It is very rare to see someone quit when he is winning. What excuse does he have to quit when the motivation is already there? It's a glitch wired into everyone system and it takes discipline and self awareness for the gambler to actually notice and stop this, it's very hard for the gambler because they feel they can win more and more even when they start noticing that things are heading south, that overall feeling to get back to the previous winning position keeps playing in their head and it only gets worse until they discovered they have lots it all.
