Trump is suing the executive arm of the government that he leads. For me its like suing yourself and asking for a settlement. It would have made sense if he were not the president. Trump once said that he might consider donating the money he might get from the settlement to good charities. Florida District Judge Kathleen M. Williams has questioned the constitutionality of this lawsuit. I am not surprised because with Trump, everything is possible.

Donald Trump gets away with a lot of things. The Epstein files is one. Now this is another. Who suffers more from this? No other person but the average American citizens and American tax payers.

Yes!   But the Supreme Court recently ruled an active president cannot be held accountable for his actions.   But Trump has grifted so much that there will be non-legal repercussions.

The supreme court actually ruled a sitting president cannot be held into account for his actions, when those actions are related to his job of keeping the country safe and thriving. I am not sure if that also include whenever businesses Trump has and whatever things he is doing to grift with his family.

In a normal country, Trump would be already behind bars for the things he and the republican party did in order to overturn the 2020 election.

As it stands today, if the president does something immoral and he says he did it for the sake of the well being of Americans, then he cannot be held accountable.

That's Trump's end game I think.  He will use the legal system with his stolen wealth to delay until he dies.   American justice will see him under house arrest at Mar-a-Lago being IV fed milkshakes and puréed cheeseburgers.   I think he misjudges how pissed off people are going to be when they can't afford to take the bus to a food bank to pick up spoiled vegetables.
