Damn, if I captained Vinicius I would have let him keep it. I captained Hakimi instead hoping for some attacking contributions, but also fully expecting a clean sheet.
Not just that they conceded, they conceded 2 goals, so he gets a negative point as well.

Overall doing well - maybe it's a blessing in disguise and Kane scores 4 goals vs Panama.

In my case, it was a complete oversight, I knew Brazil and Morocco were playing at the same time, but when I was on the fantasy portal I completely forgot everything about Brazil and Morocco was all I could see, If not I surely would have gone with Vini and most definitely stick with him as well, but I've got to be on the hunt yet again, and at least this time I still do have a number of options I can switch to comfortable and hope to strike gold.

This was the comment I needed to back up my decision on keeping Vini captaincy locked on - too many good options left but I doubt any of them would play more than 60 mins to outshine Vini's points or replicate Vini's HT show.

Another positive side; none of the chasing wolves captained Vini and I was able to do extend the gap at the top for another day.

I thought If Argentina were to keep Jordan out of sight in the first half, the magic man might be sitting this one out, but only for him to come in to game to score a goal and beat whatever bullshit I have from Lamine Yamal against Uruguay, this has got the be the worse wildcard ever, after think I know better, and my former team would have fared pretty well with just those 3 free transfer.

75 points in MD3 is not a good score, and not picking Vinícius Jr. came back to bite me in the ass. Also, Manzambi gave me a good run — if only I had left him in my team instead of picking Díaz. And what to say about Mané… the only man in the game against Iraq who did nothing. A shame.

Only 1 WC for the tournament, but you will have open transfers in MD4, so it's like you will have 2 at your disposal.

So far, a superb round for me—already on 120 points and 2 players to play still. This will definitely be my best edition; I hope that I can replicate it in some other round. Manzambi made everything for me so much easier. Still don't know why the youngster didn't start the second game, as he was a menace for Bosnia.

Ended up using my WC thinking I would win big on gamble and honestly? I shouldn't have done so bad, but somehow captaining Vini, followed by Sarr, didn't work out (I kept forgetting to click save), so I only got my captain on Brobbey (ugh). Lost out on at least 9 points there -- Trossard was my highest scoring player but I doubt I'd have changed captaincy had I already secured Vini.

Going to go for Yamal now for my next bet. Avoided him for all this while, surely now?

I know I'm asking this close to the deadline - but does anybody know how overtime is calculated?
Are there extra points awarded, do clean sheets get wiped after conceding etc?

Didn't try extremely hard to find that info but still tried reading some FAQ's - haven't seen it being mentioned anywhere.

There's no extra points awarded but extra time counts for knockout stages; cleansheet, goals and everything else counts as normal. You can get your cleansheet wiped out a few seconds to penalty shootouts

How about me? I'm currently sitting in 17th place, second from the bottom. I'm not sure if I still have any chance in this WC Fantasy League, especially since the player in 1st place is already 100 points ahead, and I'm points behind from 3rd place.

There are still 5 rounds remaining, but I doubt I can make a comeback to secure prize.

To make things worse, I already wasted one player for the current on the Canada vs. South Africa match. Saliba picked got yellow card and got subbed off in the 59th minute. What a disaster, right? lol

You're not alone, I had Luc De Fougerolles who was on scouting bonus and the coach benched him for the first time in this tournament and brought him in the second half - I lost 10 points on him but I'm not thinking much since I'm just going to replace him with someone from the bench that can give me more..

What? That was not expected to hear, but i could be because with the limitations in the ammount of players from the same national team and other betters choices tos core points Burno Guimaraes clearly falls behind msot of them, for example most of the people from Brazil are gonna choose Raphina, Vinicius, and a few others instead of him, plus all the other players like Bellingham Dembele and so on.

Looks like Slackovic has already given up on this pool. His current lineup says it all. He has three players from Germany, which means that if he wants to continue in the fantasy league, he'll have to transfer all three since Germany already been eliminated from the World Cup.
And it's not just those three. I think he also has another 2–3 players whose teams have already been eliminated. Transferring all of them would cost him around -9 points.

Anyway, good thing Haaland scored today. I still have him in my lineup. I think only three of us still have Haaland me, Jayce and crowolf. Jayce even made Haaland captain, so congratulations to him.. lol

Mbappe captain was an immediate pay off, but it's not like it matters since everyone else definitely has him, and a number of people have Olise as their 3rd French player which is a major blow to me as of this moment, unless Jude Bellingham is able to continue his world cup heroics for England against a decent D.R. Congo..

I'm sure with Paraguay up next, 98% next two transfers for every team that have just two would be for France players, the Olise and Dembele pick in the middle of pack is going to be a no brainer.

He struggled with the rules and probably gave up along the way- the rules are easy and I also explained somethings to him.
He was on top at some point if I remember correctly.

Switching Mbappe to Messi would be a high risk little rewards move imo, you’ll need a hattrick from Messi to better Mbappe’s points by just 2 points (If he only had 3 shot on target), a hattrick for Messi can’t possibly be ruled out, but you stand to lose more against probably everyone if he doesn’t he doesn’t get as many points as Mbappe, If Mbappe scored only 1 goal, I would have also switched to Kane first then possibly Messi, knowing that I might have better chance of either players providing more than just 1 attacking return.

That does make sense, thanks! I'd probably go with Kane first. I dont have Mbappe in the squad tho, but definitely want to get him in next round since their opponent is Paraguay.
