Well said, not every member that's registered on the forum has genuine intentions, you cannot really tell who's fake and real that's why it's better to always be cautious about the questions you ask in order not to look desperate. Ai makes a lot of things easier there's no doubt about that but there are certain informations you might get from Ai that might not be accurate, in cases like wallet issues some people might get more confused when they use Ai. It's better for people that are experienced to guide you but at the same time it is important that you don't share some sensitive informations while seeking for answers just like you said, asking for help doesn't mean exposing personal informations.
There's a way you can ask a question or seek an assistance from your close friend or someone online without exposing your personal information. This can be done depending on how smart your are, if you are smart and while seeking help from someone and they asked you to give out your personal information, your common sense will tell you that they don't have a genuine intention, someone who want to help you genuinely wouldn't ask for your sensitive information like your wallet seed phrase unless they want to steal your assets. You just need to be smart a person when seeking help so that you do not run into more problems or become a victim of a scam. What you say is true. I also often ask for help or advice regarding technology on a "blue" social media platform, and I usually use a pseudonym account that doesn't reveal anything personal about me. Even then, I only ask for advice, without asking for direct assistance. I really avoid that, especially if it involves connecting my device to them. You should avoid that too, and usually I see them offering assistance using apps; like Teamviewer, or Ultraviewer. You might be asking: what is the danger ? My answer is: once you connect your device to the person offering the assistance, you open up access for that person to your device, including the data contained within your device.

I don’t know if am the only one that doesn’t even reply to random messages I receive in my Dm. If I notice I don’t have any idea about the contact, then am not even going to reply the user, because I know social media is full of scammer’s. I do receive lots of messages on my telegram, immediately I receive any message, I do delete the chat from my side immediately, and I don’t even try to respond.
Though I find it childish for someone to respond to a stranger on the internet. This is an old tactic that scammers used back in 2015. I think we are beyond this by now. Telegram is full of scammers, and people should be aware of that, we are no longer in the dark where unknown people can message you saying they have some update that can pay out. Even if they are true, I believe they have other relatives who are struggling and need some financial support. Some people are just funny, because how will you start up a sexual conversation with someone you don’t even know. How will you meet someone on social media, and they going to deceive you with pictures, and you going to fall for it. The way some people behave is just kind of surprising. If you are scammed with this kind of strategy, then you should blame yourself for that.
So people still believe in social media relationship for 2026? How can you just meet someone on the internet and believe is a lady? I don’t think this should still work in 2026. Everyone has realized that those behind this accounts are men pretending to be woman, this doesn’t work like before when people easily believe they were real women and to scam them.

It's called a romance scam and it's mostly targeted at old women and divorced people who are in desperate need of a romance partner or a relationship. They will start from being nice and caring before moving to sexual conversations, videos calls and sending gifts across to the person who they're about to scam. And these old folks fall for them easily, sometimes i don't blame them because people in that situation, they are in desperate need of love. so when someone showed up online to be caring, they start to think that the person is a good person, before you know it, trust is build and they get scammed in the end. Trusting people is risky especially people you meet online as they can pretend that their good to earn your trust just to scam you.

It's not always like the way you see it. People that fell for those scams have one thing in common and that is because they don't lower their gaze. If you are the kind of person that have gaze over lust, the sense of judgment of the things you complain about don't stay with them, they think with their third leg instead of their head that is why they don't know how they got stuck to simple scams anyone will see from far. You don't have to chat strangers, limit your exposure on the internet, don't talk to every stranger you see online. Sometimes, touch the grass and connect with people outside, there are many offline people than people that are online.

The issue is there are still people who fall for these kind of tricked even though there are lots of romance scam that they see over the news or over the internet they still becomes a victim, my friend was being drag into these by someone he meet in a social app, the good thing is he already knew so he just ride on the conversation but he never put a money, the suspect is the one trapping him and showing they have a share money and he should also put money, but he declined still the girl allegedly still trying his best, but did not make my friend invest or put a money on the wallet that the suspect created.

We meet different people in social media, some a good and some are fake, they used to convince people with some little prove, and if you fall to it, you will be the next victim, so you just need to be smart when dealing with new people online, because many of them are not in your Pm to help but to get some little information about you and used it against you later and get what they need.

