Manchester city has accepted Barcelona deal for Rodri, he's now officially a Barcelona player. Seems buddy wants to go home and he just got the best ticket. I expected this move actually, he's in top form now and would surely be a good addition for Barca. On the other hand, this is a big loss for Manchester city and with their performance today, they haven't really found his replacement.

Rodri could have signed for Real Madrid as well but Florentino Perez didn't want this transfer to happen. Probably the serious injury he had for a long time has caused Perez to make his decision in this way.

Manchester City has signed Elliot Anderson who could be his young replacement at the team. But €135m is a really insane sum of money for a central midfielder.

Liverpool couldn't still finalize the Barcola deal. If Gakpo also leaves their reliable winger options will be really narrow.

Manchester City has already sold two key players Rodri to Barcelona and Bernardo Sylva to Real Madrid. There midfield will be porous now. It's going to be a big challenge this season between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The result is not farfetched, we can see from their performance yesterday that the loophole left by these key players are yet to be fixed. Rodri and Bernardo were playmakers as well and loosing them is a difficult start for Maresca at Manchester City. I was not surprised they lost to Arsenal yesterday, they were overrun easily from the midfield. Maresca has a bigger job now in City, which is rebuilding the team with those left and he has to do that within the shortest possible time.
I think that i was actually surprise by the performance of manchester city agsinst Arsenal yesterday. Yes it true that city sold these two key players . But i expected something better from them, going by the team that Pep left behind last season their perfornance yesterday is nothing short of failure by my standarnd. The entire team was poor espercially the midfield which is a very big csuse of concern to me. Maresca should make sure that he looks fir suitable replacements thst can fit in well to the midfield because it was poor.

Maresca should build on the success that was achived by Pep, because i dont belive that a team like manchester city could perform that poor. City were generally struggling and could not even hold on to the ball generally in the game. The attact was nothing to right home about because there was no too much presure that was put on the Arsenal defence.

Maybe the city players did not tske the game serious , if not i did not expect that city will perform like that . Maresca should work on the mentality of his city players, because if they starts the season this way i see problem for this city team.

Rodri has move to Barcelona at the right time, i believe he wants to be at home, Barcelona has strengthen there team more by adding Rodri to the team to see if they can win the laliga title again, it's actually a big loss to Man city to loss a player like Rodri they need him more this season. Man city performance this season might be terrible we have seen how Arsenal humiliated them in the carabao cup, they are going to miss there formal coach because it will be too difficult for Man city to be a coach like Pep Guardiola.
Perfect, now he's moved to Barcelona let's now watch how it goes over there, he might be going there to play for fun and at the same time play for what his there for, he's already gotten everything in football with Manchester City, now he's 30 years old, do you guys still believe he will give that same vibe he gave at Manchester City? Anyways I never can tell he might do better, but I'm not really certain of that, the league is about to start or it's already started, so let's just wait and see how it goes with him and the Barcelona team.

A can am expect a good performance but not a performance that can challenge Arsenal especially in decisive games like this. I wasn't surprised that they lost to Arsenal, I was only surprised that they lost in that manner without fighting back.

Selling your key players and also losing your manager is enough to have a rough time for the time being. When you have a new manager it will definitely affect the team's performance, they are bound to struggle for a while and until the new manager is fully settled before we can see improvements. It takes time for a coach to establish their idea in a team so I expect Manchester City to struggle for a while and then improve after some time. It's early, I believe he is working and doing his best but needs time first.

Nah, you are  liar.....!!!!
Real Madrid never close the deal of Rodri due to injury despite Rodri rejected them by himself. Like initially Real Madrid was pushing hard for his deal even Real Madrid offered him substantial contract but still he denied Real Madrid and chose Barcelona as next destination. After a World Cup Real Madrid really impressed by his performance and that's why they was on plan to sign him as regular players but Barca win the tie......

However it was his own choice like Rodri by himself preferred Barcelona over Real Madrid because he knows that Barcelona is only twna where his vib can match with the style play. Pep Guardiola also suggest him to go to Barcelona rather than other team.

