Germany and France are my second and third favourites in this 2026 FIFA World cup  and either one of them will surely win the trophy because of the kind of attackers they have currently, before the starting of the tournament I was deliberating on whether to support Spain because am a Barcelona fan which automatically make me a Spain supporter but at things is going now with the Spain current squad I doubt if they will make it to the knockout state, just imagin Spain loosing point to cape Verde which is one of the underrated teams in the tournament I almost forget to mention the present champions of the world cup with them having the greatest player of all-tim(the GOAT) they are the first team I support but I can't verge for them to win the cup but what am sure of is that they will perform more than Spain in this tournament..

Scotland defeated Haiti 1-0 in the World Cup for the first time in 36 years. Scotland, who last participated in the World Cup in France in 1998, failed to win any matches there. From what I've seen, Haiti is the weakest team I've encountered so far.
They also participated in the World Cup after 52 years.
They also have no wins.
Most likely, they will be eliminated from the tournament without getting any points from this group. Because the other two teams in the group are Morocco and Brazil.
It will not be easy for them to get points from these two teams.
Even scoring a goal would be a great achievement.

I think the name of the referee who officiated the match is Ramon Abatti, a Brazilian. Why I mentioned is name is nothing other than some of us may want to know who the referee is and where he comes from and whatnot as to a reason why he probably didn't blow the whistle when to them the foul was very glaring to the eye but I still tried to check whether there would be a relationship between the referee and the Egyptian team but I could not see any, in fact if someone was to be favoured there, it should have been the Belgium side since it would have been easier for the referee to be linked to the country for many other reasons. But this was a good fight for Egypt as I was also expecting a draw but didn't expect the guys to be this tough meaning they kinda have future in this world cup if they can be more clinical in their subsequent games against New Zealand I believe.

The level is so very high, I think Ronaldo cannot operate in such level, if he does then it won't be for long before his body gives up, the zeal is there but as long the body is unfit, I don't think he can contribute that much for his own country. The work load has been removed from him down to the younger players, the way he shouldered the team back then won't be the same, the energy is no longer there, even if  wants to.

If he can't perform at that level, he needs to adapt and play because football is a different level now, things have to be done that way, there's no other way. If he's not at that level, they should take him out, replace him until he adapts, but I don't think that will happen. Just look at Spain, with all their stars on the field in the second half, Luis de la Fuente went all out and they couldn't beat Cape Verde. I'm not being biased, but that disappointed the Spanish fans.

Though few Africans will support France because of their quality in football but the matter what I will support Senegal to win or draw the match.

Lukaku is such a mythical player, he is not even looking that great most of the time, looks disoriented and yet they still end up with something that looks like it is not that great and not that crazy and should be something that would be not that great and yet anytime he gets in, he scores and he does something amazing.

This is why you need pure strikers on your team, not some great passers, not some playmaker, not someone who can withdraw the defenders and open up space. I mean pure striker, I mean Lukaku, Haaland, Kane, these are the type of players every team should have. These players provide so much for your team, and make your team so much better as well. I think it would be smart to keep him in the games from now on.

I am not sure about Tielemans should have been red card, I can understand a yellow card in that situation, I could understand red card too, it is one of those famous "orange" levels, it is ok at yellow and okay at red so I am not going to claim that was a big mistake.

But I do agree that penalty was definitely 100% penalty without a doubt. Egypt should have won this game with that penalty and it was a robbery in front of the whole world and there is nothing Egypt could do about it, they need to just forget and move on.

Portugal is the heavy favorite against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I’m hoping Portugal wins the match. This might be one of the World Cup matches I don’t think will end in a draw. Portugal should easily advance from this group as the leader. They might struggle against the Congo in the first half, but I think they’ll ultimately secure the victory. They’ve had a good preparation period and won both of their friendly matches 2-1.

Main referee may not have seen the situation very well. VAR should have intervened and reviewed Tielemans' position. I think it was an orange-red card situation, but if the referee had reviewed the footage, he could have given a red card. If Belgium's opponent at that moment had been a team like Germany, England, or France, VAR would definitely have intervened and Tielemans would have received a red card. Sometimes referees' decisions can change depending on the colors of the teams. That's what happened in this situation. I don't think he was completely innocent.

I would have expected Argentina’s odds to be lower against Algeria, but these odds honestly surprised me. I think Algeria has a chance to score, but Argentina also has a chance to keep a clean sheet. Belgium and Egypt both get a point in their World Cup opener. In the first half Ashour scored the only goal for Egypt in the 20th minute 42% ball possession, 4 shots and 0 chances created the same for Belgium with 58% of the possession in the first half they aren't able to create a big chance. In the second half Hany scored an own goal in tbe 66th minute for Belgium and equalized the game. 51% possession to Egypt 2 big chances created,0.90 xG and 10 of total shots. Belgium with 49% possession created 2 big chances , 0.85 xG and a total of 8 shots. Eman Ashour was named as player of the match for Egypt.
