nothing to be ashamed of,  it is a legitimate consumer right and everyone should do it. As long as the product are the same, choosing the seller with the lower price is perfectly reasonable.

However, I would not rush into buying just because that store sell it cheaper and offer free delivery...I would prioritize the store's reputation, customer service, and warranty or return policy. I would not trade my peace of mind and satisfaction just to save a few extra dollar.

Yes I do go to different shop to compare prices before finally making my purchase, many like inflating prices on goods , I just discovered that shops in neighborhood sells more expensive than market , so I usually go to the market , sometimes I go to 4 or 5 shops before buying, I like buying on physical shops than online, I have tried online on several occasions but it didn’t end well for me , it’s either appear smaller in real life than the one I saw in the picture and one complain or the other , so I have decided to make out time anytime I want to purchase something to go get it myself and compare prices to get a lesser price it saves money but I don’t know about there , because I had a friend who don’t care about price whatever they told her , she buys , so people differs .

With how things are going in this economy, no one has to be told to always do price comparison before purchasing something, especially in my own country. If as a person you’re ashamed of going to shops to compare prices then you should have a lot of money haha.
Because as long as it’s the same product and you can find a seller that is selling it way cheaper than others, then you should definitely purchase for the seller selling lower.

Before buying any kind of product, it’s always good to check and compare properly product price. When I used to go to the market with my father, I noticed he would ask for the price of the same item in a few different shops before deciding to buy product. That kind of careful checking really helps in making better choices. For items with fixed prices, we don’t really compare much but for fresh goods, we usually check a few shops first and then buy after confirming the price. Maybe this is the best way for buying product.

In this period of economic uncertainty, saving a penny from a lower price is an advantage. Comparing prices from different stores or markets is essential to avoid waste. In trying to get cheaper goods, it is also essential to consider the quality and originality of the products. This is because I have seen people sell fake products at a cheaper rate. If you have the time to move around to compare prices, it's okay. But I don't have that time, so I mostly check the best prices online before making purchases. yes it’s easier to do online because you only need to get a few clicks to compare but the disadvantage is that you won’t be able to actually see or feel the quality of the product. you might buy a cheaper one but it might get delivered to you in bad condition

There are times when I don't feel like stressing myself,I'd just purchase an item at particular shop but when I find out that's cheaper from other places, I'd understand that it's the price I had to pay for not doing a little survey. It depends. Generally speaking, if I can buy the same product for less, I’ll buy it. But if I can buy the same product just a 5-minute walk from home, and I’d have to drive to get the cheaper one, I usually pass. I’m talking about products that aren’t very expensive; if it were a product costing thousands of dollars, that would be a different story.

Online, yes, I search and compare more, but for products bought in a physical store, and depending on the price, I tend to value convenience more than price.

Stores that sells cheaper and gives discounts for bulk purchases makes more sales because a lot of end users will be patronizing them. Before looking for where you will get what you want to buy at cheaper price you need to consider some factors before embarking on the journey like the nearness of where you will go to compare the price. Time and energy should be put into consideration if you are buying one or a very few items. If a mega store where you will get a what you need at a cheaper price is far from you it is better to ignore the little price difference and buy from where is nearer to you. Only go to a far place for cheaper price if you are buying a lot of goods.

Yes I do. I'm always trying to save a little, here and there as much as I can. War, inflation, high cost of living, everyone is affected by these factors. So, whenever there is an opportunity to save, I save, even if it means I might have to go around from place to place, shops to shops comparing the prices, or haggle with the shop owners. Actually, I do that a lot, I'm not the best at it, but it still saves me some money.

As for comparing online, we don't have much here. If it's a big expensive thing like a piece of electronic hardware, like a smartphone, TV, or a GPU, yeah, then I try to compare the prices with different vendors/shops, and go for the one with most of my money's worth (comparing both the price and the reputation of the shop). But when it comes to daily things, well that we have to do physically. I'm also into coupons, discounts, redeeming points etc, and whenever I go to a supershop, buy in bulk, I try to apply those. It saves a couple of hundreds of mine. I still have a few unused coupons on my online payment app.

Yes, I do my market analysis always especially when I want to buy something in bulk or large quantities when every amount matters since it’s bulk.
My reason for doing that is because my country lacks price control, and due to lack of price control, almost every business person decides their prices depending on how they want it, and some use demand to increase prices while some who feel they don’t have competition will just put the price as they wish which is better wrong.

Because of lack of market regulation in most markets due how government officials partake in business now and are keen to make profit, I decide to look for cheaper and affordable place to get my stuffs. Although I want the best price but I also consider quality.

For that to happen, I have to move from one shop to another, which will cost me fuel for transportation. What I do is, if I purchase from this store, next time I need that product ill go to the next store, that's how I know which store sells it at a lower price. Of course, the economy is not easily favorable, so I support people putting effort into reducing expenses for themselves. If only it were possible to walk from store to store when shopping for groceries within my region. It is basically what I would be doing to reduce cost.

I'm actually good with that, but I noticed that while their products are cheaper in prices, their shipping fee is way too high also. Compared to those quite expensive in price, they usually have a lower shipping fee, though it actually depends on how far their location is. So you have to be really mindful with that, otherwise instead you'll go looking for a cheaper rate, you'll end up paying a higher amount.

But I don't mean to say not to compare the price. It's always best to come up with a reasonable price, because you are not just paying the price alone, but the rate of quality and durability of the item also.
