One feeling I've discovered over the years is, when you're winning, greed steps in and you don't feel like stopping and immediately you start loosing the thought of recovering all the little that has been lost so you can quit will hit your mind and even though you recover back you still feel like gambling more but in most cases immediately you start losing you just end up losing with few wins until everything is exhausted. As if this is not enough it will still repeat itself in the next gambling session. So the question is, why don't you quit when you've won quite a reasonable amount? Or when you've evened back your previous max win?
Maybe this is really the nature of human and usually we think about its possible for us to win more since we already made it by the time we are playing. That's why majority choose to continue but not all the time people win, because there are times that result end up bad and those people supposed to be a winner got liquidated and their capital and also gains got wiped out due to bad decisions they made. Realization comes late and maybe next time they try their best to correct then try to quit when they already have opportunity to withdraw their winnings.

Because the feeling of greed leaves the player uneasy. The player feels like they've made money too easily and quickly, and naturally, they need to take more because luck has smiled on them. This happens more often only to inexperienced players who don't understand the potential consequences of this gambling.

If everyone of us have the opportunity to avoid losing in gambling, then I don't think there is anyone that we hesitate on grabbing on this opportunity, so I want to blame others that you discover in this category always running after losses in order for them to recover, because they never wanted to be in loss at the first place, another same time they can't afford not to gamble for any reason because it is fun.

The mindset of those that are victims of addiction through the desire of chasing after their losses are never wanted to have fun in gambling, they all want is for gambling to become their paycheck for them, which you are right about it but, they should also be ready to understand that there are every probability that they will surely get a taste of their actions. So, the best thing to do is to just accept gambling to be what it is, not for the sake of their pleasure but for the sake of their safety.

As you said, "greed steps in when you're winning". It's sad to say that a lot of gamblers(It happens to me sometimes, too) tend to think that when they have won a reasonable amount or evened out their previous max win, they think that they are lucky enough to continue winning, and most of the time, they end up losing their winnings and their initial bankroll.

That's why the casino makes revenue. If every gambler starts cashing out or stop gambling right after they get some profit, it will create difficulties for the casinos because their revenues will drop drastically. The biggest reason why gambling is such a profitable business is because it plays with the emotions of people, it is addictive, it makes them feel like they are going to win more if they continue, and then it snatches everything back, the profits and the initial bankroll, and then their mind can't be at peace until they deposit again and try to recover their losses, and this keeps getting worse as they keep going deeper into this well if they don't stop. If you ask why one doesn't stop when they are already profitable, it is because they are greedy and irresponsible, simple as that, and even though its unfortunate, most gamblers are like that. If you do a survey, you won't find a lot of gamblers who maintain a responsible and disciplined behavior when gambling, which is to stop when you are profitable, or stop when you are constantly losing, because irresponsible gamblers won't do that, they don't stop whether they are winning or losing, because if they are winning, they feel like they can win more, and if they are losing, they feel like they are going to win very soon.

In addition to this, the nature of human is that they always overthink something that comes out to be free, without proper analysis the whole process before they can deposit or start to gamble, they only view the positive side of it and completely ignore the negative side of it, that is why they find it hard to adapt or adjust themselves when they encounter with the side effects of their wrong decision and also, there are some that have the mindset to leave because they feel they made the wrong decision but the ability is not strong enough to beat their urge, that is why they are finding it hard to quit from gambling.

If you go into gambling without an actual self-imposed plan to not gamble in case of x winnings or y loss then you are going to have a bad time. The most important first step is to decide a budget on how much you are planning on losing and then hold yourself to it. Going in all willy nilly is not really going to help you or anyone. Same goes for winning. You have to know when it is time to leave the table.

You have already explained the reason why people keep Gambling after many loses or after hitting one big win. Of course greed and wanting to get rich through gambling is the reason why people won't quit after wining a reasonable amount or big win. Sometimes we just can't let go of the amount we've lost, ths makes us to continue chasing loses to recover amount we lost untill you get addicted. Except a Gambler makes a decision to stop or quit, he might just be gambling till infinity try to make profit or chasing after loses.

Or maybe they are already having too much fun that makes them carried away until greed take over them to commit this infinite cycle of unstoppable gamble. Because no one will keep doing an activity if they don’t have fun initially. You will only get addicted to something if you enjoy doing it until you can’t stop it by yourself. I agree on this for those addicted gambler already because they are not driven by fun but due to their addiction.

