I thought it was something like that. I noticed stays open for a while, my coins slowly transfer from "balance" to "stake", and I also get some incoming "mined" transactions. It is pretty cool that this coin earns us interest just for holding it. That alone should make it more desirable to own. I think this coin might be worth something!!

Another question, do I have to keep my wallet open/running to get the incoming "mined" transactions? So far, it seems this is the case.

Ok well I left my wallet open & just got a stake so it would seem you would have to leave it open.

i was a little skeptical of this coin at first.
But WOW do i like this. It feels like a good community, a very attentive dev, and my wallet staked perfectly the very first day i had it.
truly a coin for the masses, i really hope that the dev makes the right decision regarding the remaining 500 million, but seeing what he has done so far i have very little doubt that he will in fact choose wisely.

Things are going in the right direction.

Hopefully we'll reach 500 quick and then the community will focus on building some other things for this coin as well.

In the meantime voted on mintpal.

Just starting out in the crypto world.  I only have a few posts.  Will the post requirement be lifted at all?  I would really like to be a part of this community.  Not sure what I can do in a short time to prove myself.   Huh

can't believe I didn't know about this.
Maybe hard to spot through all the IPO crap  Roll Eyes the main attraction  to this coin for me is the fact you're NOT doing the whole IPO thing and seem to have already put a lot of effort in this, imo this can only lead to positive things.
And this alone is already enough for me to want to be a part of this, filling in a form to see if i can board this train!

Aren't the POS rewards related to the coin age? Basically a certain percentage of interest per 24h, so if you haven't unlocked the wallet for a few days you're still accumulating coins except not getting the interest for the coins you could have minted immediately in those days?

For those trying to compile for linux and that have this error :
Code:
src/main.cpp:18:53: fatal error: boost/random/uniform_int_distribution.hpp: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [build/main.o] Error 1

It's because you have libboost1.46-dev or earlier.
So you should uninstall libboost1.46-dev (or libboost1.46-all-dev)
And then install libboost1.48-all-dev (or more recent)

Warning :
You will need to recompile other coin who used the old version of libboost.

It was a long time coming but Community coin beats everyone to the punch and releases a full POS coin! I only learned what a POS coin was a few days ago lol. So how do we help the community at large with community coin? Pledge to a faucet?
