It's reported that Manchester United is about to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton for €60m, it will be a good replacement for Casemiro in this Manchester united squad, I'm excited as Manchester united fans about this news, last season we tried to sign him but Brighton requested €100m then which was too much for on him. If Manchester United can get him for €60M I'm be glad, he's a talented player and he's just 25 years. Before weekend I want to see here we go!!.
Arsenal on the other hand is doing well in the transfer market, they have strengthen their defense and midfield with additional world class players, the signing of Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa to thei defense is a done deal and a real boost to their defense line , he will replace Saliba , till he returns from injury.
The season is really going to be very competitive regardless of the fact that there is no Pep Guardiola again in the league to challenge Arteta fiercely for the EPL tittle, however, Arsenal must not underate premier league teams and I believe they know that too, because what Carrick is building at Manchester United is becoming scary and I think they will be the team to pose serious threat to that tittle, although injury and fatigue will hit them along the way as I think United do not have enough squad depth to actually challenge for the trophy and win it from them. Another team that will definitely do well again is Totheham, people are not talking about them enough, but if you know the kind of coach they have, and how tactical he is in his formation, you will obviously be scared, couple with the fact that they have brought in new players that can elevate the standard of the team. It's really going to be a long and competitive season for all the clubs in the premier league, and I think the league tittle is open to everyone, not only Arsenal and Man U alone.

You are right from the different coaches that, in have seen coming into the premier league we will have nothing short of High intensity competition over who dominates the leagues. I don't personally believes that Art eta will have an easy run for in the league. I see top competition coming from other teams. Teams in the premier league is seriously planing and recruiting, player's to strengthen their teams. We are seeing signing from other teams and I have to say that in have been impressed by the way teams the the league has been busy in this transfer window. The big four teams Chelsea, Manchester united, Liverpool and Manchester City has been very busy strengthening their teams, so Arsenal should be very careful going into the new season. If Arteta thinks that because Pep is no longer in the premier league and so so he can win then, he should have a rethink.

I think that i was actually surprise by the performance of manchester city agsinst Arsenal yesterday. Yes it true that city sold these two key players . But i expected something better from them, going by the team that Pep left behind last season their perfornance yesterday is nothing short of failure by my standarnd. The entire team was poor espercially the midfield which is a very big csuse of concern to me. Maresca should make sure that he looks for suitable replacements thst can fit in well to the midfield because it was poor.
Since Manchester city played against Arsenal in the community shield, I no longer have confidence in Manchester city to perform well when the season start, because they performed below my expectation in the match, I expected something better from Manchester city in the match but they disappointed me and conceded 3 goals in the match. With the way other clubs are building their squad, then Manchester city might just end up struggling when the season start. Manchester City is having quality players, I was thinking Enzo Maresca won’t find things difficult, but with the current situation that Manchester city are, Maresca is really having lots to work on.

If Arteta thinks that because Pep is no longer in the premier league and so so he can win then, he should have a rethink.
No manager would underestimate another team just because the opponent has changed coaches from top manager to ordinary level coaches. I believe Arteta will not thinking he can easily win the Premier League just because Pep is no longer at City. Its impossible for me, because every coach will remains wary of the teams they face, especially for the big four that always fighting for title race every season. That why Arteta is rebuilding his squad to make it stronger, bringing in new players and spending more than €160 million, if he underestimating City, there would be no need to spend a lo of money in the transfer market.

EPL 2025/2026 won by Arsenal. We will soon face competition season 2026/2027. We will see various early speculation. Team strength map will change a lot, among others: - Guardiola leaving Man City, can they get replacement coach that equal with Guardiola?
- Xabi Alonso become newcomer in EPL, can Alonso change Chelsea from slumped this season to become champion of season 2026/2027?
- Will Arne Slot get fired or actually bring Liverpool back to win EPL 2026/2027?
- Will Carrick bring MU back to champion 2026/2027 after success saving MU in season 2025/2026?
- Can Arsenal defend their champion title in 2026/2027?
- Will Tottenham succeed to fix their performance in 2026/2027 and take back Europe competition slot?
I don't see any coach replacing the legacy of Pep Guardiola in Manchester City, he could a good coach but can't be Pep Guardiola replacement. Chelsea were actually having a bad season and Xabi Alonso who was sacked as Real Madrid coach is now there new coach, well i can't say anything about it now Xabi could still bring the team back as nothing is impossible in football if you can win the Bundesliga tittle unbeaten he can make Chelsea team better than last season if given time. Arne Slot i already thought he has been sacked by Liverpool after a horrible performance last season. Carrick has won the heart of all Manchester United fans, he brought the team back alive after Amorim almost destroyed it so let's see if he can bring back same performance last season if he does he might win league for Manchester United this season. Arsenal has been consistently challenging for the league tittle since Arteta became there coach and last season they won it after 22 years of waiting but defending the tittle again won't be easy for them. Tottenham almost got relegated, they struggle to remain in the league though that was the first time am seeing Tottenham perform so poorly, i just hope they can be back to Europe competition next season.

That’s clear. After all, the legacy Guardiola left at Manchester City will be very difficult for any coach to match or replace. Not only that, but during such a transitional period, it’s also difficult for Maresca to improve Manchester City performance, and we saw that firsthand when Manchester City faced Arsenal in the Community Shield match. Furthermore, Maresca will undoubtedly be under immense pressure because, inevitably, fans will constantly compare him to Guardiola, a challenge that will make his first season at Manchester City particularly difficult.

