is the blockchain forking? i keep getting rejected transactions...
What is the total node up right now? This project looks comfy with such a long trace back to 2014 so I think maybe I could give it a try. i'm currently connected to 3 peers seems like my wallet thinks I'm trying to double-spend. Anyone know how to fix the wallet to validate the transactions that are only contained in the blockchain at present? I've tried -reindex and -rescan but they don't seem to have helped (not sure if these commands even work for COMM).

It is interesting that even though there is no dev behind COMM, the community is still alive.

I experienced some strange behaviour too, maybe it's time to start looking for someone to "revive" this coin and maintain it, any whales around with big enough pockets to hire someone?

bumbacoin, any luck with getting your wallet synced? any chance of just burning the 70 million that you received from the Cryptsy wallet to reduce supply/centralization? It's not like the coins can be traded anywhere anyway...

fyi, fixed the wallet not responding issue by transferring all coins into brand new wallet (not new address within existing wallet). My previous wallet had 196K transactions and was 85MB in size. New wallet is 72KB with only 1 transaction now and this seems to have fixed the issue so far

Those 70 million could be used to hire a team and relaunch CommunityCoin, it would be an almost poetic use for those coins.

I agree that would be better but COMM is not traded anywhere now so how would you convince a developer team to take COMM as "payment". That's why the next best things to do is burn the coins and reduce the overall supply

It wouldn't be easy, but a big enough CommCoin reward and the prospect of valorization if relaunched might convince someone to take the job. After all 70 million CommCoin at even 50 satoshi would be worth 35 BTC. But I agree, burning would be the fairest thing to do other than returning it to the rightful owners

Its hard, reading old source code take more time then writing new source code. More over no one will interested in fixing the old coins with no salary.

If COMM does have something that is technically advanced, maybe it is worth a try for some devs.
