It depends on your concept of addiction, alot of us dependant on trading and that's a form of addiction even if we don't accept it as long as it causes financial, physical or emotional harm. Unlike investments, I know alot of people who lose in trading but they keeping grinding in the aim of making back there money, whether we like it or not, even we lose in trading, there is always this emotional pain or the idea that you would make it back, that's a sign if addiction. Unless you can tell me you have 100% successful trade execution.

But the beauty of trading addiction is that we have alot of successful addicts, lol.

People who depend on trading have made it their source of income. So anytime they don’t get benefits from trading, they always feel that pain and will want to try another way out, or change some strategy to get profit on their next move in trading. Anyone that trades always needs profit. And when we don’t get what we need, we will all feel weak. When you become addicted to trading and you’re not getting profits, it will always cause harm. It will continue giving you problems. Trading is very high risk. If you don’t have patience and you haven’t learned how to manage risk, you shouldn’t even go near the market. Because if you don’t understand how it works, the only thing you’ll gain is losing.
Most of us who try trading start without a clear idea about this subject. Trading is not only about making money, sometimes you have to be patient and spend time analyzing the market to gain skills. I personally do not think that only trading for the purpose of earning is logical. Most of the time, you have to be in a buying strategy without thinking much profit as soon as possible about the main objective. We have to trade with such an amount of funds that you have available as an additional amount of funds.

I consider trading strategy to be an expression of the knowledge gained from experience. To gain knowledge about trading, you have to be involved in long-term investments and analyze the price information in the market. Just buying when the price decreases and selling when the price increases cannot be called trading. You have to buy regularly and build up a holding. This is the initial stage of trading. After a certain period of time, sustainable withdrawal with profit is success. Those who buy at a low price and sell the entire amount when the price increases slightly are in a risky situation and are taking a risk, much like gambling.

when in fact the money and big boys lifestyles they live is fuel by the extravagant lifestyle they earn from money they make from selling course to people.
So they are like selling trading classes or signals to members who follow them. The profit from trading may not be clear, but the money gained from members who register for signals is certain. This kind of pattern actually makes traders more similar to gambling. So it is very possible that they become addicted to trading. But which is more serious, gambling addiction or trading addiction? Or are both equally deadly?

Buying signals take time, so people need to know when they've gone too far. Is it not preferable to utilize the same energy to learn and spend money on the things you should be learning? It depends on what you want and how you want things to be; some individuals learn and survive. Given what is going on, we must realize that it is better to be in control of ourselves because when those coping cues come directly from us, we will take things more seriously.  And for those who are still unsure whether trading addiction is a terrible thing, we must acknowledge that trading addiction will only lead to negative outcomes because addiction to anything does not always end nicely.

If you see trading as a means of quick profit, it will gradually get out of control. It is much more effective to invest time in knowledge and risk management when learning trading. The more you understand the market, the more realistic it will be to set your own limits. How much money can be risked. A person can trade with limited capital, a certain time and risk management. But when trading starts to take control of daily life, trading to cover losses, using money beyond limits, it is no longer a normal investment decision. It can become a behavioral problem. You should maintain control over yourself. It is not possible to control the market. But it is possible to control your limits, decisions and behavior. It is more valuable to not take excessive risks at the wrong time to survive in the long run.

Yes trading addiction actually exist and is even worse than gambling addiction because the lost is usually more bigger.
Both of the addictions are bad and can incur significant lost overtime. However, that is one disadvantages of addiction, is never fair not even in a day. Once you're addicted, regardless on what you are addicted to, it barely result into something good and that why it must be avoided.

Quote
Back then when I was in the university my roommate was a trader and he became so addicted to trading that he stopped going to class and it got to a point he even wanted to leave school because according to him school is distracting him from trading.
This is the first time I'm hearing something of this nature. Indeed it's crazy for him to think of leaving school all because he wants more time to carry out his trading activities. That is very strange but I hope his fine now.

Quote
I also had a friend who was so addicted to gambling back then too but comparing him to my roommate who was addicted to trading my roommate was worse, he waste more more, and has no time for anyone or anything always focusing on studying the market but my friend who was addicted to gambling back then was having time for other things and even his lectures so trading addiction is worse and very dangerous and should be avoided.
I doubt if that so call gamble addict of a guy of yours was actually in deep addiction, because the real addiction that I know can make someone act very unusual. Or maybe his case wasn't that severe.

