I think at some point I did probably have users in the list, but decided to remove them. This would be years ago if that's the case though.

Same here. It's good that none of the posts bother us. There is always the report button, isn't it?

It seems it is not entirely solved. I copied and pasted the list of 2781 members in to the ignore list that you compiled, after I added them the page reloaded with the box completely empty. Basically, my ignore list was deleted. I then added the original 243 members again from a back up and left the page as it was. Maybe it will work if I add the names in small batches.

I only ever blocked one person, back when I first started out on the forum. They were incredibly rude and mean about a thread I posted. Honestly, a completely uncalled-for person who obviously has major issues getting along with people. After a while, I took them off my block list. I just don't give a damn anymore, life goes on. I feel like if I had a massive ignore list, I'd end up getting curious to see what they're saying anyway.

I don't like to ignore people, but I have them anyway. Basically, these are the spammers whose reports were not accepted by the moderators, and I don't want to dwell on them anymore but simply ignore them. But there are also some very active posters that previously opened up a lot of topics in the economics section that also somehow were not deleted by the moderators. I remember this picture when I went to the economics section; an almost blank page opened in front of me since it was all occupied with topics from users I ignored, and as you know, their posts are not displayed when ignored and look like an empty space.

I have never ignored anyone, probably because I don’t like to ignore anyone, when I see any post that doesn’t make any sense to me or probably off topic, all I do is scroll through to the next post which I’m more interested in reading and understanding, sometimes I come across post that would mess up my brain by just reading them because of lack of constructive words, I scroll pass them,

Oh, I remember ignoring someone mistakenly, when I noticed I ignored the account mistakenly I had to remove the ignore on the account immediately I saw that, I just read through and focus on things I’m more interested in the forum…

Mine is really large. I've never bothered to count it, but it's large enough that it makes the forum stutter while loading it.

It's the same for me, i don't have anyone on my ignore list either. I also come across posts that make my head hurt sometimes, and the quality of the content can be really bad. But for example, if someone was constantly posting nonsense and showing up very often in the sections where i usually post, then they'd probably end up on my ignore list. So far that hasn't happened to me, and hopefully it stays that way

as the profile page ignore list for people with large ignore lists works again since some months ago im wondering how big some folks lists are compared to mine.

If forum users used to compare size of dicks merits (and less so activity) before, now it's time to compare the ignore list?

forum wont show the count just copy/paste the list into your favorite editor/spreadsheet to find out the line count.

Speaking from my own end I hardly put people on ignore list because I know that forum is a free place to read both good and bad post, to come across good people and bad people as well. This positioned us to have a diverse knowledge and experience to know how to tackle people that are like that in real life became I know almost everything that happens here o. Forum usually happened in the  real life that is why we should be that careful with what would do on forum or out of this community. Of course I know that the forum preached mode of privacy than anything else where people would fell they aren't affected in any means. I obeys people choice on this forum and to whatever that concerns to them without interfering in it so any user may decide to ignore those that are on their neck or that doesn't allow you to breath well.

I am actually very surprised to see that I have 94 Members on my list.  I almost replied '1' but I thought I should double check.

Anyway.  On my list there are 93 people who have either been banned years ago or have not posted in years as I can not remember the last time I even saw one hidden reply written by a Member I ignored in the past.

I rarely ever ignore anyone.  The one person I do know of, I put on my ignore list about a day or two ago but I will most probably Unignore them soon.  I do not like having hidden replies.  I am not THAT bothered by some people, in fact the most idiotic ones, I actually find them entertaining most of the time.

So technically, zero.  Or one, if they annoyed me enough for the day, but I rather use that as a Timeout button instead of an actual Ignore.

Wow, I've got none!

Although I've encountered quite a few jackasses on the forum and people I generally don't like, I haven't put any on my ignore list. On the one hand I'm thinking, does it matter? They can still see my posts, I still have the option to see theirs as well, if it was possible to put them on ignore and never see them again, then I could think of a few people. Nonetheless, I don't bother too much and don't pay much attention to those who deserve to be ignored.

I have currently 67 users on my ignore list and I'm somewhat lenient with it.

My personal reasons to put users on it are if they repeatedly annoy me, post mostly nonsense or really low-value crap or have excessively the habit to post pyramid full-quotes without any sense, particularly when their annoying quotes exceed their own content massively. Trolls also can get on my list quickly.

Now I am not just wondering about your ignore list, but I'm wondering if you tend to review it from time to time, maybe taking out some people from it, probably those who become better with their posting and make more sense or become less annoying or no longer guilty for any reason that can take their names there.

Occasionally I unfold and peek into ignored users briefly or someone else quotes them, so that I can see what they posted. In most cases I don't see content that would justify to remove them from my ignore list.

I remember vaguely very few cases where I've removed users from ignore, either temporarily or even permanently. But even when my ignore list is still rather short, I'm not going to waste time to re-evaluate all the entries on some regular basis.

I don't rush, aka I'm a bit lenient, to put someone on ignore. At least on my ignore list the majority of spots are "earned".
