To be honest, I did think Bitcoin was too expensive when I first got into it and started learning about it, and before I began investing in it. At that time, the price was still in the tens of thousands of dollars. However, I was driven to keep believing that Bitcoin’s price could go much higher in the future because I saw that at the time, the number of people holding Bitcoin or even those who knew about it, was still quite small. Although it seemed like quite a hype within the crypto community, the reality was that very few countries actually held Bitcoin, and there were still very few institutions investing in it back then. In fact, at that time, perhaps only MicroStrategy, as a public company, dared to openly accumulate Bitcoin. Meanwhile, BlackRock and all the major global companies hadn’t even shown any interest yet. This was because Bitcoin ETFs hadn’t been heard of yet, even though it seemed there were already plans moving in that direction. At the time, I saw all of that as the perfect entry opportunity. Although I think the price was around 20k–30k USD back then, I don’t recall the exact details.

But one thing is clear, I believe Bitcoin could reach a price above 500k USD in the future. And hitting 1 million dollars is also a possibility, though that might take a longer timeframe.

We feel regret each time we hear about Bitcoin that it was very cheap back then but never see it as cheap now. Only time will tell if it is expensive now or not. Keeping the growth of bitcoin in mind most of the users have stated the current price of bitcoin isn't expensive. Thinking from a layman's view this is huge. In my country daily wage worker gets paid around $12-$15 per day. How long it would take him to own a bitcoin. He requires atleast 20 years to own a bitcoin as a whole if he keeps spending everything he earns into bitcoin which isn't possible. As of now, the possible choice is to own small fractions of bitcoin. Once it served as everyone's money, now it have got transformed as a rich man's asset.

That is how things work, not every thing that is great today actually started great. I could remember that bitcoin was seen as something that was worthless and no body gave it a lot of chance no wonder many people missed out on the phase phase of adoption when Bitcoin were practically free. Reading old posts makes us realize how it was for them. They had no idea that Bitcoin could ever hit $100k. Most of them are inactive these days in here, but they were dealing in hundreds of Bitcoins back then for just a few dollars and just like that it might be possible that others would feel the same way like we are feeling. The amounts we are discussing, making deals, are not that high for now but maybe in the next 20 to 50 years things would change.

That's why I have firm beleive that we are still not late to enter the market because we don't know how much potential it have and how high it can go even from its all time high.

It was scary holding Bitcoin back then.  Everyone was trying to dump them as fast as possible when they sold things.  It was a wild time.  I remember I used to give out BTC to people for making jokes on the forum.  Full bitcoins.  Now I don't think you'd be able to find that same generosity.  If any of the 1 BTC = 1 BTC guys wants to prove me wrong, I'll happily supply you with a laugh and a payment address.

This continues to develop over time. Bitcoin's value is indeed increasing. Although it's currently in a slump after its ATH, we all believe that someday, in the next few years, its price will even surpass this ATH. Yes, we're very confident, because Bitcoin already has such a high level of trust and a reputation for its value in the market.

In the past, Bitcoin was perhaps only known within the community. But over time, its popularity has widened. Now, not only the community but also various large businesses, large corporations, and even countries have recognized it. Therefore, Bitcoin's value will continue to rise.

But Bitcoin’s price has actually been lower than that. In an old thread you can see that an early user once auctioned off 10k Bitcoin with an opening bid of $50. And if at that time someone had bid around $51 or even $60 then they would have gotten Bitcoin at a much lower price. But the auction ended without anyone placing a bid. I think that at the time many people still didn’t believe Bitcoin would become so valuable. And perhaps that’s how people feel who think Bitcoin is already too expensive. But I personally would never consider Bitcoin too expensive given that its performance so far has far exceeded the predictions of early adopters.

Most people saw bitcoin as already too expensive when it was $3k+ and did not invest but look at bitcoin today. The current price of bitcoin could look too expensive but its future price would cancel every doubt. Bitcoin's price is never too expensive when you make regular input,  never focus on the price and save for the future.

Back when I'm starting to get involved in cryptocurrency, that was around September of 2017, and back then, the price of Bitcoin is already at the $2000 - $4000 price range. Haven't seen Bitcoin's price being less than a dollar, and back when it happened, I'm still out there studying in college and spending money on some stupid things.

Anyway, I've heard this multiple times. The phrase "It's too expensive". I've heard it when Bitcoin's price is at $10000, $20,000, $50,000, $100,000. I mean $100,000 might be a bit expensive now because it's near the ATH, but bottom line is, if you have that kind of mindset, when will be the time that you'll be accumulating your Bitcoins? If you always think that Bitcoin's too expensive, when will be the time where you will also think that Bitcoin's too cheap? I mean let's always be realistic with our assumptions, and if there's anybody here that still believes that Bitcoin will go to $1000 then maybe they can just quit investing now.

Bitcoin exceeding a million buckos? I believe, but the question is "WHEN?". After 5 decades? 10 decades? During that time, we might've seen a better version of Bitcoin already.

