I don't think we should take TikTok news seriously. It's designed to attract people more than it's real, so let's take it with a grain of salt. A football ticket at that price wouldn't surprise me if some football fan paid it, especially if they have money to burn. You'd be surprised at how much money rich people often spend on luxuries, hiring artists for private events, so that amount might seem like a lot, but I still think it falls short of other extravagances that wealthy people have indulged in before.

That ticket would have to be on the pitch meeting the players to be worth that amount.   I would say for the right game for the right team maybe one that hasnt qualified in fifty years then the price might be correct on a very rich persons budget.  Never under estimate the price people will pay for something they love and some are soccer mad in this world, USA wouldnt understand but its as big as NFL for sure and only occurs every 4 years.

I wouldn’t buy the World Cup ticket for that outrageous amount, reason being that I don’t have that amount of money. But I won’t conclude that nobody will buy the ticket at such an amount because there are people that have money that can afford to buy the ticket and it won’t be felt in their bank account.  But on a serious note, that amount is very high, if the tickets are actually sold at the amount, there will be empty seats in the stadiums.

You said it already. The price is obviously a joke and such things are completely normal because for every trade, there has to be a willing buyer for every seller at an agreeable price. There is near 100% chance that no one will buy it unless the person is a billionaire and billionaires don't spend lavishly like that because they know the value of money and take care about spending. If I had $12m+ I won't buy because it's not worth it. There would always be more world cups to come.

The original price just range about $10k plus for premium or high demand match tickets as of April-May 2026, it would have been lesser if you bought early. But like FIFA said, once they sold their ticket, they have no hand on its price. Resale markets are now selling it in million dollar price, and FIFA has no control over it since its already been sold.

Now to answer the question, I don't think I would grab for it. I would rather invest the amount into bitcoin or any potential investment. I'll just manage myself watching from television or youtube.

That's only one ticket. Who would buy that ticket? Maybe a very rich guy just to have the tag buyer of an $11.5 million ticket, but since FIFA does not control every ticket price, all they can do is hope it sells so they can get their 30% cut.
If ever the ticket gets sold, then we will have more sellers putting higher tags on their tickets, it may not be in millions, but higher than the usual price, a bad scenario for those who want to see the game live.

That amount is outrageous, or do they want to use the name of tickets selling to launder money? Because that’s the only thing that will explain why someone would buy an access ticket for that price, and each of the tickets is for each of the games, not like one covers all of them. Even US President Trump said he can’t pay $10,000 for a ticket; how much more a common man without much wealth and access to public funds?

It is listed in the official FIFA reselling platform. Majority of the sporting events in the US have higher ticket charges and i have heard complaint from UFC and WWE fans regarding the high ticket prices in the past several years.

If someone buys the ticket for $11.5 million, then they get $3.4 million as commission which is ridiculous.

You'd be surprised to see that someone would actually buy the ticket despite others being available at a lower price. There's the hunt for fame that some people seek that makes them do things that may look so absurd to the ordinary man out there.

For the current price of $11.5 million, they might not buy it but assuming it was being sold around $500,000 - $2,000,000 then  I am certain that someone would have bought it just to make their name trend a little.

Certainly a joke. Even millionaires would question that kind of price, except for those who are willing to blow a huge amount just to get into World Cup 2026 stadiums. Based on my research, the FIFA official site is only selling its ticket around $10k, those tickets who are already sold in million are most likely from individual resellers. We can't do nothing about it, that's also their business, but I don't think people will bite it.

There is no way I would buy for it, though I am dying to see World Cup events in live, if not now, there'll be next times for sure.

Nah, I won't buy that kind of tickets even if it is a world cup, first no one can afford that price, second if you can, I don't think that a sane fans will go with it. And probably most of the tickets has been sold to scalpers, those individuals who take advantage of fans and then balloon the price like this.

Sorry, I wouldn't buy the ticket for such an outrageous price. I believe this is just a joke to prank fans hoping to buy tickets during the next World Cup game. Even if this were true, FIFA, being the organizers of the World Cup, cannot fold their arms and watch people extort money from fans all in the name of tickets. FIFA should also have the right to regulate ticket pricing. If they keep mute about it and it turns out to be true, then our assumptions about FIFA will be proven right; they are only protecting their 30% share of the amount, which will now be much fatter compared to previous years. Surprisingly, people will still buy the tickets even if it is sold at $20m.

if this was true, i am sure some rich person would want to flaunt their wealth by buying this ticket. it is about pride. maybe the ticket also holds other benefits or luxury but i am thinking only a foolishly rich person would want to buy such a ticket.

I have a question, the price is it for one match, or for all the matches that would be played in this competition?

Even though it is for all matches, I bet the stands would be occupied by only few wealthy people, and the supporters would be very few. That said, I do not believe the news. Even though it happened, it would be one greedy marketer shooting his shot at one or more rich clients. No average person can even afford the ticket, not to mention actually buying it.