Not everyone is well exposed to know that most people they come across on the Internet are hiding behind keyboard and they do not represent who they claim to be in real life. Some people do trust easily especially those who has never been scammed and if they get the chance to see people who pretend to love them online they may be willing to give out information about them not knowing that they are giving out things they will be used to milk them. People still believe in Internet love because some of them do meet genuine people who later meet them in real life but the number of scammers are more it is better no to trust an online person because they can easily take advantage of your love to scam you.

To me it looks so weird as I don't see myself to be in such situations where someone would just chat me on media and I started falling into traps of those pictures. Now that you are talking like this, it is possible that it is based on your experience gathered from social media about how scammers operate. Most of those who fall into scammers traps have little or no idea about how these scammers operate. If they really knew how scammers operate, it might be difficult for them to fall into their traps.Another thing is that people have different purposes for being online. Some people are looking for relationships because they feel more comfortable interacting online than approaching a lady or a man physically to express their feelings or talk about a relationship. Most of the people who find this difficult are older people who may even feel shy about approaching someone physically to talk about a relationship. Another set of people who easily fall into scammers traps are those whose reasons for being online align with the scammers offers. For example, someone may be looking for investment opportunities, and then a scammer chats with them and presents what appears to be a good investment offer. Someone who is eager to invest may give the scammer a listening ear, and from there, the scammer may begin to convince them by presenting some fake evidence that looks genuine and believable.

The fraudster will first treat you so well that you can trust him without a doubt, in the beginning, fraudsters will use various techniques to gain your trust so that you easily believe his words by talking to him and fall into his trap. It may be difficult for those who have never been cheated to identify a fraudster but always remember that fraudsters can talk to you emotionally, that you will definitely gain a lot of money very easily and quickly through investment, there is absolutely no possibility of losing money, etc. They will show you various other temptations so that you will believe his words without thinking about anything out of greed but after some time, when you realize that you were completely foolish to believe the man's words without any verification, then you will have nothing to do because you have been cheated, so it is better not to trust a stranger.

I definitely agree all OP has said because i think nothing is left behind from his explanation concerning newbies that can use the a question from them as a means of scamming them, it is also believe that it is not only in this community that such thing can happen, so everyone has to discription everything they are doing both here and out side because ordinary as someone for a direction of a place that you don't about and it happens that you meet a wrong person on way and person can take the chance of you not having the idea place and mislead to scammers, so all newbies should be very careful on the kind question they ask in public and avoid any that PM them for any related business out side the one we are sharing ideas together.

You cannot easily identify scammers because they can tell lies to fool others. If you meet a stranger, what will you do? If he gives you money occasionally and asks you to invest in specific coin? This is how fraud starts. A new investor is more likely to make mistakes in the crypto space because they want to make quick profits. They join various social media groups and get lured by others and use leverage to buy the wrong coin. This is a type of fraud because they lured you to buy that specific coin and you fell for that trap. There are different types of fraud, scammers can strategically maintain a good relationship with you and take over your personal information. Do not give your personal keys and information to anyone you know or unknown.

Some of this scammers are patient and will first build trust over a long time then strike when the have made their victim vulnerable. Knowing someone for long sometimes doesn't change anything it takes good knowledge and experience sometimes to conquer most of their tactics. One thing I came to understand is this fellows spend time trying out different tactics on their victims and as long as that fellow keeps entertaining them their chances of becoming victim gets higher.

The slightest mistake in letting people know you are into crypto can even make you a target for scams. Just imagine someone who needs help from strangers in the internet space. Scammers will use it as an opportunity to scam, and when someone seeks help online, it means the person doesn’t understand the risks and how scammers are all over the internet. This is why the majority of people who rely on help online end up being victims of scams. Scammers are even looking for people who have problems because they know that it can be easy for them to convince victims.
People need to understand that Bitcoin was made private for a reason because we know how people can do anything for money at this point, and that is why it is best to keep all information about your holdings a secret because the moment they know about your holdings, then you become a target, and I am sure nobody wants to be one. If there are any questions to be asked, there is a platform like the forum itself to answer whatever questions you want to ask. And scammers are everywhere, and holders are the bait because they know how humans can be greedy, and this is part of the reason why they are falling victim to scammers this guys know what people want to hear, we just need to be careful. If people really understood what Bitcoin is all about, they would not even try to save their Bitcoin on an exchange. The fact is that many people only understand Bitcoin as a store of value, and that is the most painful thing. Bitcoin was created primarily to give us financial freedom and privacy, but many people do not see it that way. That is why they can even lose their Bitcoin. When your Bitcoin is stored on an exchange, you do not have full control over it. By the way, someone working at an exchange could potentially leak a customer's information, and that person could likely be scammed if they are not experienced and careful. This is because third parties cannot be fully trusted. I have seen some incidents before, and when I look at the tactics scammers use, it makes me wonder whether banks are sometimes the ones leaking people's information so easily. There was a case involving someone who went to a bank to open an account and save money for the first time. He was a local farmer and businessman. However, within one month of registering and depositing his money, he was scammed. The scammer claimed to have some information about him and used that information to gain his trust. That was how the scammer obtained important information, gained access to the man's account, and stole everything.

