Have you ever felt quitting gambling, but could not?

So far, I just want to take a break for days especially if I experienced some losing streak, but quitting gambling for good, I have never aimed to do that.  I still believe my gambling habits do not make me unhealthy, and it actually offer me some kind of relaxation after a day's tiring job.

But if you are in a situation where gambling is close to ruining your life, then you should quit as early as possible. I know its hard and its never an abrupt move, but any gambler that is willing to get rid of gambling can possibly do that in just a slowly but surely kind of move.

I feel those who eventually go on to hit a jackpot after being patient for long, are also those who experienced several consecutive losses. I have seen people hit jackpot, but the majority of them are not even responsible gamblers, because they've all seen gambling as a side hustle, and quiting has become a problem. Of course, their jackpots and wins serves them more motivation to keep gambling and it's unfortunate that they can.

It's quite unfortunate that a lot of these gamblers are struggling to hit the breaks on their habits, because at the time when they were supposed to do that, they kept doing it. As for me, I have never felt quiting, but quiting is never a problem.

I don't have plans to quit gamble if I gamble too much, the best I can do is to minimize my gambling rate or quite a gambling session. Gambling is more than just making predictions and winning or losing, sometimes those gambling session can be the reason you lighten up your mode after a long day of work and you're feeling tired or moody. So there is no need to quite gamble if anyone feel disappointed with gamble result they can either change casino or try a different approach like using another strategy that makes it more fun except their intent of gambling is to become rich then they may have problems with the results because it was never created to favour gamblers.

We sometimes see, and hear on the news how some bettors have won huge bet, and they flaunt on the news sometimes with the betting company or what they have achieved with the money they won. All those things we see are real, and they keep motivating us to gamble even while recording long time losses.

That is really true, we looses and complains about it if it has occurred repeatedly or streak, but what does still keep us going either with smooth experiences or anxieties is the being optimistic that hopefully, it is going to be better that some days you are going to get your expectations becomes true and some times we tend to be contended so that we don't risk highly than expected.

Addiction is also a strong effect that does not let us quit playing so easily like that even when our temperaments may seem to be under control.

I once suffered a huge financial loss from gambling. All the money I had saved was gone. That's when I realized that I had to get out of this gambling addiction. At that time, I quite from betting for a few months. After that, I started betting responsibly. I only bet on sports . I bet as much as I can tolerate, which will not put me in any financial danger. If you gamble casually, and really understand that gambling is just a game of luck, where u can just keep trying ur luck casually until 1 day u hit the jackpot, then I don't see that as a problem because, with that mindset, u won't be using too much money, and with that, u won't be loosing too much either, since ur not loosing much, I don't see it as a bad thing.

But when those long term losses is affecting u negatively, that's when u should be worried, reflect and take a critical look inwards on y ur really doing this, and y ur really spending unusually on something that is not worth it, or that is not a good investment.

That's y it is always advised to bet what u can afford to loose, don't go making huge bets cause all those will lead to disappointment and regret.

The point is, don’t chase wins by forcing yourself to keep betting, as you mentioned, because that’s not a recommended approach it could even be called the wrong way to gamble. After all winning in gambling is random, so we can win at any time, even if we’re just gambling haphazardly. The urge to stop gambling is something anyone who gambles might feel, but more specifically, it’s likely felt by those who are frustrated by a string of losses or by those who become self-aware after experiencing a series of defeats.

Shirking personal losses by seeking scapegoats is nothing more than escaping the responsibility that should be taken by all adult who become gamblers when they become gamblers themselves. ‎I have never really thought of quitting before, because I gamble whenever I feel like, sometimes in a month I might just gamble once. yes there are losses, but you won't feel it when you don't gamble consistently. Gambling back to back especially when you now incurring losses is what makes people to quit. Its good thing to quit when you can no longer handle those losses, because when you are now trying to chase losses, more losses will come. For the sake of your sanity, it's better to quit early. Some people change their mind especially when they start winning, so they get a strong feeling that it is possible , and that feeling can be addictive. That’s a good story for a recovery on gambling losses. Most gambler think to quit are those who gamble the wrong way that result to huge losses which they can’t afford.

Continuing gambling will be wanted by those who once felt from their own experience how it feels when you receive your winnings. I can tell you about myself. Most gamblers complains of loosing but never quits because they believe there's hope to win despite the losses they have experience and gamblers who are literally addicted to it doesn't give up easily or quitting for the time being just to cool off and maybe resume when they're mentally fit to gamble.

There are reasons why people gamble which might either be for fun and entertainment or for profit making and as such you don't expect those who are gambling for profit making to quit when they continue to loose. Maybe this way works for you, there are some persons that will just give gambling break when they're notice that they are spending too much in gambling, while there are some that will completely stop them from gambling, everyone with what works for them.
