About a year back there was a major political crisis in Rivers State where the governor His Excellency Sim Fubara had a clash with his predecessor and it resulted to so many things even to the point the President of the nation had to breach the laws of democracy and federalism in order to make sure there was peace. Months later he was reinstated after suspended and even for personal reasons decamped from his original political party PDP to APC and we all thought it was as a result of alliances been formed. Fast forward to this day, it is reported that the Governor of Rivers State, Governor Fubara had withdrawn from his political race for second term which has got so many people talking. Personally I don't know if it is just a political strategy or a it was out of fear or the initial agreement he once had with the President. According to insiders, one of the key terms or conditions he was given in order for his to be reinstated was that Fubara will be reinstated to complete his four-year tenure but must forgo any plans to seek a second term in 2027 — a move that will limit his clout but to which he agreed. I have added this link so you all can see the complete conditions Governor was given.Till this very moment the news is still one that is shocking to some and disappointing to others as they believe he had done so because he is not really up to the task although his reasons were clear and are stated out also for public reading by the Pinch news.Fellow Nigerians what do you people think is really the main issue behind this sudden withdrawal?

Well politics is a game of interest, it’s also not for the weak, Fubara wasn’t a politician from the onset and personally am not surprised that he has withdrawn from the 2027 governorship race because i saw it coming, the truth is Fubara has seen that presidency is on Wike side and as such he won’t win the primaries, so instead of him to contest the primaries and be humiliated he just withdrew peacefully, initially Fubara felt that as governor he will be the flag bearer by consensus but the APC have canceled that out and trust me there isn’t any way Fubara could have won the primaries by voting, the reason is because most of the party stakeholders are Wike loyalists e.g C.J Okocha, Victor Giadom etc, Wike also have all the local government chairmen on his side, Wike also have the house of assembly boys to himself including the House of Representative members and some senators, so there wasn’t any possibility of Fubara winning the primaries, what even made it crystal clear to Fubara that there wasn’t any hope was the way all of Fubara loyalists were screened out of APC primaries at different levels.
The Fubara tragic ending should serve as an eye opener to most Nigerians especially those that wants to venture into politics that one shouldn’t allow anyone to push him into a fighting a war that he isn’t certain of winning, Fubara was deceived by small boys like Oko Jumbo, Ihunwo, Edison etc who felt that politics was about energy and social media, forgetting the fact this boys are still young as long as Rivers politics is concerned, Sim wasn’t advised properly else he would have waited till second tenure before he start the fight but he felt that politics was by youthful energy whereas while they were shouting on social media Wike was busy strategizing and spotting loopholes, remember Wike is a barrister and dogged politician, it’s well with Rivers state at least the entire power tussle have come to an end, i wish both parties well in there future endeavors.

People way dey look for strong men to rule over them abeg make them beg them for me ohh, because na this same thing we do till we go find our self for Tinubu hands now everybody they suffer am till date. Nigerians are very good in condemning someone no doubt and that's is the more reasons we are facing this hell currently in this regime. And am pretty sure that after all this suffering and smiling we are passing through in the hands of this present administration of Gagaba don't be surprised that same complainers will still be the same people that will help and bring him back to office when brain washed forgetting the hell they passed through but if he was to be a good person I don't think it would have be easy for him to return back to office just as they did to Jonathan. However, time we tell, what we are going through now in this first tenure of Tinubu will be a Christmas compared to what we will be subjected to face if Tinubu evenually secure his second tenure in 2027.

I am both shock and disappointed when I saw this news this morning. I am shocked because I was not expecting it and I was disappointed that he had to withdraw. I am someone that really liked and have supported him, even of I am not a politician. I think he has good plans for the state, and I also thought that he will run for the 2nd trem after his decamp to the APC, so I was really disappointed. I must say that I am also angry with him, because if this was the original agreement, he should have nky agreed and it would have been better for him not to come when he was suspended, so we can all see the bully clearly, but him coming back and leading us on till this time and decide to withdraw, I am really disappointed. I really don't want to call him weak, because he that wears the shoes, knows where it pinches him, but like I said I am really disappointed by his actions.

