Plenty of Nigerians are acting as if we don’t know what they will do to pressurize this government or take them government out of power and we know it, it is not as if we don’t but what is surprising me is our high level of selfishness amongst ourselves which has also gone to hinder the development and welfare of the people today. You go begin they wonder how we want take progress for this country when we no even like ourselves and our lives too.

In Nigeria today all politicians have forgotten the main reason for getting into public offices but placed there selfishness in place of there primary reasons for been elected.  Originally, all political representatives are elected into power to serve and obey all the laws of the country but because of the corrupt mindset the exists in them they choose wickedness over that primary reason.
With the way things are in Nigeria now, I don’t think there is any leader apart from Alex otti that is partially administering his duties diligently the way it is supposed to be.

Nowadays, public office (elective and otherwise) now goes with the drive for popularity! The case of politicians are so painful that this popularity gives them more joy than the accomplishment of their duty as public servants.
They even drag the media with celebrities.
Politicians have forgotten there place as public servants. Politicians are not celebrities.

One of the clear reasons some politicians behave this way is because many citizens keep encouraging them. They give people peanuts in the name of salaries, palliatives or handouts and some people will still defend them no matter how badly they perform. The moment anyone asks questions or demands accountability, their supporters quickly come out with insults and intimidation instead of addressing the real issues. Politicians are supposed to be public servants, not celebrities. Their job is to serve the people and be accountable for their actions. Unfortunately, many have forgotten that because some citizens treat them like untouchable superstars instead of elected officials.

Sure the hope of the common man has been entrusted in the hands but they choose to betray us all, once an obedient man is being elected as a body representing a particular areas in a government, many of them will raise their shoulders forgotten who they are before, this just the problem of many of our politicians today, they will start using security all over the places, but normally when you where not elected you where not using security, even to concentrate more on the reasons why he was elected they will deviated and be doing anything, the turn the public office as a personal residence, all their promises are now left behind
