Peter obi officially announced his exit from the African Democratic Congress ADC, citing political interference, internal hostility and instability. This one no surprise many people because the opposition space done de scatter small small.
On one hand, some people de hail am say e sharp, better to leave toxic environment early than to waste time. On the other hand critics de call am serial part hopper wey no fit build structure. With 2027 still ahead, this move fot either strengthen opposition him and kwankwaso or others for align well or scatter the whole thing further.
As naija citizen wey de watch this drama, do you think Peter obi made the right decision?
Wetn be the future of opposition politics now, one big coalition or Everyman for himself?
How this kind thing de affect ordinary Nigerians wey just want better governance?

Drop your honest take, make we hear different angles.

They have started making mistake again which will divide the vote between Atiku and Obi. I believe if both Atiku and Obi joined hands on hands, they can win Tinubu but both of them do not want to become vice. I will also not want Obi to become vice of Atiku.

Atiku can win the primary election if Obi did not leave the party for him. It is good that Obi left APC to NDC, but this leave the question, that can he win the 2027 presidential election when both him and Atiku will still share the votes.

Does Atiku not understand what Zoning all is all about? Why does he choose to contest every election? This is nothing more than a selfish game played by someone greedy for power - their only chance of defeating Tinubu was for both candidates to be from the same party so that votes were not divided.

They had just played to Tinubu, and it was just what he wanted. Both Atiku and Obi are desperate politicians, and I knew they wouldn't work. Nigerians shouldn't expect anything from the next election; it's over.

What do you expect from a greedy politician like Atiku, every 4years he keep ruining things for any political party he is contesting under,bi Don't know why it is difficult for Atiku to keep to the Rules, just as we were expecting a strong opposition from ADC as a party, things has started getting messy which is bad, why won't someone like Atiku understand that he must but be a president and even if wants to try, the party zoning arrangement must be respected.
You're right both guys seem like they are very too eager to get to the presidency by all means and how'll they achieve that when the house is not in other, they are now the ones using their hands to divide their vote, something that would've have been in bulk with the help of such influential politicians they have in their part, Tinubu will be very happy with this development.

So far Obi kwankwanso (OK)  is a different makeup. Opposition party stood in the case of APC PDP so shall it be in the case of APC whatever party. What's happening in ADC is obviously orchestrated to destabilize the obvious opposition known (the OK). Howbeit, for me, these move of hope by OK is a high standing above what is meant to happen in ADC (destabilization). Nigeria really need a new system in place. A Nigeria that #10 can at least afford biscuit worth #100 now and so on.

This is the last chance for Atiku to contest because of his age and also this might be the last time Obi is contesting too according to him; this is his last shot. Both shouldn't have agreed to form an alliance to give Nigerians false hope in the first place. Atiku is not the type of someone that likes to lead from the back, he always want to be the frontrunner, Obi too.

This was exactly what the APC wanted, PDP completely destroyed, ADC divided.

Wake up, with the whole world inflation #10 can never get you a #100 worth of biscuits it doesn't matter who become the next president it's pure Economy. Maybe better Economy policies to reduce hardship and to cash flow the economy but things would never go back to how it was 10 years ago.

I think Peter Obi made a good decision to leave ADC for NDC, according to him, he sighted that the party was divided and he can not be in such environment, which I totally support him. I know most people will be worried about the vote that is going to be shared between him and Atiku and that might hand Tinubu the winner again. I am not really bothered about who is going to win the 2027 election, because I already have it in my mind that Tinubu will do everything to remain in power in 2027, so I don't even think that even if they had stayed together,  they would have been able to defeat Tinubu.  I only admire him that he can smell trouble in the party and he chose to leave, which I think it's a wise decision,  but whatever happens he still remains my candidate,  because I feel he is the only person with conscience.

