How do people enjoy MMA?

Naturally, I don't like combat sports. Boxing is the only combat sport I try to enjoy because it's more regulated, and it's just fists. But whenever I watch videos of MMA fights, I always ask myself how something like that is legal. It is just too bloody to be legal.

Actually, I don't have a specific answer here, we just have to say that everyone has their different choices, some like general sports and some like this type of fighting sports. And MMA is legally included in fighting sports.
And what you mentioned is street fight, it has a lot of difference with it because here every player from the referee agrees to the specific rules and then starts this game, where there are no rules in the case of street fight.

I myself don't like these types of fighting games and I don't know how to workout with these types of fighting games or have not tried to find out until now.

We just have to be more careful, some of these sports are entertaining but at the same time not good for safety because of the risk in playing search, if a country can even decided to ban gambling because of cock fighting sports events and something related, how much more when human beings are directly involved and bear the pain all in the name of entertainment, if you watch boxing and see the way the boxers are beaten, you will just conclude to support that boxing should be banned.

I used to love and enjoy watching wresting but at some point, I stopped liking it after I learnt that 99 percent of the matches are fixed  and it's the reason why wresting matches are not available on casinos for gamblers to bet.
When I came across MMA and thought maybe I could replace this for wresting but after watching a fight for the first time, I didn't like it for this very same reason, this seems more brutal than even wresting, so I never bothered watching any MMA fights anymore.

But still, there are people who love this fight to the core and I dont know how they manage to cope, because just as you said, MMA  fight doesn't feel like it's a sports at all, the first time I watched it, I didn't see two people competing to win, what I saw was two people who seemed to hate each fighting to kill one another while people around were cheering and merrying, it's really absurd to be honest but unfortunately, it's what some like love.

I confess I've asked myself this question many times. Every time I watch UFC videos, I can't help but wonder: how do the people watching feel? In boxing, you rarely see a fighter on the ground, covered in blood and unconscious. But in MMA, this is "normal," and it seems that people who watch MMA are much happier when they see a fight with a lot of blood being spilled.

Boxing is just one aspect of the striking. There are other disciplines of striking and when you combine all the striking and ground game you call it MMA. Since you mentioned you watch boxing, it is strange that you have not watched anyone getting knocked out cold.

People who like the sporting aspect are happier when they see a high quality technical fight rather than seeing blood.

And something I wonder about is: is it possible that those people who watch MMA and like to see a lot of blood aren't violent at home?

I think you worries too much OP and i don't know why I feel you have better answer to yourself in this question but maybe because you have phobia for the kind of the fighting patterns in the MMA made you don't even find the exercise to be sports. Of course I expect you should accept it to be the same as boxing including wrestling.

Well... I will give you benefit of doubt but the truth is that they are all the same sports activities rather their rules differs that is why that of MMA is more bloody than the boxing and the boxing is more bloody than wrestling and so also their mode of entertainments varies.

People are wired differently that is why some people enjoy things that scare others. I have friends that say they like watching vampire movies at night, something I will be uncomfortable watching even in day time.

I will understand for that case, and I won't blame them. This is the most caraziest part of it all. I dont know how MMA fighters feel punching a fellow fighter who has already passed out. To them, the fighter is not completely out, or the fighter is faking it. To me, I do feel they are dead, because obviously, they can't breathe when I look at them through the TV. MMA is a sport for people who like violence. I do not like violence, so I am not a fan of MMA. If you have heard of muay thai, that's almost the same as the MMA sport. It's a martial arts and it's not only about physical strength.

But mentality is also used in it during the fights. Anyway, we have preferences that we like and don't just as yours.

What you should know is that the sport you don't enjoy watching is the sport another person enjoys watching the most. the MMA fights are something i don't liking watching, frankly speaking i can't even remember the last time i watched an MMA fight.

If you don't like a certain sport, you will see the bad thing about that sport, but we who like watching MMA see the discipline of the athletes and the art form of what they practice, it's combat sports, not killing, there is art in combat, and both fighters are protected by the doctor on the ring side, by the referee and of course their seconds.

Well, not everyone can enjoy every type of match. For some, combat sports aren't suitable for them, because they are "over thrilling", but for others, that is where the entertainment lies. Personally, I like mixed-martial arts, and I see every move as a performance art. Furthermore, the different techniques used by MMA fighters are captivating, and each move has meaning in order to defeat an opponent. So, I prefer MMA fights that have a variety of movements, and not just the almost identical moves like in boxing.

Maybe, some of the things I said are what made MMA as popular as it is today.

By the way, I didn't expect the Iron Man Rodtang to lose by TKO to Takeru at the end of last month match. He played differently than usual, and lacked his usual spirit. He shouldn't have been defeated as easily as he did, but he looked completely different, and lost a lot of energy.

Boxing is still popular with me, and MMA has become a popular sport because it combines skills from all combat sports, which is why it is called mixed martial arts. If you're not used to watching combat sports, you will see the bad sides of it. I haven't heard of someone dying from MMA because they have a lot of professional people watching fighters in the ring to see to it that they are safe from harm, like doctors and referees, they will stop the fight if they see any one of the fighters suffering from injury.

When a sport gets too violent I don't really like watching it, if I'm not even comfortable with power slap sport because of the impact and how dangerous it is then MMA is a off limits for me. At end of the day everyone has their preference and that's not something we can change but personally any sport where people hit each other violently to the point where they start bleeding I'm not really comfortable with that.

I think that it's actually improper that sports should get too extreme to a point where shading of blood is allowed. Just like what's the case with football that once blood comes out of a player's body he gets treated before he continues, I think there should be a level of regulation in MMA but unfortunately, fans might even tag it boring if things don't get extreme in a fight and serious blood doesn't come out. It's rather unfortunate though but things might even get worse.

Well thats how some people managed to make it legal. Plus I know theres some rules even the sports looks very violent. Some people love a good fighting event like this and Im sure theres some who dont too primarily women and elderly.

But sports like this are very likes by some men and some rich people who loves a good brawl. I myself not fond of mma and also prefer boxing  cause its more famous and good.

If you have been interested in the history of boxing, you know that boxing has not always been the way it is now. First of all, boxing was very tough before the introduction of gloves. And the rules were different too. So MMA is like going back to the past. This is for viewers who want "a little bit of barbarism," so to speak.
