Have you ever felt quitting gambling, but could not?

I was just pondering within myself why most gamblers keep complaining of the losses they incure in gambling but are unable to quit. There is one thing I noticed that keeps us gambling even when we are not at profit. Every gambler is full of optimism, even though we loose our bet, we still believe subsequent bet will favour us, and it may or may not also work that way. We sometimes see, and hear on the news how some bettors have won huge bet, and they flaunt on the news sometimes with the betting company or what they have achieved with the money they won. All those things we see are real, and they keep motivating us to gamble even while recording long time losses.

There are patient loosers who are lucky to hit it big after many seasons of losses, but still not every long term looser will be lucky enough to hit big win someday.
Sometimes, as gamblers we fill discouraged in the market, because long term losses. Therefore we should maintain carefulness as we remain in the gambling market, and gamble responsibly if at all you cannot quit as a result of losses.

As long as there is hope of winning in front, it will be hard to give up gambling because of this long time of losing, and as long as you are not spending the money big at once, you will not also feel the pain that much.

As for those who take and consider gambling as a full-time investment or business, only they can give a reason why they have not quit doing something they have been into for long without accounting for at least a 10% ROI on a yearly basis.

A lot of players keep on gambling even when they have incurred a lot of losses because they are still hopeful that they might end up winning a huge amount at some point. For most gamblers addiction keeps them in the game, no matter how they try to stay away from the game it always seems impossible. Isn't it obvious that what is keeping gamblers to continue gambling is be believe that they are going to win one faithful day, but the truth is not all gamblers witness that lucky day because some of them get exhausted mentally or financially so they quit gambling. Many couldn't because they have sufficient funds but the truth is that not all gamblers really have the sufficient funds to continue gamble, but because they can't just let go, they chose to chase to patiently chase their losses and taking big risks.

So long there's a chance of winning, gamblers will remain motivated. We know that gambling comes with risk and that risk can not be avoided but controlled. With a good risk management, you can survive the intense period when losses seem to be endless. At some point you are lucky and make one win that will pay back all what had been lost. If I ever want to quit gambling it would be for reasons that Im drawing too much attention to it and I'm being distracted by the fact that gambling is cancelled make me profits instead of enjoying the fun part of it. But then I'm not that kind of gambler. I see to it that I only gamble in period when in bored and once my deposit is exhausted I call it a day..

If you battle with decision making for something like gambling then you may want to check yourself again I always reference the fact that it's very easy for people to trivialise gambling in discussions especially if addiction is involved but in reality it's difficult for majority of them to take actual decisions.

I have been a victim of this kind of mindset where I was fully decided and committed to quit gambling. However, there were too many times that I relapsed to the point that I tend to justify those actions by rationalizing it. Unfortunately, this became an endless loop where I would say that I would quit but in the end I would end up spending money in the process.

What really made me "quit" gambling was to accept that I cannot fully remove it from my system. Instead, I limit the money that I bet by allocating a budget for it. Once that budget is exhausted, that would be the indication for me to stop. So far, this method has helped me limit my gambling expenditure thereby making progress along the way.

Your reason to gamble associates with your purpose on gambling in the first place. If you tend to gamble for profit, then you will chase your losses until you have recover it. On the other hand, if you primarily gamble for entertainment, then the chances of you being addicted is relatively low compared to the first scenario.

Feelings like this are common when you have been experiencing losses, but give it some days you will be fine and the thoughts of quitting will disappear. They don't plan to quit, those complaining are just to get sentiment.  If they have plan to quit, they won't say anything and just quit upfront.  After all quitting does not need to say anything.

We have to be optimistic because nobody knows when they will hit a jackpot. But hopefulness should be added with wisdom. You can't be gambling with more than you can afford to lose because you are hopeful of winning big. Yeah, seeing people with big could serve as a motivation, but we should not believe in every promotion we see showcasing big because some might be fake.

Gambling gives us certain sensations that are addictive and pleasurable at the time of the bets, so even if we lose, we tend to endure that result eventually in order to get those chemicals back in our body. Every gamblers has a paid day their previous won tells them they can one day win any time this this why gamblers finds it hard to entirely stop gambling. I have thought of quitting several time but i see that it's impossible to stop gambling entirely for now, what i only did was to reduce the rate at which is gamble. Gambling is not a source of income but there gamblers who takes it as their our of income this is wrong because there is no guarantee that we are going to win that's why i bet with what i can afford to loss.
