If privacy is truly important for you, how much does exchange (crypto-to-crypto) fee actually matter?

Well, if privacy isn't the concern, people would use centralized exchanges to swap funds, where they'd pay the lowest fees for such swaps.

The people who visit the instant exchanges for swapping coins have a primary reason that is privacy, and they already know that they would be paying a higher fee for that. For a person for whom privacy doesn't matter, he will usually be depositing coins at centralized exchanges for swapping the coins.

Privacy for me but I realize that sooner or later, we don't have much privacy and difficult hiding ourselves from the government. But I will considering the factors such as speed, clean UX, reputation and others choosing the crypto exchanges.

I traded on some exchanges, both in local or global and don't have a problem so far. The 0.5% and 1.5% is not a big deal for me and considering that is a normal. But if the percentage more than 3%-5%, I will not choose it and moving to others.

There are many instant exchanges that pretend to be no-kyc services, but they end up confiscating their customers funds and asking them for kyc, all in the name of the transaction being 'suspicious'.

So on that note, i prefer instant exchanges that would never request kyc from their customers, and even if they believe the tx to be 'suspicious', they would refund the customer, rather than confiscate their funds. And if such a service offers low fees, then that is great. CCE.cash offers both.

Privacy will be the top priority if there are two options. When it comes to the difference in fees charged, those who prioritize privacy aren’t too concerned about the percentage of fees they have to pay for a transaction.
When a country requires all exchanges to go through KYC to be able to use the exchange—meaning there’s no loophole to avoid it—I think other factors come into play, and the percentage amount is also a consideration.

Appreciate your opinion

If privacy is truly important for you, how much does exchange (crypto-to-crypto) fee actually matter?

Would a difference between 0.5% and 1.5% affect your choice of a privacy-focused instant exchange?
It depends on the situation; for trading, I have been using centralised exchanges. This means my privacy is already broken there; withdrawing funds from that exchange to the personal address means it's traceable through the exchange. Probably even they could transfer data to the legal authority if necessary.

But when I need privacy, then the fees don't matter. Sometimes I really don't want to mix my funds, like trading funds and personal holdings. So when I intend to hold something or care about privacy, then I use instant exchange. It doesn't matter the fees, but it needs to be highly reputed and have no KYC as well. Unless it's trusted, I don't use it, actually.

Interesting point. Seems like trust and consistency matter more than raw fees for many users.

if i have the option between 2 NO KYC exchanges with good reputation, i'm going with the one charging the lower fees.

overall, what matters for me is in this order:

1. reputation
2. no KYC/AML
3. fees
4. speed
5. clean UX

Appreciate the honest answer

Agreed.

But that’s exactly why services resistant to freezes, unnecessary restrictions and forced surveillance need to exist — to preserve the original essence of cryptocurrency.

Together.

For the four posts you’ve made here, you should be able to combine them into a single post for all four of the posts you want to reference. First, doing so will make your post more organized. Second, it won’t feel forced, since there’s only a very short time gap between one post and the next.
Also, if you feel that your questions have been answered and you’ve reached a conclusion, it’s best to lock this thread. Just a suggestion.

I'd pay for the privacy and that shouldn't be that far from the other competitors who offers the same feature.

Would a difference between 0.5% and 1.5% affect your choice of a privacy-focused instant exchange?
This varies on the amount but that 1% difference could mean a lot for the others but to me, that's acceptable.

Or are factors like:
— no KYC/AML
— speed
— clean UX
— reputation
more important than the fee itself?

Curious to hear real opinions from people who actually use these services regularly.
What if all of it is balance? We as users, we all like to have all of those factors in balance.

But more than the fee itself I think what's more concerning and more important is about the no kyc. Reputation comes when the exchange/instant swap has already been proven.
