Manchester City has done the right thing by selling Reijnders to Al Qadsiah. He was a total mess in the PL. Don't be deceived by his goal contributions. He started the season well but his consistency was too bad. I’m worried that Liverpool’s desire to sign Barcola may be difficult to realize, given that PSG isn’t willing to lower its asking price. Not to mention, if it’s true that Gakpo wants to leave, then Liverpool will find itself in a difficult situation next season, which will affect their performance, especially since they’ve already lost Mo Salah.
I think Salah's departure is good for both sides. Because his last season performance wasn't even near the 24/25 season one... He had personal issues with Slot too maybe but I don't think it was only due to that. However Liverpool just needs to find someone to fill his place. Barcola might be a good choice for that but they had better accelerate the process as there is a short time left for the season to begin.

Cody Gakpo has always being a good addition to the team, so it would be a really big loss to Liverpool at this moment. Liverpool would have to complete signing Bradley Barcola or any other striker before releasing Gakpo, it would be a better option to sell off Isak over Gakpo at this point, he has not being the best at Liverpool after leaving Newcastle.
Liverpool are not where they need to be with the squad right now, and that would be a problem when the league starts, when they don't get the necessary replacement needed to strengthen the team.
Gakpo is moving to Tottenham in order to strengthen the team. I believe he will be among their first eleven over there. Liverpool will definitely miss him because he started playing for them at a very young age. Liverpool needs to sign more players before it's too late.

Liverpool still hasn't finished the signing of Bradley Barcola and now it's said Gakpo could also leave.

That’s exactly why Liverpool really shouldn’t let Gakpo go, since his performance hasn’t been disappointing. And I agree with your opinion that it would be better for Liverpool to sell Isak instead, because his performance has been terrible and, on top of that, he’s frequently injured. Liverpool must sign a replacement for Mohamed Salah as soon as possible because they don’t have much time left. Also, just forget about Barcola if PSG isn’t willing to lower his price, since the league is about to start and any new player they bring in will need time to adapt to the system the coach has established.

If a team wants to improve their squad they should focus on signing a replacement first before making any sales else it will affect the team. Let's take Chelsea as an example, they are good with their business and they always make sure to sign players first before selling any of their players. Gakpo is really not performing badly and I also don't support their sale if a proven replacement is not available. Their focus should be on getting Salah's replacement and maybe signing Gakpo replacement too if Barcola is not reachable. Although I don't support selling Isak even though he hasn't done enough he's still an asset and the fact that they spent so much on him is a reason they can't sell him yet.

You make a solid point. The quality and versatility that Gakpo still offers makes him worth keeping, but on the other hand, selling an underperforming and injury prone player is the most logical step to take. Another thing is that, Liverpool should also act quickly in finding a good replacement for Mo. Sallah, because the earlier they bring in a replacement, the quicker they can adapt

Seems buddy wants to go home and he just got the best ticket. I expected this move actually, he's in top form now and would surely be a good addition for Barca. On the other hand, this is a big loss for Manchester city and with their performance today, they haven't really found his replacement.

Pep gave him a good time to prove himself to the team and cement his place, but unfortunately he couldn’t make good use of the opportunity, and for any player that can’t improve under Pep Guardiola guidance, I don’t think that player is a top player. Pep was indirectly building a team that will be ready to compete this season, I strongly believe that he was the one that recommended the player sale for the club. But they shouldn’t make the mistake of thinking they are bringing another player to replace Salah in regard to performances and influence. Secondly I think Salah performance last season was due to his personal issues with the manager. The coach wasn’t treating him well, and Salah returned the favour. I know this because Salah has been consistent at the highest levels for years. He couldn’t have become that bad in same season he wasn’t good with Slot.

Suzuki will be the number 1 and first choice for Aston Villa henceforth, although the move linking Dibu Martinez from Aston Villa to Juventus was called off yesterday as posted by Fabrizio Romano on his twitter handle. Juventus are not after Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and negotiations to see him join them already kicked off. His move to PSG also didn't happen and I don't know why, I thought he would be a good competition for their number one Russian goalkeeper in goal. It seems like Manchester City will face a lot of difficulties this season, they couldn't even score a single goal yesterday against Arsenal. Has it gone thay bad and rogue?