Bitcoin has taught us that no innovation should be ignored or neglected. Bitcoin was the first coin of the crypto journey, which was the beginning of the innovative journey of crypto, no one may have been interested in being a part of that journey at that time. But their reluctance has proven how wrong they were just a few years later. As time goes by, the mistake will continue to be proven to be a deeper mistake. Bitcoin wasn't even looking like investment then, anyone with computer could mine and get some, more reason why it wasn't too valuable the time but over time, it became popular, common computers couldn't mine it until you get a some specialized hardware miners. It became mainstream and gradually it became something some people value. We had more concentrated miners from China, this is why when the government banned Bitcoin, we had so much dumped because miners sold their coins due to government regulations.

Looking at how expensive the price is today and how Strategy breaks the banks to buy billions to their reserve, I'm sure that if he has a way to raise half of that money around 2010 he would have his hands on more than 50% of the supply but today he can't even get 10k with such amount. That is today price, we don't know how expensive it will get in the next 10 year, let's hope the fantasy of countries reserved doesn't break and fade, that's  when it will become crazy.

Honestly, I think if I had bought btc long ago and hodl it, I would have been a millionaire, lol. If I think about the past price, I regret it but I learned about bitcoin too late. But I also think that the price of bitcoin is not very high and we are still in the early stages. Will Bitcoin hit $1M? Yes I believe that at some point in the future 1 btc will definitely be $1 million but it is a matter of time. In the past, no one believed that Bitcoin would hit $100k, but it hit $126k.

Honestly, I think Bitcoin is expensive right now, and it will be even the more expensive in the future. I think why people failed to bid in that old thread is because, they don't either trust the seller or the product, but I think it's mostly the later. I wasn't here from d start, and I can't say for sure, I know their might've been fudder in d forum back den, but majority of people here from d beginning should be early adaptors, people dat believed in Bitcoin, dat trusted d system and it's product.

Back den, der was no defined market, it was purely p2p, no middle man in the form of exchanges as we have today, or maybe just a few not well established ones as it is today seeing it was 2010, price is mostly based on agreement (I'm bound to be corrected), or previously used value, or auction as stated earlier, that is, what price buyers are willing to buy. Maybe the auction was higher than the established or previous price, so buyers aren't willing to buy from him, but rather will buy from a cheaper source, it's just my thought nothing more, so I might be wrong.

Of course, Bitcoin as I said earlier, will be even more expensive, and might even get to a million dollars, the possibility is huge, with how it is progressing, probably, before it's TS(total supply) are fully mined, it might get to that amount.

Each of you (99.9999999%), even if you bought those 10,000BTC for $51-60, would 100% have been unable to hold on to those coins until now and would have sold them much earlier. So, stop fantasizing about how, if you'd been in that time and place (this auction), you definitely would have bought them and gotten rich now.

Comparing the times when you could buy 10,000 BTC for $50 with today's is fundamentally wrong. The asset's "value" is now assessed completely differently, and buying bitcoin for $50 now won't make you fabulously rich, as it did in 2010.

Bitcoin shares are still profitable, and I'm sure they will one day reach $1 million, but to get rich on that growth, you'll need to invest significantly more than that $50.

It really surprised me to read that old thread. If you calculate it, it was 16 years ago that he tried to auction 10,000 BTC for 50 and the highest bid was $25. Ultimately, the auction was canceled. If we had 10,000 BTC today, it would have made us rich for seven generations.

On the other hand why didn't we succeed at that time? It's true that 16 years ago, many people still underestimated Bitcoin and we can't blame them. Perhaps if I were in their shoes, I would have had the same doubts. But today, Bitcoin can be considered a global force and this should be a lesson for us all that visionary ideas often seem unreasonable at first. So, to avoid painful regrets in the future keep saving Bitcoin and be patient. Those people, who aren't buying it now and who are saying that they might have done it when it was cheaper don't know what they are talking about. If someone thinks it's not going up from here, they sure as hell wouldn't have thought that it would go up back then. It has way more uncertainty and there were no institutions interested in it.

People who were playing with it was very marginal and small group of people. Everyone around them who had heard of it said it was a scam. It's easy to think it was an easy to just buy and hold, when we know about the  with current atmosphere around it.

There's always this interplay between the past and the future at the negligence of the presence making it feel like the presence doesn't matter at all.

If you're too concerned about how low the price of bitcoin was at the past and how that you should have bought at a cheaper price if you bought them without paying attention to the present price and how it will still look too small in time to come, you will spend the whole of your life imagining things that are not real. As long as the past is concerned, it's gone and long gone for good. What matters is the present and if you're not able to make the best out of the present, then you better forget about assuming you would have done better if you were around at the time bitcoin investment even started.

Yes, that's right. Many people make the mistake of focusing too much on Bitcoin's price. And they doubt that Bitcoin can rise even higher. But if they look at Bitcoin's all-time low then compare it to its most recent all-time high they might be surprised by Bitcoin's performance. On the other hand Bitcoin has never disappointed during any halving cycle. So I personally believe that those who are still hesitant to invest in Bitcoin today will regret it later, where Bitcoin surprises everyone with its performance during the next halving cycle. As for those who have already invested in Bitcoin they’ll be all smiles on that day. Bitcoin’s adoption is growing. And its performance is improving. Widespread Bitcoin adoption is on the rise. I’m confident that in the coming years Bitcoin has even greater potential for adoption. And that will drive Bitcoin’s price even higher or even reach a price that most people can’t predict right now.
