Well I think it is easy as spare money is considered the money that is surplus to you after you have paid all bills and also have enough other money to comfortable live the month until the next paycheck. This is for average people as most average people in US and Europe live paycheck by paycheck, the other ones are called aristocracy. So I don't know what class are you but if you can cover all your bills and different expenses for the month until you receive your next salary, any money above this is called the spare money, meaning money you can afford to lose otherwise. The bad thing is that even if someone starts with that type of money to play, spare money without knowing he can get sucked into the rage of gambling because of lost money and start spending money that one cannot afford to lose.

Anyways, this is has been a topic which has been touched several times here on the gambling section of the forum. Itself the term "spare" money is very relative to the definition of the person, not the same amount of money can be considered "spare" by all of us.

When you working and you receive your salary, you can just decide to allocate some amount of money for gambling, or you might be having some money in your account which you won’t really be using, you can just decide to gamble with it, or you can take some amount of money from it, and you will gamble with it.

Just as you are earning on forum here, you can just decide to gamble with maybe $10 of your earnings every week, or any amount which you think it’s not going to affect you if you lose it. You are gambling for the sake of entertainment, so you should be able to use some of your money to have fun.

Gambling is not for generating money, that is sometimes a lucky outcome from it but these games are not designed with players profiting from them. The only way to profit from gambling reliably is to take a skilled path like a poker pro, somehow formulate a sports betting strategy that will slowly see you "gubbed" (max bet restricted) at every bookmaker or own the actual casino itself. There are a million other ways to make money besides gambling and you should focus on those, while limiting how much of your leisure money you're dropping into part time hobbies like gambling. There's nothing wrong with betting as long as you do it in moderation, which is similar to most things in life.

"Spare Money" isn't really the right word.. Spare money can be money you're not using at a particular period for satisfaction of needs and want [in my defini.] but that doesn't mean you can afford to loose if on gambling.

Firstly, Yes I use my spare money to gamble and there's no other way of identifying your spare money than when you plan your income and expenditure properly, As a person you should be able to estimate what your expenses should look like for a period and apportion relevant income to it. Whatever remains is your spare money and you don't necessarily need to use all to gamble, you still need to save, keep some for discretionary spending and invest if you want to.

Personally, I use around 2 - 3% of my monthly income to gamble and so far, it's working for me, it's important you know what's your spare income so that you don't often get to find out later on that you've used money meant for your necessities for gambling and which would put you in a difficult financial situation.

I have no idea what "spear money" is, but I know "spare money" is the money after all expenses, savings, and backup savings have been accounted for and separated.  So spare money is the excess that we can spend freely without affecting our fund allocations.

I always try to use my spare money to gamble, which is also the reason why I allocated a certain budget to gambling after all the expenditures and savings are deducted from my earnings.  I call the fund left after all was deducted as entertainment money.

That word spare money is too vague. The right word is money you can afford to lose. I can't lose money already budgeted for feeding, clothing, bills, money meant for shopping Or my kids school fees.  Some people could actually go that far to use their kids school fees to gamble and when they lose it. They tend to borrow to pay. Sometimes, they won't even pay the school fees and still go gamble it. Very sad. Specifically, everyone has an amount money they  actually afford to lose. If you don't, it's a sign not to gamble at all. First attend to things that needs attending to before gambling money meant for something very important.

OP, you need to work on your English vocabulary because changing a single letter on a word can change the entire meaning of the statement.

And you are talking about spare money, like if you make $1000 a day and you won't hesitate to spend $50 meal a day because you can afford it and the same way you can spend $50 on gambling too, it is just a rought figure and you need to find what is your spare value depends on how much you make and how much you have to pay in bills and other necessary expenses.

You will know this if you usually keep a budget; not just a gambling budget, but a general budget that comprises all of your weekly or monthly income and expenditures, including savings. It is after doing all the summation and subtraction that you will see what is left, which you can call spare money.

Some gamblers do not necessarily make use of spare money; they include gambling expenses in their budgets too. This here is basically one of the smartest gambling rules any gambler can employ. The moment that one realizes that losing a particular amount of money in gambling would affect their finances, which includes their bills, savings, or even push them into taking loans just to foot their bills, then they should know that it’s a cue that they are risking way too much and a clear indicator that they should turn back. You don't gamble when you don’t have a stable job that pays on a monthly basis or a good source of income. Gambling should be regarded as a side hustle and its only wise to use whatever amount you can afford to lose, that spare money is gotten from the jobs you receive payment on a weekly or monthly basis.

It is easy to identify how much you can afford to lose by calculating how much you earn and expenses involved too. The amount left after all these necessary issues are sorted out is your spare money that could be used for any irrelevant issue. For someone who earns little to even survive, it is unwise to even engage in any gambling activity.

Of course, all everyone has said its true and that's the right step for one to take, if they truly wants to remain responsible in gambling because there is no how one will gamble with their spare money, that they won't have to enjoy the game, although there are times that one will not enjoy the game but whenever they find themselves in it, they are control their emotions so that make mistakes that ruined their lives.