That was how the scammer obtained important information, gained access to the man's account, and stole everything. Some people don't really understand how damage the stolen of personal information caused, security should be the first priority in bitcoin investment, we don't need to expose our personal informations that's connected to our financial/ investment assets or wealth. But in my own perspective and based on what I have studied so far, scammers has a lots of ways differently that they normally scammed strangers, but if at all, we aslo need to be updated and be vigilant on anything related to our financial activities. However, we still have alits of people today that knew how to purchase and sell bitcoin or holding it for a long-term period, but due to poor financial planning or weak security practices made them lose everything, bitcoin has already given us the freedom by owning it, then it just left for us to know how to control it properly.

The issue is there are still people who fall for these kind of tricked even though there are lots of romance scam that they see over the news or over the internet they still becomes a victim,
That means they are unwilling to learn how to be more cautious when interacting with people online. Given the number of scams happening on the internet, they should have a better understanding of the risks and be more aware of the warning signs. If they were more careful and willing to learn from these cases, they would be less likely to fall for similar scams. But if not, then they will probably end up as victims.

Is not as if they are not cautious, the reason why romance scam and other kind of scam happen is because of desperation, we have some set of people who are looking for love and they have tried all they could to find real love, but they are not seeing it and no body is even interested in talking to them and then suddenly they meet someone online that is interested in them and always showing them love that they have not experienced for a very long time, surly they will fall for the person and they won’t care if it’s scam because they have gotten that which they were so desperate to get, same goes to those who are desperate of becoming very rich.

You are right. Many people may face problems at different times while asking for help in a new situation. Because even simple things may seem difficult in a new situation. Again due to giving too much importance to bitcoin related issues, it is seen that many people do not try much on their own in a new situation. Rather, they find it more convenient to ask someone experienced. For example, making a bitcoin transaction from an electrum wallet may seem a bit complicated to many new users. Therefore if someone asks who is unfamiliar or not trusted, then he can naturally face losses. The example you gave, such incidents are happening regularly. At this time, fraudsters will not directly demand money or want to get seed phrase of the wallet . But they will follow various ways to build trust with a stranger and thereby try to grab his funds.

Yes, Bitcoin holdings are best kept as secret as possible. Especially when new users come here to ask for help and reveal the amount of holdings in their wallet, many times they fall into the eyes of fraudsters without their knowledge. It is good to tell you that Bitcoin itself is not a completely secret transaction system. As you know, every transaction record can be seen on the blockchain. When new users reveal their Bitcoin address here and ask for help, fraudsters can also see the transactions and balance of that address. Although the identity of the owner is not always known by looking at the address. However, fraudsters can use the excuse of helping and empty their balance. Because fraudsters are always looking for opportunities. Therefore, especially newbies should be careful. If someone asks for help, asks for a seed phrase and asks to go to an unknown wallet recovery website, then you should be suspicious.

This is very annoying to say that someone just chats you on social media and start sending you pictures and you believe that person without at least knowing the person for long time or even seeing the person facialy. To me it looks so weird as I don't see myself to be in such situations where someone would just chat me on media and I started falling into traps of those pictures. While growing up, we do those things on social media as teenagers. We get attached to people online and hope to meet them someday. We also call them on video and listen to voice calls with them. It is the same thing that is happening to these adults. Eventually, the scammers have improved at using cam tools that make video calls look real, and voice calls sound perfect, like the real person in the image used to chat them up. People fall for how true the scam was presented.
