It's amazing that there are people who don't know Gina Carano! Do these people watch movies? For example, Deadpool, the Mandalorian. I think this is a staged fight. Gina is already 44 years old. Ronda Rousey is 5 years younger and she used to be very fierce. However, I remember watching Ronda lose to Holly Holm. It was the No. 1 sensation back then.
So the outcome of this fight is not predetermined and it creates an intrigue!

Perhaps because during the time of Gina, women's MMA is still it's infancy. And when she leave, obviously they forget about her and think the Rousey is the one the put the women's fighting into the map.

Hopefully the fight is not going to be a setup and this two are going at it. Because this is the first time that I have seen Rousey respected her opponent unlike others like Holm, Miesha Tate and that Brazilian (forget her name).

The change between Gina and Ronda shows how fast the MMA industry is changing, and even disregards its predecessors. The fact that Rousey was calm this time around begs the question as to whether this is a mental game or Rousey has matured in her profession. The fact is that nobody can forget about the Brazilian star player Cris Cyborg, and people are looking forward to having a match in which both players will have a chance to demonstrate their sport skills fully.

Some interesting things happening in the betting market.  The official odds give Rousey an 86% chance to win the fight (low in my opinion).  In spite of that, 94% of the bets being made are for Carano to win.  Either people know something, or that is some serious wishful thinking...  I agree with that from a gambling standpoint though.  There's no money to be made betting on Rousey.  You just have to hope for another Holly Holm situation.
It is wishful thinking if anyone think that Gina Carano would become an elite ground specialist after her retirement and that she could compete against an Olympic Judo medalist.

I would like to see a stand up bout for the first few minutes and would like to see the patented clinch game of Gina and some leg kicks and then Ronda can do her Harai Goshi throw and end up in an arm bar and call it a night.

The actual fight that everyone should be vested in this card will be Nate Diaz and Mike Perry, Mike emerged to become a bare knuckle legend after his UFC days and personally I want to see this fight and the most anticipated fight in the entire card.

Another return is Junior dos Santos, interested to see how he performs after his UFC days.

Finally Francis Ngannou gets a new home after a block buster career in PFL who fought once after departing from the UFC and still made money but PFL lost a shit ton of money.  Cheesy

It is wishful thinking if anyone think that Gina Carano would become an elite ground specialist after her retirement and that she could compete against an Olympic Judo medalist.
But this is why it is called MMA, because anyone can uses her own style not just a Judo medalist. Yes, Rousey might have a advantage on the ground and once she got a hold of you she will just throw you down. She was able to neutralized Rousey and it was the first time that she was exposed, no other game plan but to clinch and go to armbar for submission.

But for sure Gina will be ready for that, she has a good stand up game and we've seen Rousey lost to fighter like Holm who has a combination of kick boxing. And Amanda Nunes who is good at striking.

It's one of those fights that took a long time to come together. They have two very different styles, which makes it even more interesting. Plus, they were both dominant fighters in their prime, and they also share the fact that they essentially retired after losing. That always leaves a fighter's ego hungry for one more fight.

I think Rousey will win if she can put her losses behind her... but Carano definitely won't make it easy for her.

Because they didn't exist in the same era. Gina was the first when she retires, Rousey came into the picture with her arm bar submission and rejuvenate the women's MMA. And both shared that they went into Hollywood after retiring.

I think Rousey will win if she can put her losses behind her... but Carano definitely won't make it easy for her.

We will see in this fight, it took years for Rousey to get over that losses. But yes, Carano has the advantage on the stand up and striking so it won't be that easy for Rousey to used her judo and just take down Gina.

A match between these two MMA iconic ladies of the sport was a dream realized but unfortunately it was never to be in the octagon. The different approaches of the judo used by Rousey and muay Thai used by Carano were sure to provide a beautiful technical contrast. The fact is that the ego of fighters is difficult to put out and therefore the mental state of Rousey who has lost a fight will be one of the key factors whether this fight will occur or not.

Well, so far the odds are ~4:1 in favor of Ronda Rousey (Polymarket). I bet on Gina. Since the bet is small, it doesn't make sense to bet on the Ronda for a paltry win. And so, at least there is a chance to win x5, well, and losing a few dollars is acceptable. Of course, for those who bet $100 or more, it makes sense to think about betting on Ronda Rousey. Good luck!

The fight is definitely going to happen, it's already set and the one that handles it is Jake Paul's company MVP. Well it's not just a physical fight, it's more on a mental game and their age is going to be a big factor too.

But this is just for the fun and this fight could be a setup that it might end up in a draw so that no ego is going to be hurt but at least for women's fan of MMA this is going to be a historic and we all have been dreaming to see that fight happening right now.

Rousey have benefit and seems ready than Carano phisically against Carano that are not fought in MMA for a long time.

People predict Rousey will win with his advantage but we will see it later and if Carano can still gives her best fight, perhaps she will have more chances than Rousey to win. At the time, I don't know which will I choose as I am not frequent to watch both.
