I personally don’t see anything wrong with believing in your own prediction or strategy, but can also become detrimental to the gambler the moment this begins to turn into overconfidence, because the gambler begins to feel some level of control, assurance and entitlement when they gamble. Actually, this overconfidence or perhaps even narcissism, in some cases, is what leads to the worst decisions and biggest losses in life, not just monetary but other losses as well. People say fear is bad but over the years, I've realized that fear is good because it stops you from making stupid decisions.

I'll start by saying nothing is certain in gambling even a big team or favorite team in their best form can still lose to an underdog by performing poorly on that match. So that would mean our confidence level should drop to 50% irrespective of the kind of teams playing. But as humans we likely wouldn't treat every game desame way probably because of the stat and desperation of the teams playing, irrespective of how informed any team is, your confidence level shouldn't exceed 60% because the greatest factor of luck still stands.

Luck is just the end result of it all, as long as you keep being lucky and the luck finds you, then you’ll be seen as one of the best gambler having the best strategy where in reality you were just being lucky during that period and could all come to an end all of a sudden. The only thing required for you as a gambler is to just make sure you never run out of money to gamble, you’ll stand a more likelihood of getting lucky and getting an edge. Confidence is essential for balance, because if left unchecked, we could suddenly run into trouble and lose our entire bankroll. Professionals are confident because they understand they have a strategy that will allow them to profit slightly and make money from it, but if a player isn't a professional but has a lot of confidence, I don't think that's a good thing. It is true that confidence in gambling can never bring positive results to win in gambling you need not only a positive attitude you need the right research strategy and most importantly luck if luck is not with you then your research strategy and positive attitude will not work properly. Yes, gambling is highly risky and nothing is certain about it, to some of us before we place bet on games, we make proper research, and ensure we place I formed bet, but eventually the game or bet will end up disappointing.
The big teams don't win their games all the time, sometimes they fail to win some of their matches to even teams that are even weaker, but that is the nature of gambling, and it does not always go the way we think. During a match between big team and a weaker team, many things we don't put in consideration as gamblers happen, there could injury, there could be red card and many more events that can make a big team loose to a weaker team, and your level of confidence will surely be weakened once it happens this way.

I find this convincing, normally we select an bet on a game because we had confident about the outcome of that game, if there was no slight confidence or hope of a game bringing positive result, then it will be difficult for the person to bet on such game,  although one might just follow their intuition in some situations where they strongly doubt the game's outcomes but because they are convinced in their spirit to bet on the game, they will do so and sometimes they end up winning or losing the game. There are levels to the confidence of a thing; we need to trust a game to a certain extent before we can risk our money on it. I don't see them as being stupid people. I see as being stupid those who feel like they could be able to beat the odds if their awareness still reminds them that it's not in their power to determine the outcome, then I don't consider them stupid.

Confident don't exist in a gamble of luck I don't know why we are still talking about confident here, the question is how many times did you have confident in your bet and it works out for you? Before talking about confident this are the things we need to consider. Although sometimes we can say that we would surely win this bet and sometimes it works while sometimes it fails but for the fact that it works for us doesn't mean it is due to the confident we had towards the game that make us win rather it's just the work of luck but some gamblers mistake this to confident.

The harsh reality is that even though you have a set budget and you are managing it well and gambling within control, you get tilted at some point. I have faced this when I was gambling small amounts regularly but never winning, the tilt sat in and I went big one odd night. Thankfully, it didn't go horribly and I managed to stop. But what I'm trying to say is that even though you are in control, at some point you start losing patience.