I actually knew that this is how everything is going to end, Rodri just won the world cup with a team that probably half of them are playing for Barcelona so I would say it was quite obvious that he will be going for Barcelona and the dramas and everything to me was quite unnecessary.
Regardless I know he's happy for where he is right now and she will definitely put in his best and also to make young ones in the team to grow as well, he will be seen as a leader in the team rather than just a regular team mate.

After some tough negotiations, Barcelona finally managed to sign Rodri. Of course, Rodri will be a great addition to Barcelona, given his undeniable quality. The question is, with Rodri on the team, will Frenkie de Jong be benched? Given the formation used by Hansi Flick, two central midfielders and one attacking midfielder, one spot is already secured by Pedri. The other position will be contested between Rodri and Frenkie de Jong. However, regardless of that competition, Barcelona’s midfield now boasts strong depth.

This is a good, in fact an excellent signing for Barcelona as Rodri is especially good in relieving the stress of the centre halves especially in Barcelona's failing defensive game while all the way improving the distribution of passes to the opposition third. With this Rodri's signing and Barcelona not putting Frankie Dejong up as next season captain, all the while slating the voting till after the transfer window closes shows that they want to push Frankie out.

If that's the cause, which premier league team would want it and which will even be his best fit ?

He has already achieved everything in football for Manchester City and I would say that he has already achieved everything for Spain, however it is true the same excitement he gave at Manchester City will probably be able to give it at Barcelona too. In fact this experienced midfielder has joined his favorite club Barcelona so it seems that he will try to give his best for this club.

The 2026-27 La Liga season has already started and we can see that the current La Liga champion will face Elche in the first match of this new season, maybe in that match Barcelona will put this experienced Spanish midfielder in their starting eleven to win the first match of this season. Also, the Barcelona manager is very confident about this Manchester City player because he mentioned that Barcelona has added the best number six in the world of football to their team and he will be able to help Barcelona a lot in the upcoming season.

Don't call anyone liar before making sure of all reliable sources supporting your statement. Wink Here on Goal.com there was already an article shared related to Rodri's transfer.

It says that Florentino Perez was actually reluctant to complete the deal. This was also a reason behind Rodri to reject Real Madrid eventually and decide on Barcelona instead. He is a really good transfer for Barcelona though as they can start conceding less than before.

Barcelona midfield wasn't really solid last season, which was why the got eliminated in the Champions league and La liga. I don't even think there was a time where the midfielders were fully fit last season. It either Pedri gets injured, and when he returns, de Jong will also take his place in the hospital. The midfield was so fragile that the has to be using Eric Garcia who is a CB to play as a DM. Rodri coming to Barcelona will give them extra boost, experience and leadership role. This kind of midfield depth will give Barcelona high chance to rotate their players in order not to over play them like Hansi did last season which resulted into multiple injuries. For the past 3 years now, Barcelona have been searching for a good DM to fill in and do the job in which Busquets does. Rodri will really play a huge role in Barcelona this season.. he might be the missing piece in that midfield.

Rodri's recruitment by Barcelona is a fantastic move, and we anticipate better outcomes from the team. This is me being impartial because, although I usually support Real Madrid, they are messing up, and I will cheer on Barcelona because they are performing so well. After all, this is what Real Madrid has failed to accomplish—exactly what we want—but things are changing now, and with Rodri's addition to the collection, there will be fierce competition. In the long term, though, we don't know who will win La Liga because things will only get more difficult.

No one is making jokes this season since Barcelona has bolstered their midfield, and I'm confident that a different face will emerge because nobody will undervalue anyone. Given how active every club is attempting to be this season, there is a good chance that Madrid will need to put in a lot of effort in La Liga. It will be a class of the titans in La Liga since we desire that challenge and they should be able to do better.

The acquisition of Rodri will bring something very special to this Barca team. I will always choose them to be favourite for the Lalliga tittle, no matter how  Madrid buy players, they won't be able to outplay Barca. Although I know Madrid have actually gotten some good players in this current transfer market, but I can't say they are better than Barca in anything.
I know Barca do not have a sharp attacker to lead the line, but they have good wingers that can make things happen and get you some good number of goals. This is what is really going to make Lalliga very competitive this season, and the Elclassico is going to be very interesting to watch now that they have these set of players in both team.
I will see the best team among their two when they will both meet this season.

