To be fair, teams that are going barely are not teams that are looking to win any games, you think Tahiti actually cares? Or Algeria? Cabo Verde? I mean are you kidding me, last one I have never heard of before to be fair. So yeah, believe me when I say this, the point is not to try to win any games, hell in fact you could lose every single game and can still be happy.

Because these nations watched other nations in world cup for decades, and never been there, or never won, or some did not even participated often. And now, they have a chance to be there, win or lose, just be there, and that is very good and happy for them. I think it is clear that we are going to see how these could be done and we should be considering how this could be still a good thing for them.

To qualify for the world cup is already an achievement for several smaller football countries like Cape Verde even though they know that realistically, they might not win the tournament but the ability to qualify for the world cup alone is an achievement for the team. And every team in any competitions will definitely want to win, no team will plan to lose they will all put in tier best for get the desired results but right now, most traditional football powers see achievements in a tournament as this by winning the trophy while most emerging football nations see success as qualifying for the competition also the experience alone is something for the team, because even if this smaller football nations do not win, they have the experience and that alone can attract investors and help encourage young players, and experience gained can be valuable for the future generations. And last for these small football nations, being part of the history is an achievement for them especially after they have watched from the sidelines for a long time.

I have the same opinion and not because I don't like Argentina. For over decades, no team has successfully defended the trophy. Brazil was the last team that won it back to back and that was over sixty years ago now. France came close in the last World Cup but Argentina said no way. I don't think if Argentina can even make it far to the final this time around.

It's not because Argentina squad is getting weaker but because every other team is working hard to beat them and luckily, they have a full four years to do the preparation. Of course, Argentina still remains one of the favourite team to win this tournament but it does not look profitable to bet on them.

As for my own prediction, until after the first game of all participating teams.

I became a big fan of Luka Modric in 2018 World Cup. I never knew him to be that good in Real Madrid irrespective of the UCL trophy he won with the club as well as the domestic trophies. Modric is a great player but he wont be the center of attention in this World Cup. Messi and Ronaldo remain the center of attraction. And there are other young players who have the talent that many people will be watching this World Cup.

Well I have not really known the football performance of Haiti but I have watched New Zealand matches before and they were not bad and I was surprised for them to concede such number of goals with encountered goal and they go home with zero goal and I strongly believe that this will not happen in the main tournament. Yes as you said, their group is good but they should know Belgium well because that is a very strong team in the group.

Luca Modric is a player with extensive experience, His time at Real Madrid has helped him develop his full potential, and his team mates have been very supportive of his development. He has played in many important matches at club level. This experience has certainly made him a legend in Croatian football. He is one of the football legends still playing in this World Cup 2026. His presence will undoubtedly increase the enthusiasm and passion of fans worldwide. Im sure if he doesnt play it will have an impact on decreasing ticket sales and the interest of fans around the world to watch the matches played by Croatia.

we saw a zero-zero score from both sides, although the players of both teams could have scored goals but could not do it with struggle and better performance. The condition of both of them was similar, so neither of them could score a goal. Dr.kongo was in second place in their group but still could not win this game. If they had won, their position would have also changed. Haiti players started scoring goals in the 12th minute and scored goals quickly with a lot of hard work and struggle and New Zealand could not even stop them. Haiti players are so clever that they even scored goals themselves and did not let the New Zealand players score, which made them stronger.

That doesn't come as a surprise, I think there was never the idea in his head that he could be playing the World Cup 2030, but apart from this I agree with you. Modric is a legend and he deserves this last big event to say goodbye.

Now question to everyone here, is it safe that he will retire or is it possible that there will be a last minute extension with Milan? I followed it on the sidelines and while I read this post, I wasn't sure whether he released a statement or not. As I see it, I think it is still possible that he continues? If he plays a great World Cup, it could change his own mind too.

Germany shouldn't be in the conversation, is like saying Netherlands are going to win the WC, I'm saying this because countries are almost the same, Germany would go far but winning the World Cup is not possible. We have countries that are still making the whole game look difficult for the others and if you place Germany and Spain or Germany and France I bet you that Germany would struggle, they won't play like they played when they won Brazil 7-1, that squad was the best and as they are now they don't have anything close to what they had back then in 2014, Germany are good but when it becomes heated up they can't stand it, we have Spain France and the other countries that when the game begins the whole atmosphere will change and you'd see Germany slowing down in performance.

This comment makes me wonder what is up with all the African teams, not a single one of them came to notice for something in the World Cup. Like, are they all there for just participation alone and that’s it… no I wouldn’t want to see that in this would cup. Nigeria isn’t there to have my support but, I would like to see how Senegal performs in this, after the Afcon and the stunt from Algeria, most Africans would like to see Senegal thrive and they can, get to the quarterfinals at least. The trophy though would be between Germany, Spain Brazil and Portugal.

But this time, they come with quite high motivation. They don't want to repeat what they did at the 2014 World Cup. They came to face the big event with the same goal as this year. But they have to admit their performance. In 2014, they were the favorite team, but they were eliminated early in the World Cup. This time, they're coming with a new strategy and are ready to play every match to avoid a quick finish in this World Cup. I just make a research on the issue and the way things are going he will miss the main tournament once the final squads approval has been done by FIFA. They should have an outstanding player to replace him because the way the injury is, even if he recovers from the current injury, he will not play to the satisfaction of fans so if I were the coach, it is better to remove him from the squad and put a befitting played there. Neymar will not strong enough to play in this world cup.

When ever i see headlines and articles about Neymar, his talents and football deliverables does not longer fascinate me and I’m sure many others too. What always comes as a concern to me and many others too is the problem of reliability. Over the last few years now injury has become such a reoccurring event in the life this player and sometimes selecting him to play as part of your squad feels like a gamble to many. I will just be honest here, if Brazil is truly committed about building a strong squad to win this year’s World Cup competition, then they have to be brutally practical. A player which cannot guarantee even an 80% fit and is constantly recovering from one injury to the other should be less valuable to the team than a player who is 100% fit and reliable despite not haveing the same reverence and star power.