I think withdrawing from the 2027 governorship may not be a matter of weakness, each person can express their opinion from their own place but we must call good and bad. There may be several reasons behind Sim Fubare withdrawal from politics. Many people think that Fubare withdrawal is due to his weakness, he will not be able to compete with the big political parties, even this may be a political strategy or a condition in the previous agreement. Politics is very bad, behind what we see face to face, there is a terrible truth hidden. Time will tell what is right and what is wrong but an honest and idealistic person is very important for the development of the country.

-Snip- Fellow Nigerians what do you people think is really the main issue behind this sudden withdrawal?
Permit me to start replying from the topic title, he is a big weakling, and nothing more. As usual, his slogan is: due to "peace, unity and stability, but history will have him as a weak political tool, a very pencil that Wike and Tinubu could use as they like, and eventually dumped when they see him useless to them. That guy should have fought from the beginning to finish and just leave honourably then, when the issue was at its peak with Wike, unlike this ridicule they made him see. Who doesn't know what's happening? They have their candidate, that's all.

Well, it's very disappointing to those of us that believed and supported the Governor of Rivers State Sim Fubara due to the action he took by withdrawing from the APC primaries because it looks at if he left everyone in the dark and was not truthful to his followers in as much as we understand that politics is a game of interest and moreover he wasn't a politician in the first place, he was only handpicked by the Demigod Nyesom Wike and imposed on Rivers people and we loved him due to his gentleness. There's no smoke without fire and I know his withdrawal must have come from the series of agreement he has signed but my question is, why did he engage in a fight he can't win in the first place and now he has left all his supporters stranded and disappointed?, Sim is another Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan that we have who can't stand their grounds and fight till the end they are weak yet very intelligent because they don't want a state of bloodshed instead they will leave the seat quietly, peace of mind is important so I can't really judge him on the decisions he has taken.

Sim fubara isn't a weakling,he is not a smart politician. Sim fubara came into politics through someone elses mandate and political structure, few years into power you want to destroy that same mandate and political structure that brought you into power. Sim fubara was even trying to incite rivers people against his oga the Fct minister which he clearly started that the fct minister is demanding too much from the state allocation which was a blatant lie. Sim fubara is an enemy of peace and progress in rivers, you cannot fight the hand that gave you power and think you will succeed in your political career. Loyalty means everything in politics ,even if you wanted absolute control as a state governor, why not humble yourself until your re elected for second tenure. APC did justice to sim fubara because why will they screen a state leader who doesn't have a single political structure in his own state. Sim fubara isn't a weakling rather he is the biggest failure in the history of rivers politics.

Baba leave that thing. Politics is not for the faint hearted and when you look at the personality of good luck Jonathan and fubara, I won't take offense against anyone that sees them as weakling because what they represent is typical of what weakling do. Before he rose to the position of a governor and considering the fact that he was even forced on the People by the same person that's now fighting him, he should know better that for him to go in opposite direction with wike that's he's going to face serious backlash that stepping down wouldn't solve. All the signs where visible that wike was against him right from the time of state of emergency but unfortunately, he doesn't have the mind of a typical Nigerian politician and mind you, in terms of corruption and dirty politics, Sim fubara is no different from other politicians so let's not even try to paint him as a saint. Politics in Nigeria is dirty, you came home through a dirty means, why then try to pretend you're now a saint just because you're actually weak to face wike? The only reasonable thing I see about his decision not to run fit second tenure is that his life is likely at stake or that he's been seriously threatened or promised something better if not, i don't see stepping down to be something that's all that smart coming from him.

If a politician is says he stepped down from a race and he is now using those kinds of words, I see him as a fearful and weak politician or leader. Which peace and unity is he talking about, the one he could have ensured if he had stood his ground during this politicking period and ensure he is re-elected or the lack of unity and peace which is most likely to come when the people do not get their mandate. I don't know Chinda and I'm not praying for the citizens of the state to get a wicked or insensitive leader but with Chinda, it looks like another era of godfatherism in Rivers State which is possibly going to last for the next 9 years if they succeed at the general elections unless if of course a rift comes up again like we saw with Fubara. But Chinda does not look like someone who will easily disrespect Woke if he wins as he's more of a politician than Fubara and is more likely to play the politics of loyalty with Wike than Fubara did despite Fubara being more favored politically by Wike in his career
