Well, why wouldn’t they buy it? There are plenty of people for whom this amount fits perfectly into their “entertainment budget,” and they can easily afford it. Besides, we don’t know the details-it’s probably a spot in some VIP area where world-class politicians and businesspeople will be gathering, and gatherings like that never come cheap. And besides, they’ll get to watch some soccer while having a productive conversation to resolve some important issues

Anyway its a well known factor that "experiences" are "expensive". If you have ever been in a football match of a certain level, only the buffet for VIP offered could be easily a 500 euro buffet with all alcohol and expensive food included free on the price. If you had some valet, merchandinsing, special place, signatures of players, collectibels, maybe a couple of days in a superb suite etc yes the price could reach even these crazy sums.
but there is also another advantage for the buyer... he get free promotion, connections and so on... I would say that even if seem expensive there is always a reason (and someone) that could afford a specific price - at the end the have to sell few tickets and not a full stadium

Some jokes are very expensive, not everything you joke with, the amount is too expensive for a lot of persons to buy, if it is a bit lesser maybe more people will be attending FIFA World cup 2026.

It is not "I wouldn't buy the ticket"  but rather, "I couldn't buy the ticket".  Even if I am dying to get that ticket, I cannot afford it.  But billionaires can.  Not because it is too expensive for me, it is also expensive to wealth people.

Smart wealthy people will not buy the ticket but for those rich people who love bragging and showing off, they will definitely buy this expensive ticket.  Proof?  We can just look around us,  poor people that has a habit of bragging and showing off can spend money that is equal their whole life savings.  What more to wealthy people were $11.5m won't make any dent to their financial capacity?