It will be too difficult for Tinubu to loss election as a sitting president he won the pole when he wasn't a sitting president and i believe it will be easier for him to win again unless Nigerians says no to it. The masses love Peter Obi and they will be happy if peter obi wins this time no matter the party Peter Obi found him self Nigerians will vote for him but the question now is that will INEC announce Peter obi the president? We all know that Peter obi won last presidential election but what happened INEC announce Tinubu as the president and we all accepted it i just pray it doesn't happen comes 2027.

I agree with you, the man clearly smelt trouble wary and decided to exit before e become another messy story. Na better decision be that. Plenty politician go stay inside fire just because of position but obi show say e get sense and self respect. Divided party no fit produce anything serious.
The way things de right now, Tinubu and his machinery go do everything possible to retain power in 2027, even if opposition stay together, the system itself go still favour the ruling party. So the real issue no be just opposition unity but the structure we de operate.

Obi's decision to defect from ADC is a fantastic one as he a leader with vision and not just does politicians that are relentlessly looking for power. Looking at his political leadership system you will see the uniqueness in his political practices that differentiate him from other leaders in the country which is why he can’t continue to stay in a political party that is only interested in power and not ready to administer true leadership.
In 2027, all politicians are pushing to bear the name Nigeria president and without even considering if they truly have what it takes to be called that prestigious name president.

Peter obi officially announced his exit from the African Democratic Congress ADC, citing political interference, internal hostility and instability. This one no surprise many people because the opposition space done de scatter small small.
All this people don dey give our president power already now, because people wey suppose gang up commot tinubu, na dem dey decamp now, at the end u go see say all of them don go divide vote, tinubu go win him thing again. Why all this top politicians no just dey one party, make dem settle down figure out things among themselves, make dem look for house dem go take commot tinubu for power.

As all dis top politicians dey separate, e go dey sweet tinubu already now because him know say dem go divide votes for places wey be say tinubu no go to get much vote. Omo dis country don tire me, and nothing Dey wey person go fit do.

With Wetin all dis our politicians dey do, e just be like say dem just dey fight for their own selfish interest, dem no really care about Nigerians, if dem care no be now dem go talk say dey wan separate.

Obi keeps on making wrong political decisions and at such cannot win election in Nigeria, firstly he feels Nigeria is America whereby people win election by presenting good manifesto, the truth is in Nigeria if you like have the best plans on how to govern the people you will still need to back it up with money of which Obi is not ready to spend shishi.

Secondly, one of the things that made him not to win last time was because he didn’t contest under a strong party, there were no political big weights to join in his fight, this time they have managed to put up some political big weights under ADC like Atiku, Amaechi etc but greed by Peter Obi and Atiku won’t allow them sustain the coalition, Obi leaving to NDC is the worst political mistake instead he would have stayed back to settle any little misunderstanding he had with Atiku, Obi can’t win election in Nigeria using NDC as a platform, which political structure does NDC have? how many political big weights are in the party? most persons haven’t even heard of the party before, sincerely Obi isn’t a politician if he contest under NDC he won’t even come third, if Atiku will have more vote than him, greed is a bad thing it creates divisions, all man just want to be president without put Nigerians into consideration, las las neither Obi or Atiku will win, Tinubu will just be laughing at them.

As naija citizen wey de watch this drama, do you think Peter obi made the right decision?
They have started making mistake again which will divide the vote between Atiku and Obi. I believe if both Atiku and Obi joined hands on hands, they can win Tinubu but both of them do not want to become vice. I will also not want Obi to become vice of Atiku.

Atiku can win the primary election if Obi did not leave the party for him. It is good that Obi left APC to NDC, but this leave the question, that can he win the 2027 presidential election when both him and Atiku will still share the votes.

Peter obi is a greedy fellow watch he can never be the president of this country, why did he leaves ADC because he want to be a president of this country why not be a vice president ateast start from their and see what the future holds for him

Well, if the party isn't in a position to deliver, then y not, he should go ahead and change the party. My major issue is the rate of partism being practiced in the government, Nigeria government is to d people, for the party, and by d party, it's really crazy. No free and fair election, the citizens have little to no voice in selecting leadership, it is party war, not even individual war. Some group of influential politicians, coming together, forming a party, ruling the country, it's really sad.