I think most times is not just about greed, some times the gambler intend to gamble for a few minutes, let's just say a gambler intend to gamble for like 30 minutes and luckily for the gamble on the first 5 minutes he started gambling he won a reasonable amount of money. I guess the gambler might not be satisfied and he wouldn't want to stop so early despite his reasonable winning. Although most of the gamblers that have won a reasonable amount of money but stil lose all to all of the casino are caused by greed (I have no doubt about that).

If it is easy to quit gambling when winning, I believe every gambler will be doing it, to quit when they are supposed to. However, quitting gambling when you are on a winning streak is one of the hardest decisions any gambler would take because it is in human nature to be blinded by greed, when they are doing something that is favoring them. They think it will remain the same way without going against them. That's why you see many gamblers staking big money when they find out that they are on a winning streak

This is a good example of gambling without discipline, and that is what leads to addiction most of the time. When a gambler understands that the gambling site does not owe them any money but its basically luck, it would have the gambler a sense of discipline to stop when the game goes wrong. You do not expect to have a perfect day everyday, but its better to have a worse day than a worst day. Most gamblers suffer from indiscipline and they can tell you what they have lost as a result of it too.

So the question is, why don't you quit when you've won quite a reasonable amount? Or when you've evened back your previous max win?
That is because we still feel the luck and we want to max it out before it turns away from us. But that's the problem of many gamblers, when we know that it's already gone, we still try hard and think that it would come. It just can't help everyone to stop when we've won already because what we think is we're right and we're always lucky even if we're not. Stopping a gambler in doing it will just waste your time by encouraging them in doing so. So, for those who can't stop when they've won a lot, it's a common thing that they won't stop until they're also running out of funds.

Simply because whether you win or lose, it’s hard to control your emotions. Even if you’ve experienced it many times before, you can still fall into the same cycle once you’re in that situation again. When you’re winning, your confidence gets so high that you start thinking you can keep doing it continuously.
Even if deep inside you know your luck will eventually run out, you stop caring because you feel confident with every bet. You just brush off the possibility of a losing streak. Another reason is that since luck is hard to come by, you want to take advantage of it as much as possible before it disappears.
It’s already too late once reality finally hits you.

I don't think that is greed. So are you telling us that when we are winning, we should not gamble again and withdraw all and left gambling? When someone is winning, he is happy and with that happiness, he would like to play more game to win more. In my own opinion, greediness in gambling starts when the gambler won $700 and stake all the $700 again to win bigger amount. But if the gambler wins $700 and use $100 to gamble and withdraw the remaining $600, it is not greedy but a fair gambler.

Because the urge to win more is the top priority of gamblers. So when you hit already your winning streak, the immediate reaction is to keep betting hoping to continue make bigger wins. I am not saying this from my own experience but this is the case in general. People will only stop betting not because they have already made huge wins or when they are at a losing streak, but because they have no left on their bankroll to bet.
In the end, some may learned their lesson and shift their gambling perspective, while some are still left controlled by their emotions, and they won't stop betting until they find no satisfaction in their winning amount.

This is easier said than done for most people because they lack discipline and also they don't have the psychological strength to overcome such urges whenever it comes because definitely it's going to come, you would feel like the next bet is going to give you the return you want and when it doesn't, you still would hope on the next round and that's how you will literally lose the profit you made initially.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing . The reason why we keep trying to win more is, as you mentioned, the hope of winning back everything we have lost over the years. I know it never happens but when we are winning, the adrenaline rush is high and we feel like today is the day, lol. One thing I personally do is always cash back some money when winning, so even if I keep gambling I don't end up with nothing in the end. Just cash back the deposit at the very least when you are winning good.

Gamblers who keep repeating the mistakes of greed and chasing losses are left to experience and the time factor, to learn their lessons and either develop new ways to help themselves or quit. It's what every disciplined gambler today experienced at a certain time in their life and when they discovered how hard it is to quit, they adapted and brazzed themselves with proper risk management practices that includes emotional control, bankroll management. In every faucet of gambling and casino games, the importance of risk management skills help the more prone gamblers become more aware of their actions and urges and these are those who get more successful at gambling, than the rest who do so heavily without considering the impact it has on their lives and finances.
