OK, I had no idea what I'm getting into when I was joining this competition. I never knew that FIFA WC fantasy is that much different than the FPL. But it is what it is and I'll try to make what I can with the players I have. I needed to make two transfers. I'm just not sure do I have two free transfers between each round or are there two free transfers in the whole game?

2 after each game in the group. Then a wildcard for the knockouts, then loads of transfers afterwards.

Overall a decent round but I can't believe that out of my 7 defensive players only 1 brought defensive points.
Mexico, Scotland, Australia, Ivory Coast, Spain, Cape Verde, Argentina and Ghana are the only teams that did not concede in Round 1.

Now the tough part comes - transfers and 12th man..

You have 2FT for every match day for the group stage and unlimited transfers before R32, 4FTs before R16, 4FT before Quarter finals, 5FTs before Semi finals and 6 FTs before Final.

Decent round for my defenders, I was on 4/4 Cs until the Columbia game. I could have done more but Sane and Bruno let me down. This is the most important round for the group stage games.

A horrible mistake on my part has cost me 15 points and ultimately destroyed my MD1, leaving me with only 73 points in total. I was watching the game between France and Senegal and was really happy to come home after the game to watch Norway vs Iraq. I managed to fall asleep on the couch without checking my fantasy team one last time to place the armband on Haaland. I've been so mad at myself these last few days, but it's only normal to accept the huge error and carry on  .

About the defenders is a complete mess what i happening in this world cup, even the best teams cant hold a clean sheet against weak teams.

It’s still a Great first by the way. One thing about this fantasy is even if there is a lot of games to go before you able to catch up with the top you shouldn’t be way behind and seriously with those points behind and yet to use any of your chips is actually the best thing. Next round you regroup again.

Personally was let down by my defenders there wasn’t any clean sheet even from the defensively solid Ecuador plus I have three Portuguese in my team so that’s where the bad result came from, no problem still time to catch up, the aim is to be in the top five before the knockout stages

Kai Havertz, Halaand, Mbappe, Messi and Kane all gave us double digits, how are you still on the street looking for a captaincy points? How did you miss out on all these gems?

It looks like almost everyone will be playing their wildcard after this round, so the playing field will get leveled out again.

Once more, I have no idea what I'm doing with Fantasy, so crazy that Bosnia late collapse and goal though, ruined my first decent pick (Elvedi) and leaving me staring down the barrel of mediocrity even at the start of R2.

Nice catch for you, I had 3 Columbia assets too but conceeding in a game like that was stupid - I could have gotten 100+ points if they had kept a clean sheet

WC chip for next round is a must to filter out the qualified players with little to nothing to play for to the ones with everything to play for.

I don't know if it was good idea to use the Wild Card immediately. I decided to use it right away because I didn't want to lose some points and on top of that, four of my players ended up on the bench including Raya, who didn't even play.
If I hadn't used the Wild Card, I would have had to take around 12 points hit just to bring in the players I wanted. Hopefully, I won't regret this decision, because there's still a possibility that some of the players who didn't play in Round 1 will get minutes in the next round and could even start.

Registered and got onboard few days before the competition kickoff on the 11th, I know I'm up against the big boys in team building when I checked my dashboard and saw profiles with 100 plus points while I was still on 6 points although this was before the Argentina, France, Portugal and England games, most of my players are from these countries. Mbappe gave me my most points which was 28 points coupled with the fact that his my captain. Ended R1 with 62 points which is low compared to most of the profiles I have seen.

Furthermore, I took advantage of the 2 free transfers and made some adjustments, hopefully it pays off and my players gives me more points than the first round. I kinda love this fantasy brought by Hhampuz, although I'm not expecting to win, I just love the fun and thrills it gives me.

There's no need in looking at the league table until all the games are over. I was 1st during the most of the round 1 games and look at where I'm now - dead last.

Btw, Igebotz congrats on going with David and captaining him. I knew Canada will win against Qatar, but destroying them 6-0 is not what I expected. Two red cards for Qatar helped Canada, but captaining a player that will score three goals - that's pretty much a guaranteed first place in the 2nd round.

A monstrous haul from Jonathan David to earn Igebotz the first position right now indeed, but If the way the first round went is any to go by, I don't think the round is over yet, and such a score can be easily get close to being outdone by just two defenders with cleansheets and scouting bonus, while you'd still expect some players surely get 15(30)+ points from their captain as well... It's just looking real good for him at the moment though.

I ended up making another mistake this round, well more like a forced mistake, I knew that both Mbappe and Vini Jr were must haves for this matchday but I couldn't afford to bring both of them in without taking a hit and weakening my team in other areas. Not having Vini is definitely going to cost me especially since he just scored a goal and an assist, I should have waited on using the 12th man chip back on matchday 1.
I had a lot of my hopes on Raphinha but he was forced off injured in the first half, It looked like a muscular issue, we'll have to wait and see what medical says, he might be looking at some time on the sidelines, massive blow for Brazil.

I don't know how serious that injury for Raphinha is but with Brazil already through to the round of 32, I don't think there is anyway Raphinha would be involved in Brazil's last group stage match, which means is definitely off my team.

I think Vinicius should have gotten way more points, but he was kinda what I'd call goal shy or just looking to score only classic goals, I needed him to at least get to that 17 points tally that would force me not keep changing captain, now I can't settle for 12 points with Mbappe to face Iraq, can  I ?

12th man Vinicius Jr. delivered, but Raphinha did not, and he got subbed in the first half. Did he get injured? I didn't see the game and will maybe only now see the rerun. Also, as the round goes for now, I'm happy; everything that went to shit in MD1 is paying off for now.

Ah same as me then! I had Raphinha from the first round and I didn't mind the way he played so kept him on. What a waste of money really, to be taken out early for 1 point (don't think it was a bad injury, but I didn't watch either, but it presents me with a transfer now). Good to see el che also liked Raphinha, so I'm not the only idiot

Right now, I’m probably sticking If this was game round 1 I would have had the decent option of going from Mbappe to Wirtz, Havertz, Oyarzabal or Haaland, all with great fixtures and play after Brazil, but right now Mbappe seem like the only option that could be worth switching to, but still with Mbappe you’ll need him to score at least a hattrick for the switch to be worth it, and that’s quite an ask imo.

It still depends on what my degenerate mind tells me to do closer to the match though.

If somebody asked me what I would have wanted from Vini - it would probably be exactly this.
Brings enough value as the 12th man while not giving enough to those wanting to keep him as captain.

Many good players still left to captain so yeah - not many will stick with these points with Mbappe still left to play.