Atiku is just jumping from one party to another because he is desperate for power and any party he enter he ended destroying it before leaving. PDP was doing alright under Wike leadership until atiku and his greed for power destroy the party. If it wasn't for his greed, five Pdp governors wouldn't have worked against him during the last general election. Sometimes I have this inner feelings that atiku is secretly working for Tinubu and the APC because ADC was the only strong party that could defeat APC but Atiku has done dirt on them, tearing the party apart the way he did in the PDP. With  PDP and ADC destroyed, is there anything hope to defeat the ApC and unseat Tinubu? This is a big concern for me because another 4 years under Tinubu would be hellfire.

Let me tell you, no matter anything in this life atiku must be the next president of this country mark today's date , atiku can never give tinebu a chance to rule this time , you are the only one thinking they are working together, tinebu has already stepped down for atiku this time atiku will definitely go for the presidency this time.

Peter obi defecting from ADC he is a greedy fellow that can not even see the seat of president for the next 20 years to come because he is not really ready to serve, because this is his opportunity to be the vice president of this country but yet because of his greediness he defeat from ADC to another party all because he want to be the next president lol

People self , why not serve this atiku so that both of them can move together and achieve their arm instead of leaving that party to another party, this is totally ridiculous and painful.

To me I think Atiku is greedy and selfish at the same time because you don't expect to be contesting every election when you know that zoning is paramount and the candidature of the party will be zoned. Well, as for Peter Obi he did what was right by dumping ADC and defecting to NDC so he can get the presidential ticket since Atiku is already fighting for that in ADC but by this move the voting strength has been divided because if they had being in one party the votes won't have been divided.

I literally don't expect a miracle in making Nigeria a better place because all of them are like new wines in an old bottle no difference between them, Obi's defection won't affect Nigerians because anywhere a good candidate is we will always support the party and vote outrightly for him so there's no cause for alarm about his defection. People have being saying Peter Obi is greedy for defecting but I don't see it that way he only wants peace and Nigerians are ready to vote for him no matter the party he belongs to.

I agree with you that he made a smart move but d part wey pain me na d vote splitting matter because if obi and atiku had found a way to stay together, their combined strength for north and south for some shake the table well well.
To be honest I no de expect any miracle form any of them whether APC NDC ADC or whatever, na still the same set of politicians wey de recycle themselves but I still five obi respect because he get consistency for Wetn him want.
The real power still de with the people, if Nigerians decide say na obi dem want, party name no go stop dem. But the question still remain, can the opposition overcome the incumbency power and structure wey de with Tinubu?
You believe say more big politicians go still move to NDC before 2027?
Make we de watch how e go play out.

Obi should've stayed and build LP properly, but he chose to follow them Atiku into another party. What did he expect before, did he think that a party that is filled with top politicians like ATIKU, Ameachi, Dino, El Rufai , Aregbsola, David Mark would give him the presidental tickets? It's not possible, those are only care about their personal interests, they even care about zoning. Peter Obi knows that he can't win Atiku I'm Primary elections, the party is literally for Atiku himself. Hadn't been he wasn't swayed by the deception of ATIKU and fellow members, He would still become the presidental candidate of Labour party. If you ask alot of people who doesn't really watch news, they will tell you OBI is still in Labor party and that will affect him heavily in the coming election.

Damn over. And after this upcoming election, Atiku will return to Dubai, and Obi will go to the UK. We, Nigerians will be the ones to suffer everything these present governments will dish out to us for the next 4 years, making it a wasted 8 years.

This is terrible, that the ones we look up to as politicians to rescue Nigerians from the den of this APC government can unite under one party to fight against this wicked government.
