Of course there are people who made it through gambling over here, and I'm sure they never thought nor imagine that they could make it through gambling because if they had go with such intention definitely they wouldn't have make it, because there are many who have been waiting for the day that they will finally make it through gambling but it is as if that day will never come because the more they keep expecting this that's the more they keep having hard luck in wining.

If you consider lotteries as gambling, then I know people who won enough to buy a house thanks to lotteries. In fact, many people won the first prize of the Christmas lottery in my neighborhood several years ago, and one of them from the same building I used to live. Unfortunately for me, I didn't usually play back then.

Yes there are lots of testimonies on the internet.. it’s also known that some blew everything within a short period of time and eventually became poor again .

There’s another thing to note.. Considering the stats comparing the estimate total number gamblers to those that made it through gambling , the difference is wide and there are lots with the same hope. .

Anyone can become rich through gambling, but Casinos &most gambling companies/sources weren’t designed to make everyone rich, it’s random and it may never be you even if you continue gambling forever .

The best you can do is not taking it as a means to get rich. Gamble responsibly..

I've seen a few people who played lottery and actually changed their lives. Though their stories are usually very broad because it wasn't a first trial to win, they had played multiple times in the past and lost a lot before they got lucky.. i also did have a friend who was very good at gambling, most especially sport betting. I used to then take some of his calls and will win. The guy had the skill of a gambler but no one would believe that was where his money was coming from.. sometimes sits difficult to get these people to share their stories. Some might be made up, especially those posted by brands or casino. It's more like promotions and I don't bother to confirm them if it's true or not. Gambling wins is not as common as the losses mainly when it has to do with huge wins it is very rare.

Gambling huge wins are not announced for safety purposes, therefore the gambler invest quietly without the notice of anyone, I know a gambler that had a huge win and what he did first was to invest his money first in other to be free from financial stress while he continues gambling activities and he also got a house for himself to conquer shelter.

I have not seen people get rich through gambling, but I have seen people get ruined through gambling. I have seen many people who were once very famous and had a lot of money become completely destitute through gambling. Those who used to live a beautiful life and wear expensive clothes have now completely destroyed themselves through gambling, not only themselves but also their entire families. So I can say that gambling never guarantees a person to become rich, but gambling guarantees a person to become destitute.

Personally I only know people that won huge amounts of money from gambling but they didn't really make it through exactly because most of them i saw went back to being broke. The reason why I don't think gambling can make anyone financially is that no matter how much you make from the game if there's no constant income flow you are definitely going to be back to where you used to be financially. Only a few people are able to use that amount they won as an investment, most gamblers think that they would always be able to win so they spend carelessly.

nobody that I know physically that has made it through gambling not even a few of my friends who have turned gambling as their day to day activity yet they could not make a fortune from gambling and everyday we meet they are always hoping to make money from it one way or the other. One thing I like with them is how rock solid they are when it comes to the ambition they have to become millionaires or billionaires via gambling but till date it has not come to pass

I know people who made money from sports betting and just being an ex star of that sport themselves so knowing the likely strength of the teams to some extent.   They made a living but not exclusively their income as they did not consider the income regular enough plus its easy to get carried away if betting is all you do.   I think most would choose to do streaming or sponsorship of some kind in a safer kind of income then just pure betting.

As long as Ihave been a gambler I've only heard of someone getting a big win but never heard and seen someone become successful because of the gambling they did because the big win they got in the end just became nothing left because of the gambling itself.

I have a neighbor whose life is quite good his career is also good in the business he does and I know he got a pretty big win from the gambling he did because he managed to get the lottery after a few months his life was destroyed, his business was also destroyed because of the debts he had to many people because of the effects of gambling done just because he felt a big win before he became uncontrollable and continued to gamble on slots and lotteries which made his life turnaround quickly.  So from this I can see that no one can really be said to be successful from gambling, big wins can happen but that cannot be a measure of success because in the end if our self-control is poor then the big winnings we have will run out.

I know a few gamblers that has made millions, but that isn't a huge amount that can stay with them for long, as far they redirect the funds into gambling, they lose back parts of it, and the rest sorts personal problems, it's never enough to sustain them for life.

Yes, I know some couples of them that was once in my hood (environment) but some how God came through for them and today they are now living the best of their life. However, Gambling success is something that is very rare to see especially now that the system is becoming more difficult to win this days. And also, their is one thing I notice about this gamble success story is that immediately you start chasing it, as in being too desperate about it that is when you hardly see it coming, rather what you we keep on experiencing is constant lost. Therefore letting it come on it own is just the best because when the time is right you don't need to put in much effort everything will just be falling in place on it own.

Personally, I have not seen anyone but that does not mean that they don't exist outside there. Some people have won amounts which contributed to changing their lives, but they don't bring it up to the social media space. I have also read stories a few times for those who have also shared their life journey through gambling not just the addiction part, it's hard to see people making it through gambling, but few people are actually lucky enough to have that experience.

No. Not that I know of, personally. But there are famous figures, such as the sports bettor Josemmabet or the poker player Adrian Mateos in Spain, who have managed to make a living from it.

Not that either. Usually, the people who succeed in that field do so because they come from well-off families.

Quite the opposite. What usually happens is that their situation gets worse because of their gambling.

Yes, I know someone who achieved a great win in gambling and his life changed from a poor or middle-class man to a rich man by the standards of our local community with one stroke of luck.

My brother-in-law won a billion local currency in the national lottery, which is equivalent to about 100,000 dollars. This amount is very large in my country and makes a person rich. My brother-in-law was poor and had a lot of debt, but he was surprised by chance to win the local lottery, and it was an amazing surprise that changed his life.

Well, it seems most of the winners does not want to get announce that they win huge because imagine before they make that huge number of wins, they give tons of time and money with their games and wagered so imagine if that wins are just a small portion of their wins.

Base on my experience right now never been seen few of my well-known person hit a huge number of wins most likely it's just get back their previous losses in their previous games so they dont much celebrate at all. Many people seen a different perspective in gambling they see this as an instant money if they win but at the back of their mind is they spent more than they win = they get entertained.

I know a person who made a lot of money on sports betting... he even quit his job a few years ago. But I can't say he made it in life, or that he became a successful person. In his late 50s, without a wife & kids, living alone... when you see him on the street, you would say that he is poor.

It's possible, but we are talking about less than 1%... and I guess there are people who won big and then lost everything, sometimes & for some people it's hard to stop.

You're adding an extra requirement here, which messes a bit the possibilities. So:
- ex classmate, turned from financial whatever at a bank to a poker player, made some $700k back when, well, 700k was one two lifetimes of wages don't know if it counts as gambling
- college friend, made some 200k out of betting to date from NBA, but he was from a wealthy family, like really wealthy, 200k was still peanuts to them
- a former business partner of my family who is in the horse racing thing, he wins enough for a decent living but he's not rich because of that