After seeing how poorly Anderson performed in the Community Shield final, the €135 million price tag is too high for Manchester City. More precisely, the price is completely unreasonable. I’m starting to think that Anderson looks like he’ll be a bad signing for Manchester City.
Manchester City over payer for Elliot Anderson, maybe it was because they wanted him badly since they had already part ways with Bernardo Silva as he joined Real Madrid for free, they are trying to secure the player easily, they paid the fee to avoid competition, but the player didn’t worth that amount of money, considering how cheap they also sold Rodri.

I can’t judge Elliot Anderson with just one match, I will wait till the season starts, but I am expecting much from him because he is among the top signings that are very expensive in the transfer market this summer.

Please take a chill pill, it’s just the first game and a Community Shield, I agree with you that he is way too expensive but that is the nature of the market now, there is nothing Clubs can do about it, his price was inflated by Nothingham Forest Owner because he is an English International and also his participation in the just concluded World Cup, but I disagree with you that he isn’t going to thrive in Manchester City midfield, I think there is a reason why Manchester City agreed to pay such an outrageous amount to sign him, because he is a talented player and there is so much potential in him, you don’t judge a player after one game, don’t forget he signed a 6 years contract.

Anderson has only played one game for Manchester City, but you’re right about his performance. €135 million is too high a price for Anderson if his performance for Manchester City in crucial matches falls far short of expectations. Maybe it’s the Maresca effect. If Manchester City were still under Pep, Anderson’s performance might not have been like it was in the Community Shield final.

The match against Bournemouth could be a good opportunity to further assess Anderson’s performance. If there’s no improvement, the Anderson signing will end up being just like the Reijnders signing—which was initially considered a good move but resulted in him being cut from the starting lineup, even though he scored a goal in his debut.

Rodri departure is really painful for Man City, maybe it's because Pep Guardiola has also left Man City. You could say Rodri is a very central player for Man City, and now they've just lost one of their best anchors, and now their choice is focused on Barcelona. This isn't surprising because as you said, he would be more comfortable playing with Barcelona.

What's interesting is that he wasn't Barcelona initial target for the summer. He only became a priority for Barcelona after Rodri won the World Cup and Frenkie de Jong's long injury left Barca midfield in need of new ammunition, and at the same time the opportunity came, and they moved quickly.

For Barcelona this is the best transfer, but for Man City it's a bitter blow. This season, Man City has already let Silva go to Real Madrid and now the most consistent midfield anchor of the last seven seasons is also leaving for Barcelona. And it's most obvious that Man City really struggles without Rodry, as they lost to Arsenal in the Community Shield recently. I hope Man City can find replacements for Rodry and Silva quickly if they want to compete with Arsenal this season.

It's reported that Manchester United is about to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton for €60m, it will be a good replacement for Casemiro in this Manchester united squad, I'm excited as Manchester united fans about this news,  last season we tried to sign him but Brighton requested €100m then which was too much for on him. If Manchester United can get him for €60M I'm be glad, he's a talented player and he's just 25 years. Before weekend I want to see here we go!!.

Arsenal on the other hand is doing well in the transfer market, they have strengthen their defense and midfield with additional world class players, the signing of Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa to thei defense is a done deal and a real boost to their defense line , he will replace Saliba , till he returns from injury.

If the deal could pull through for Manchester United is will say its a welcome development for both the young talented player and Manchester United also,  since the departure of Casimero they have been looking forward for a perfect replacement but finds it very difficult getting for reasons one can't tell,  although two midfielders have been signed with others promoted from United's academy to fill that same gap which I can't tell will match it perfectly but with the presence of Carlos I don't think there will be any challenges on that same position.
I will say landing Carlos is a very good move for Manchester United and that alone will give them the momentum required to face the battle ahead of them next season.
