To be honestly, COMM is a high-quality free coin.
Very good idea, I like it, I wish you success.

Thank you,dev.

My account was hacked - this is obviously a scammy post..not sure if COMM is behind this. It's the only post the attacker made on my account after hijacking.

Such attack is meaningless if you don't have any evidence.
You can create any account with name *****_new in 1 minute.
And you can say ***** hack your account in another minute.
You can attack anyone you want.
That's not a good signal.

Since you have to put your comm address in your profile now, it is even pointless
(now obviously, in the old way, it is better to post the address first on the other forum then validate here telling you have applied...)

How its mining (approximately, very estimated and idealistic)

Days | Stakes | Income
Day 0 | 1000000 | +0
Day 1 | 500450 and 500450 | +900
Day 2 | 250450, 250450, 250450 and 250450 | +900
Day 3 | 125337, 125337, 125337, 125337, 125337, 125337, 125337 and 125337 | +900
Day 4 | 62725, ,,,16 times... and 62725 | +900
Day 5 | 31390, ...32 times... and 31390 | +900
Day 6 | 15709, ...64 times... and 15709 | +900
Day 7 | 7861, ...128 times... and 7861 | + 900
and etc.

If you send all your COMM (free stake + earnings) to own new address, you return to day 0 and minting is going again from zero point.
Lower stakes need more time to create block. Higher difficulty makes you join stakes into one big for better PoS mining performance.
It is better to join stakes after Day 1 or Day 2.

Never did any transaction, btw using getinfo shows newmint as 0?

Now difficulty is high (2-4). You need to accumulate proper value of coin-days to increase your block generation probability. Be patience and just wait. May be, another 24h.

Do you have COMM in your wallet?
If so, how many COMMs?

1 mill and wallet is updated to 1.2

"balance" : 1000000.00000000,
"newmint" : 0.00000000,
"stake" : 0.00000000,

That's weird. How long have you had these COMM in your wallet?
Can you show a screenshot of your wallet?

Had these comms for 58 hours now

I dont know if this will make it stake but you can try
Make a conf file and adding the details to your roaming folder (under users/ appdata/ roaming/ communitycoin)
make a notepad

paste this

listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=pass
rpcpassword=user
addnode=95.80.58.15
addnode=87.211.164.253
addnode=188.18.29.203
addnode=5.67.71.132
addnode=85.25.201.132

name it communitycoin.conf
save as, all files

I think it's not the problem of conf file.  It shows the wallet is connected correctly.

Connections look right. And the unlock button is grey. It may be due to he didn't set a password yet.
PoS should work.  It's strange for me.  I have some FAC, but without COMM now. The PoS of FAC works well for me. I'd like to have some COMM also. I will help vote and I can throw my hash power on the COMM multipool when it gets ready.

Looks like your wallet is locked. Try to click on grayed unlock wallet. You'll need to enter password.

I don't think so. If the wallet is locked, the button should be black, not gray.

So, maybe wallet is not encrypted.

I just saw COMM listed here for voting.
http://www.cryptokk.com/?p=votes
The number of votes in this site is very less and we could easily get added.

But before casting our votes,
Are we going to concentrate on one exchange aka mintpal first or we are trying multiple exchanges at the same time?

I'm very interested in this coin. And I followed this thread for several days (from the old locked thread). As I wonder if I can get one stake. I try to learn more about the application as I won't make mistakes.

I know that there is Mintpal vote here
https://www.mintpal.com/voting  Now COMM have 1688 votes.
I'll help vote it as long as I can.

COMM already has an exchange now. But people are not encouraged to use it before distribution finished. And this exchange is not popular and may not be helpful.

The exchanges should be Mintpal and Poloniex.

In client, go help > debug window > console and type listtransactions. Did you get an orphaned blocks?