The fact that Manchester united is becoming more scarier is more interesting and you shouldn't forget that Manchester United were two steps away from being relegated I think some seasons back but the narrative is quite different now. During last session, Manchester united finish as the top three best team when the season ended and another thing that interests me was that Michael Carrick didn't buy any players till the season end. It was the same players that amorim couldn't manage well that Michael Carrick use and climb to the top of the table. This will tell you that Manchester united will be more deadlier now that Carrick has added some additional strengths into the team.

According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Kenan Yildis of Juventus, in a move to booster their attack line. Last season, they were heavily criticized for depending on only corner kicks for goals, and this happened because there no creativity in that front line. Saka was mostly injured, and even when he was fit, he lacked that electrifying spark he used to have before that makes him get more goals.
Arsenal have identified their problem, which is lack of players that can create chances for goals and score goals, therefore, they have seen Yildis as that man that can give them flare and agility in n frot of goal this season. And if they can sign him, and also add Osimhen to this squad, then Arsenal must be in for something very serious next season, and I will definitely tip them for the champions league trophy.

As of August 19, Tijjani officially moved to the SPL. It seems that Maresca indeed did not want him on the player bench. Tijjani Reijnders was transferred for around €55 million / £52 million. Keep in mind that Tijjani Reijnders has only been with Man City for 1 year. At his age and in his prime condition, he should ideally remain in Europe. Tijjani's departure represents a new challenge, especially since Rodri also left. The club lost two players at the same time in the same position. Who is the replacement? It's too early to quickly conclude a game, let alone Enzo Maresca first game as Man City coach. Although I was disappointed with the result, the league is long and exhausting, unlike the community shield and the appeal of winning trophies is very different. Let Enzo Maresca assemble the Man City squad for one season ahead, get to know the players more closely and unite each other's visions, then we can see the results.

After some tough negotiations, Barcelona finally managed to sign Rodri. Of course, Rodri will be a great addition to Barcelona, given his undeniable quality. The question is, with Rodri on the team, will Frenkie de Jong be benched? Given the formation used by Hansi Flick, two central midfielders and one attacking midfielder, one spot is already secured by Pedri. The other position will be contested between Rodri and Frenkie de Jong. However, regardless of that competition, Barcelonas midfield now boasts strong depth.
It will be difficult for Barcelona to make space in midfield, but also considering the fact that they play in three competitions, it makes the organic side of the squad obviously in need of expansion. Consequently, i think that everyone will be able to find playing time and, above all, Rodri will still need to be kept under control, given his latest injury.

https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/2089056716709048718?s=46Manchester city has accepted Barcelona deal for Rodri, he's now officially a Barcelona player. Seems buddy wants to go home and he just got the best ticket. I expected this move actually, he's in top form now and would surely be a good addition for Barca. On the other hand, this is a big loss for Manchester city and with their performance today, they haven't really found his replacement. Rodri has move to Barcelona at the right time, i believe he wants to be at home, Barcelona has strengthen there team more by adding Rodri to the team to see if they can win the laliga title again, it's actually a big loss to Man city to loss a player like Rodri they need him more this season. Man city performance this season might be terrible we have seen how Arsenal humiliated them in the carabao cup, they are going to miss there formal coach because it will be too difficult for Man city to be a coach like Pep Guardiola. Perfect, now he's moved to Barcelona let's now watch how it goes over there, he might be going there to play for fun and at the same time play for what his there for, he's already gotten everything in football with Manchester City, now he's 30 years old, do you guys still believe he will give that same vibe he gave at Manchester City? Anyways I never can tell he might do better, but I'm not really certain of that, the league is about to start or it's already started, so let's just wait and see how it goes with him and the Barcelona team. I think one of the reason he went to Spain is because he is a citizen of that country so he believe he is at home if he become a Barca player, of a truth Rodri has achieve everything with Manchester city, he was one of the most important footballer of Pep so with his age now and injury i don't think he can give same vibes he gave at Manchester city. He might retire in Barcelona since he has already won the premier league title with Manchester city and also the UEFA champions league including fifa club world cup and also the world cup with Spain.

Rodri could have signed for Real Madrid as well but Florentino Perez didn't want this transfer to happen. Probably the serious injury he had for a long time has caused Perez to make his decision in this way.
Manchester City has signed Elliot Anderson who could be his young replacement at the team. But 135m is a really insane sum of money for a central midfielder.
Liverpool couldn't still finalize the Barcola deal. If Gakpo also leaves their reliable winger options will be really narrow.
I believe that Florentino Pérez certainly has the experience to be able to judge and know what is best for his club. However, i see a formidable midfielder in Rodri and probably Florentino Pérez will not have wanted to risk money for a midfielder who is coming off a serious injury and who doesn't know how much continuity he could provide.

Carrick is really doing a good job with those folks (same players that Amorim couldn’t utilize well now seem to perform better under Carrick) and i think it’s safe to say that his bounce at United wasn’t a fluke at all. It’s very obvious that they are gonna be a handful this season; not them fighting for top 6 but a proper proper title race if everything clicks for them. I’m definitely looking forward to watching their performance this season.

Don't call anyone liar before making sure of all reliable sources supporting your statement. Here on Goal.com there was already an article shared related to Rodri's transfer.
It says that Florentino Perez was actually reluctant to complete the deal. This was also a reason behind Rodri to reject Real Madrid eventually and decide on Barcelona instead. He is a really good transfer for Barcelona though as they can start conceding less than before.
I think that he was already thinking of going to Barcelona, also given the significant number of national team mates that he finds together at the club. He will certainly feel much more comfortable and more in a familiar environment with Barcelona, rather than with Real Madrid. So i believe that Florentino Perez didn't want to take the shot, perhaps also for this reason.