The competition between Barcelona and real Madrid is now on a tie with both teams success in signing quality players to Their team. Things have now moved from players end to managers end and whichever of them that will do better in this season will largely depend on which of the manager is able to make good use of the available players.

A player cannot be directly called bad for not scoring goals as much as he used to by changing his role or position. His performance should be evaluated based on the role he plays on the field. So it is also necessary to consider how he interacted with the coach. Because the coach's motivation and keeping the player free from pressure greatly affects performance on the field. So I agree that Salah is not really replaceable, especially in terms of his goals, assists, experience and impact on the team. However, Liverpool should find a quality player to fill the void left by Salah rather than looking for a replacement.

You are right, Manchester city need to make sure that they sign Enzo Fernandez and Buddoi before the window closes. I still don't trust Eliot Anderson, so if Fernandez can come to city, Maresca will play double pivot like he did while at Chelsea. Rodri is the engine of this Manchester city team and hadn't been he was fully fit throughout last season, they might have won the league. We all witnessed, his role in the FA cup and Carabao cup final . Now, it is Arsenal that will have the final laugh, as they see no possible threat from Manchester city. After watching yesterdays match, I believe the area in which city still need to strengthen are the Wings, wingback/fullback, and a solid CM . If they can strengthen those positions, then there be a chance for them to compete with Arsenal. The market is currently overpriced, I wonder how much they will spend to get these players. Their owner is a billionaire, so it should be easy for them.

i don't think current match results can be a final judgement for Man City. As we know, City currently coached by a new coach, they need more time to adapt with new coach style and strategy. Community Shield can be a warming up match for both team, even not winning at least coach maybe found something to improved his strategy. But, Arsenal have an advantage to get EPL title once again if, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea failed to improved their performance this season. While for MU, we need to know, last season performance from carrick squad is a luck or his strategy really effective to bring MU back to the top.

I agree that Liverpool should not look for a player and expect him to simply become the next salah. They can replace the position, but replacing his goals, assists, experience and influence is completely different thing. Regarding his last season, I also think the relationship with slot could have played a part, but I am not sure we can say that was the main reason for his drop in performance. Salah has been so consistent for so long that one weak season does not suddenly make him a bad player. Liverpool just need to move forward and find someone who can contribute in his own way rather than trying to recreate salah

I think it's a big lose for Manchester City they definitely need a perfect replacement hope they sign Enzo Fernandez from chelsea otherwise they will struggle alot this season without rodri on the other side a win win situation for barcelona they complete their squad and got a Sergio busquest replacement after so many year and actually Barca have a problem in the ucl last stages matchs but now rodri can solve that's problem because they have ucl experience.

Finally another transfer is on the way for Manchester City! Elliot Anderson was the only serious move they made until this time. Now another midfielder is coming. I guess Enzo Maresca will form a midfield of Anderson - Bouaddi at the centre or rather an investment into the future. Bouaddi is a great talent by the way. But he is still only 18... Manchester City has changed their transfer strategy a lot in the recent years. This is Guardiola's affect and probably their new manager also doesn't want to change anything.

Nothing have been decided, But from the speculations that we are hearing is that Tottenham is interested in Gakpo and Savinho, they want both players, I think if Liverpool signs Bradley Barcola they will allow Gakpo to leave the club, Gakpo was very poor for Liverpool last season his performance was below average last season. He might decide to try something new with Tottenham and seek for a new Challenge, Tottenham seems to be building a very good team, it’s a good project they’re building, Gakpo will be better for Tottenham, he better leave Liverpool else he will have less opportunity of playing time when Barcola Arrives for Liverpool.

The result is not farfetched, we can see from their performance yesterday that the loophole left by these key players are yet to be fixed. Rodri and Bernardo were playmakers as well and loosing them is a difficult start for Maresca at Manchester City. I was not surprised they lost to Arsenal yesterday, they were overrun easily from the midfield. Maresca has a bigger job now in City, which is rebuilding the team with those left and he has to do that within the shortest possible time.
