I kind of get it that your friend lost his discipline but that is gambling for you, very unpredictable, even in your behaviors as long as you give it a high priority. So this guy succumbed to the temptation, it's good that his family helped him. Yes, I do agree with this, but I don't agree that the guy was disciplined, the reason why he was considered disciplined because he probably didn't have the opportunity to show people that he is actually not disciplined. The reason why I say this is because a person who is truly disciplined will never rely on a single thing to pass their time no matter how much they like doing it. So if they already had stuff going on, such as basketball and watching movies when he got free time, he shouldn't have given gambling enough room to take the space of the other two, and someone disciplined should be able to manage these things properly.
