The higher or lower you stake don't guarantee success, but there is a possibility for you to either win or lose, and this is one of the major reasons for a gambler to avoid betting with a huge amount of money, but if they can afford to lose it, then fine. There are lot of 'if's in this scenario. First of all there is no big win is guaranteed in any occasion, so I am not sure how you came up with the story of both win big once in a while?