It depends on what you want and how you want things to be; some individuals learn and survive. If truly signals are working out, as some people always claim, then by now almost everyone in the crypto industry should have become rich and we hardly to see someone complaining trading is risk.Even the signals that are sold to some traders almost all.them regret of buying it.almost signal give out it someone concluding after the analysis and they may have ended up selling the signals to others simply because they feel that they better predicting the market. So, even those who give out signals also try by error they are doing and that is why many signals given out do not always pay off. So, I will say that people should stay away from buying signals. It is a waste of money, and buying signals does not make someone a trader. To become a trader, someone has to learn how to trade based on their own analysis, not someone else analysis.

Any addiction is not always lead negative or positive. What will really make a trader become addicted is a lack of proper knowledge. Someone who does not have proper knowledge will always want to trade, even when it is not the right time to enter the market.Trading addiction can also come from when someone is so eager to make money. That is what usually leads to blindness, because a person who is eager to make money quickly will always be willing to take any risk

There are traders that are looking for short means to make money and they don't care if they will end up getting signal that will limit their learning faculty since they can not create chance for themselves to learn the real aspect of trading so they can be using chart system for analyzing the market. I have not really seen people that are having addiction in trading and this is just strange for me to see how people are becoming addictive to trading while financial mistakes can happen at any time.

Any trading we are into under this, giving us positive results, will not be seen as an addiction, but when we are having a perpetual loss in Trading and cannot afford to realize our goal or achieve any success along the line, then everything results in an addiction to trading because there is no positive outcome from what we are doing coming forth.
I don’t think addiction can be measured by the outcome of one’s trade, if it is positive or negative. You can be making profits and be addicted, and the-same goes to losing and addicted, the result doesn’t really matter here. But I think  why negative outcome seems to show how much of an addict one can be is because, experiencing those losses can really cause a huge mess in one’s life since at same time it makes you to keep trading more to recover losses and at the process even lose all you have without coming to a realization of how bad it has affected you.

Yes you are correct.  Addiction is about losing control over your behavior and emotion. The outcome isn't the measure or criteria for determining whether someone is addicted or not.

Addiction is often viewed negatively because in most cases, it causes more serious negative consequence than positive ones. Moreover, even when the outcome is positive, losing control over your behavior and emotion can still cause serious problems in other part of your life. So addiction is never good thing, no matter what the final result is.

trading starts to become addiction when your decision shifts from structured financial decision to something driven by compulsion, emotion and the need to get back all your losses.
‎some traders has ended up destroying their relationship with their friends and family because of trading addiction.
‎we really don't talk about trading addiction we focus more on gambling addiction but from what I have observed trading addiction is more dangerous than gambling addiction because it usually destroys very smart and intelligent persons.
‎why trading addiction is very dangerous is because you can be addicted and you won't even notice it because you may be thinking you are just putting in more work not knowing it's addiction.

All traders pulse and reflect on your life you may be addicted already or about to, so you need to redirect your steps.

Trading can certainly have a negative impact on anyone with weak discipline. I like to say that a fool will always turn trading into gambling, while a smart person will turn it into investments with long‑term plans. But overall, you can understand those people who believe that trading is essentially similar to gambling. There’s the thrill, the FOMO, and the desire to get back the money you’ve lost. And, of course, it’s worth mentioning the huge range of trading tools that turn reasonable trading into gambling: in my opinion, you can trade exclusively on the spot. Under no circumstances should you use leverage, the options system, longs, or shorts. Because all of the above doesn’t leave room for maneuver.

It is true that there is addiction in trading but it is not gambling that this addiction will last long. I have seen many losing traders who came to the trading platform expecting profit and after losing they stopped trading and are investing for the long term. There are some gamblers who have comparatively few entertainment options, so even if they lose, they gamble again to recover their losses or get profit. They get addicted to gambling because there is both an opportunity to make quick money and an opportunity to have fun. You can be in loss in trading but it is not always easy to make quick money here. Traders who are experienced may be able to make some profit by analyzing the market for a long time. So what I want to say here is that there is no element of addiction to trading like gambling on this platform.
