I see three surprises in this list. Definitely draws of Spain against Cape Verde and Belgium against Egypt. The third surprise for me is the Ivory Coast's win against Ecuador. Before the match, I was convinced that Ecuador should win this match, or at least draw. Only Sweden won, as I predicted. Although I expected it to be vicory, but not with so big difference of goals. They've built a nice lead in the group if it comes down to goals.
If Saudi Arabia surprises Uruguay and wins or even draws, I will consider this the craziest day so far in this World Cup.

Before disappointed results from Belgium and Spain, most of big national teams won especially in matches against small and weak opponents. Uruguay got a draw with Saudi Arabia but it's not such a big surprise with two draws from Belgium and Spain.

France are very strong but playing with national teams from Africa is always risky as such teams have many physical strong players so in a race and physical fight, anything can happen.
