Ending your life after a big loss isn't the best solution

I cant get why someone think that ending life is a solution to any kind of troubles. I cant get why someone think that there are such a huge problems, that they are completely unsolvable, if talk is about money. I believe that financial problems always can be settled down. A person dont need to hurry and be realistic; dont try and plan to solve huge problems immediately or in short time. If a person owes money to someone, I believe that moment can always be negotiated and debt be paid by little but during a long period of time.

I don't know why it is hard for so many gamblers to accept the reality that gambling doesn't  double money without taking from them, applying caution each time one wants to gamble should be very necessary to avoid doing something stupid.

To this gambler that shot himself because of gambling loss, who actually loss at the end of the day? He's the one because he has cut his life short to good living and life opportunities to explore other things in life. Irresponsible gambling can result to irresponsible decisions and the extreme of it is taking one's life because of the frustration and pains of losing everything, now the dead knows nothing so it is his loved ones that will suffer the bigger lose of their suicide. Depression can lead people to consider suicide and if they are not strong enough to come out of it by themselves or share the thought with somebody that can talk them out of it they will likely kill themselves. People shouldn't take gambling too seriously or see it as a short cut to riches because it might not happen which can be devastating for those that are using more than the amount that they are comfortable to loose.

Sometimes high expectations is what kills many people, it does start like a fun, using small money to make big thing and because that was working for them, they do think that's where the road is leading. This gives some of them wrong lead and they take big chunk of money from loan, some from friends and family, some from work and they loss all the money later, this shameful act makes some to make quick conclusions to rather die than allow be put to shame.

This is for us that are not addicted to gambling, I think we need to stop the behavior and of judging people when they loss money in gambling. Instead of putting blame and want to ridicule them, it's better to ask them for way to return the money even if it's having an agreement instead of wanting to put them to shame. Some people are not as strong as they look, some migjt be good on the surface but too soft to accept instant harsh situations.

No matter how worst gambling addiction is, it will always be overcome as long as you want to do it willingly. But if you're weak, that would be the biggest threat not to find solutions on your problem. This is the reason why gambling isn't for everyone, its not for the weak and not open-minded, because if they've seen their problem is bigger than the value of their lives, that's where they find it easy to take their own lives just to not prolong their agony in life.

Always gamble with what you can afford to lose, don’t think you can make quick money from gambling, and don’t think when you gamble you will be able to multiple your money. Some people are just always desperate to make money from gambling, and that’s why they do end up doing some crazy things.

Why will you sell two cars and you will decide to gamble with the money, those that even make any sense? Selling of properties of taking of loan just because you want to gamble is what you be totally avoided. When you are gambling, you are not sure if you going to be winning, if you end up taking loan or selling your property just because you want to gamble, how are you going to recover back?

After making a stupid decision by selling car, and he decided to end his life, who is going to take care of his family members now that he is no longer alive, maybe he will be having children also, how are they going to survive, or he thinks his wife can do everything alone. No matter the condition which you are, don’t even think suicide is an option, with time you will figure things out.

It is never been a solution if we have lost so much as we gamble. We don't have to blame the victims who had gone doing it in the end. It's sad to know that lives are taken by these gamblers when they think it's the best solution. And for those gamblers that might go that far, it's better to assess yourselves so that you won't end up into that point doing things such as selling all of your assets just to gamble and recover. It's not an easy thing to avoid the thoughts like that when you've lost everything but, as long as we're living then there's a chance to recover through other means.

He messed up in the first place by gambling recklessly, which was redeemable since he still had a job and could get back on his feet, but took the worst option to end his life. He didn't end his misery, he compounded issues for those he left behind. Every addicted gambler needs a second chance to make things right, too bad the guy in the story blew it up for himself.

What are your thoughts on this?

This takes me back to around 2025/2016 when a young male student in college was so addicted to gambling up to the point where as the story when he staked his footwear on a gambling game, lost and had to walk home barefooted. And story of his was he used his tuition fee on gambling and lost. A clear sign of gambling addiction, eventually, he would end up being found hanging from a rope in this room. He committed suicide. I wasn't told but saw this after his lifeless body was taken away when the news spread. Gambling addiction messes up one's mental health and when help is not close it is disastrous. Seek help if addicted and help someone whom you know is addicted to gambling by speaking with them, sharing useful resources with them and being a friend to them.

Life is very precious and it surpasses the sum of money in a bet that has gone bad. Life is never to be ended and there will always be the chance of making things better to those who gave up prematurely. Human beings can only take so much psychological wounds until their mind breaks. Would you call a soldier with PTSD who takes his own life a coward? No. In fact, the amount of courage it takes to do something like that is immense. And that only goes to show how extreme the pain is, with which the person is living with.

Animals also kill themselves if they are stressed enough, did you know that? It is not something which is only done by human beings. Psychological/emotional pain is being underestimated and laughed down upon in our society. Maybe if we put more attention towards the etiology of this problem, we would see lower suicide rates...

Well I can't sit over here and assume I know exactly what was going through the victim's head, I can only speak from my own perspective, I don't know about others, but for me, I don't think, in fact I'm sure that no sort of emotional or psychological pressure can push me into taking my own life, I'm not saying I can't break down, sure I can, but taking my life can never be on the menu becauseI know it's never solving anything, and that's just me, but like I said, I don't know about others.

There are some decisions that you will take and those decisions are going to end up being the cause of your regretting everything that you have done, already you should know that gambling is not a guaranteed outcome that you are going to make a profit so why will you use money that you are not able to forget if you lose it. It is only somebody that uses a large amount of money that they can afford to lose that will only think about killing themselves after they lose it because they either had borrowed the money or the money wasn't theirs.

But if you are the type of gambler that understands that gambling is a game of luck and you only make use of your spare money to gamble then you have no reason killing yourself if you lose the money. You have to understand that gambling can give you a big profit today but when you try it again you end up losing both your capital and the profit that you made If you are not wise to keep some part of the profit for some other games. You have to be very strategic when gambling to avoid becoming a victim of the game because the game does not care about anyone.

The sad truth about what happened to the deceased gambler is that none of his family members will view gambling favorably, and he is one of the few individuals who can make some people view gambling negatively. It is always a problem of every gambler who become full of debt, aside from being irresponsible, they become less interested in living and one if there only choice is to escape by death. Without knowing that those who losses you are the one who will suffer the most. This is why discipline and restraint can never be overemphasized. For anyone dealing in the gambling industry, it's important to be disciplined enough to know when it's time to take a break. Yes, suicide is not a solution to problems, including financial ones. All the problems fall on the shoulders of his family and relatives. In any case, if he had stayed alive, he would have had the opportunity to earn money by his own labor, but at the same time it would have been necessary to stay away from gambling.
