I would absolutely not want to work in a campaign in which the owner fell in love with online casinos or betting. Because that's exactly what powerful people like to try their luck at. Poor people and the middle class always remember who they are and how important it is to control their money and emotions. But if someone is the director or owner of a campaign, then such a person can lose control of himself more easily and become a victim of uncontrolled gambling.
Well, this doesn't really apply to every director or owner of a campaign, some are able to control themselves and maintain certain limits so that they don't end up ruining their business. There are lots of people that make careless decisions but when it comes to their business they don't joke with it.

There is a boundary between personal life and work.

I'll choose to continue working for that company if they pay me good and I don't mind if the owner gambles. We might become friends with that if I happen to know him he also gambles.

We'll share for sure a lot of analysis and thoughts for the sports that we might have the same interest.

Don't cut the fun, the burden isn't in us. If they're paying us regularly, why that would affect our decision to continue working for their company if there's a good working ethic overall inside the company?

You think those gamblers who later became addicted to gamble was going for profit? Of course they first started with having fun with it but at some point they started shifting from fun to profit and I'm sure they have no idea about how it happens, so for that reason I'm going to advice anyone who is a manager in a company not to gamble because you really can't tell what will happen, gambling requires enough discipline and not everyone that can maintain that discipline without dropping it  along the line.
That's right, addiction didn't just started in a twinkle of an eye, it is something that was mostly left unattended. The truth is that, the more you start ignoring the signs of gambling addiction, the easier it becomes for them to get dragged in at any time. so the best thing is to make every spotted loopholess and make sure that you address it.

If it’s not affecting the business then I don’t think I’ll be too worried about my employer being involved with gambling. If there’s a noticeable difference in character of the employer maybe I’d be concerned and probably approach them with caution since they could view my approach as a breach of privacy or my crossing the line. If this was for an employee, I still wouldn’t act immediately unless there’s a noticeable change. As long as they are able to separate their work from their personal life then I wouldn’t be worried.

This all balls down to taking risk and how you’re able to manage the risk taken if things don’t go as wanted. In gambling, everyone is just trying to see if they can predict well and earn some extra money. The employer may as well be looking for ways to increase the services of the restaurant even though this was not the best method to have being employed to use by him. As long as his involvement in betting does not affect the daily processes of the company and you always get your pay check when due, I don’t think that this is a big problem your friend should bother about.

Now he is asking me, is it a big concern if your employer starts to frequent casinos? Or he is just speculating that it will harm the company eventually.
If the owner is irresponsible gambler, who doesnt know to separate funds from personal and business that will probably end in very bad way. If the gambling activity stays moderate i guess that will be fine but who knows. But i think such business is handled and managed by different people  and decisions and finance related stuff is managed differently so the business wil be safe.

Also, we are talking about a business which has been around a lot of time and the administration has managed to keep such business afloat, it would be very weird if that same management causes the business to go down in its numbers and prompted it to close down because of gambling problems of one of the owners.

I lean towards the possibility of OP being overreacting to the fact the owner of the business seems to be a gambler, if the administration of the business knows how to separate business money from money which belongs to each one of the owners from the fruit of their work, then everything should be already and employees will manage to keep their job positions in the long term.

Yes, that makes sense, but as business owners, they usually have more power to control everything, meaning that even if, for example, the business finances are managed by different people, it doesn't mean that the business owner can't reach the money, as we know that when a gambler, especially one who is addicted, is blinded by emotions, they will not hesitate to use any funds as long as they can still play with the aim of revenge, so this is indeed a quite worrying situation because there is a possibility that the business will go bankrupt and harm many people, especially employees.
