How did you get introduced to Bitcoin?

I heard about Bitcoin when Ponzi scheme was the order of the day. I had already fallen victim to their scheme when Bitcoin was introduced to me so I felt it was one of those schemes. It was after I recovered from my loss I had to dive into a quick research by then many around me were testifying to their ROI and how much profit they had made from Bitcoin. It was then I had to try online investment again and this time it happened the investment was worth the time and effort. I think most people share almost similar story because digital assets generally came in  when online investment scams were all over the internet and for most people it was difficult to tell which was legit and which was scam.

I think it was introduced to me by a friend when i was on my senior high school year, yes I known Bitcoin when I was just a student, and we already invest on Bitcoin that they I think prices was lower then 200$ and just looking at the market price at that year we probably do earn a lot of money even though we are just a student by just holding because Bitcoin price could easily make you x2 or more at that time. My friend was just a hustler and he did find Bitcoin online, tell me about it and I end up knowing about it, it was just a story at first but as he told us how he was earning on it, that is where it all begin since we know that he is earning a huge amount even on some project we also get interested and started on crypto as well.

It was surely a core memory since a high schooler who have a huge money in his pocket was really great even though I dont really think a lot of saving or investing it long term, I did buy a lot of things that in my opinion atleast worth it and until now I still used, maybe I could say that it was a great investment or buy, even though there are also some that is just a headache to me.

So I approached him demanding what he was into and he told me everything i pretty need to know and that brought my knowledge about the forum and today am in.  However, knowing the forum was the best decision I made so far and I'm pretty happy being here today.

My friend told me to invest in bitcoin maybe like 2014, but I'm already seeing bitcoin before that year its just that I'm too busy working, and i have no time, because I'm busy playing videogames, and working, my friend told me lets invest in bitcoin, but i said its a scam, fast forward 2015-2016 i started mining, then switch to Ethereum, until i do small trading, investing, fast forward today I'm still in crypto but not that much time, but i always keep some bitcoin and still have some coins, that still holding.

Most case people  heard about Bitcoin through friends or social media and how serious they pick interest is what matters the most and I took time before I heard about it but before my friend introduced me I have been hearing about it but investing was something that I did not do not because of anything but because there was no enough money and the plain truth is that I did not want to risk my money because the little I had I wanted to manage it.

So I was not ready to take that risk not until I understood how this thing works and now Bitcoin is one of the best thing that have happened to me, and unlike now that Bitcoin awareness is everwere there is no point for any one to even stress there self the whole thing is now in there hand and how they make use of it also matters at this point.

That means it was through the forum you knew about bitcoin.
Remember, the question is how you got introduced to bitcoin and not to the forum.
For the case of your friend who was always on his laptop, was he always on the forum or he was a trader, because these are the two things that will clue someone to their laptop.

A bitcoin investor doesn't need to be on his system as always.

Why is the first thing that comes into people's minds when they see young people on their laptop regularly that the person is doing fraud or into fraud? When there are freelancing jobs online which keep people hooked online, sometimes when I'm being accused of being into fraud before being asked what I'm always doing with a PC, I'm already pissed off, and my response will be for the person to respect my privacy. Lucky you, your friend was not rude and introduced you to the forum.

This happened to me also!!
When I heard the name Bitcoin in 2014 (when the price was $400), I thought it was an online point that helps in transactions through technology,
But in 2017 I gained complete knowledge about Bitcoin!
When the price was above $12,000) there was nothing to do but regret.

What’s a big regret those who knows about Bitcoin since 2014 and they couldn’t make it to invest single amount of money really missed a-lots, some who able to invest since the 2014 come now 2026 and still never touch even one naira no be small profits the person will get; but the reason why I couldn’t blame those who had the opportunity and they were not able to invest time when the BTC price was low is because most of them where lack capital.

And as of 2014 our money still has value not now that every thing has scattered on like before before that with little amount of money you can get enough things to buy, and still have some Changes remain that 2014 Bitcoin price is very cheaper; but not everyone where able to afford purchase it.

Oh, I just remembered another story.

One time I bought some BTC when the price was still under $1,000, and my transaction got stuck for a very long time. I had to wait around 6 days for confirmation.

At first I was nervous and thought something had gone wrong, but during those 6 days I started reading almost everything I could about Bitcoin: confirmations, mempool, swapspace, fees, miners, how transactions work, and so on.

Funny enough, that stuck transaction probably taught me more about Bitcoin than any simple article/video/guide could.

Someone told me about Bitcoin and after telling me I decided to do some research by myself and I discover a lot of things about Bitcoin and after that I started investing on Bitcoin for a very long time before joining this forum when I joined this forum I knew more things about bitcoin investment, I am always thankful to that person that introduced me to Bitcoin, right now he's very rich and he became rich through bitcoin investment I think he's one of those early adopters of Bitcoin and he's doing very well for himself now.
Bitcoin investment can actually make you very rich if you are patient and consistent in what you are doing which is consistent accumulation and holding for long term.

To all the knowledge of bitcoin is communicated in different ways, some saw it through advert why others where told by friends and relatives. I will say getting to know about crypto is one of the best experiences I have ever gotten in my entire life, although I got this experience from a friend but in a very hard way that I have to sacrifice much just to get this wonderful experience and I will say it have been beneficial to me since I got to know about it and I will never stop blessing God for that wonderful opportunity
