From one side im very pleased to be far of the top positions in this one since i felt like having the game for third position added is a non go as far as i can see, because that game is not played with the same force and mentality compared to a final and also maybe the teams makes a huge rotation..... i dont know is a complete mess. I know is not an easy solution because if you only put the final game for the final round everyone is gonna have the same players..... but i dont like it anyways.

I'd say target players with something to play for in the 3rd place game - I don't have much reshuffle to do; I like my current set-up. I may tweak 1 or 2 spots though.

After messing up my defensive shield chip last time around which cost me 22 points I managed to have another disasterous of a matchday, again I took some risks that unfortunately didn't pay off. Tried to close the gap on the top spots so I decided to bypass all Spanish players, opted to field only one goalkeeper and ran one less defender just so I could squeeze the entire French attack, well we all know how that turned out.
Even with the strategy backfiring I'm still sitting in the top 5, for the last matchday I plan to go down swinging rather than play it safe, I still have no idea which differentials I will bring in, I guess we'll all be waiting for lineups on Saturday.

Mbappé will definitely be starting the 3rd place game as he's battling Messi for the Golden Boot race with 8 goals each. On top of that Messi leads the all time World Cup scoring with 21 goals, with Mbappé right behind him on 20. I hope Mbappé stays completely quiet in his match because my hope is for Messi to bring home all the gold, the World Cup trophy, the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot.

I think my chances of winning any prize here is pretty much over now. I haven't been able to climb any higher than 17th place and the Top 5 are already more than 100+ points ahead of me. Maybe I'll just try again in the next fantasy league. lol

Anyway, I expected this kind of result since it's my first time joining fantasy league. This experience taught me that knowing when and how to use the boosters is one of the most important parts of the game.

It's been resolved, I wasn't the only who saw it - after I logged in X to write about it I saw some few other accounts also talking about it. The reports got to the developers I guess.

For me, every round have been worse than the previous one, despite this one being a volatile one, I’ve not been anywhere near the top half since game round, I just want this one to be over already so that we can get back to proper fantasy not this anomaly 😂

I'll take this over topping the table only to get knocked out of top 3 in the final 3 rounds - I hate spending the most time on top of the table only to lose it when it matters.

Utilizing fantasy chips is the weakest part of my game- the day I learn how to strategizes my chips better, it's over for everyone.

I'm honestly not thinking about PL fantasy, I just want to get over this and take a long rest from fantasy headache.

Ain't you on sidebets with many users in the pool? There's always something to play for until the end.

We could see some heavy rotations at the defense, but I don't think either France or England DEF is worth taking a chance on; there could be a lot of goals, and you still need those scouting bonus differentials to score at least four points.

I went heavy on France assets after the lineups - already dead after 3 mins into the game.

England are dominating possession and  the dictator is nowhere to be found; the Spanish boys did a lot of damage on them.

10 goals scored and I only managed to pick two players out of seven with any returns, I also ended up with three French players with negative points. Another disastrous matchday but somehow I'm still fighting for the paying spots. It can go either way now, the rest of my squad is loaded up with all Argentine players, while almost everyone else in the top spots went heavy on Spain + Messi.

The equation is simple now, I just need a clean 3-0 for Argentina with goals from Fernandez, MacAllister and Alvarez. You got that universe?

Wow, changing Saka to Rashford is one of the worst Fantasy calls of my life.
That and the shield in R16 instead of the QF cost me 34 points - and both calls were made in the last few minutes.

That's how short formats work - not complaining at all. These fine margins are the same for everybody.

We hopefully proceed to a huge FPL pool with 50+ players now.

Yeah I didn't even bother making any transfers when I found out early there was no way I'd be able to properly look at things once England lineup came up. I did use my final chip. So Messi's hattrick later on should be automatically wasting my chips heh.

Like frka says, back to 50+ pool people I guess. Seems I will get 12th place or so regardless of number of participants.

Not having a single England attacking assets for this round was stupid; trusting in France assets in Semi and 3rd place was my biggest downfall - I transferred out both Bellingham and Dembele for Cherki and Doue and both came on in the second half and scored.

I like this format, short and no time to recover from mistakes. Go hard or go home..

All of my differentials failed to pay off, going all in on Argentina and fading Spain was a high risk strategy but I knew that since the majority would go heavy on Spain I couldn't make any jumps in the standings without taking a big gamble. So I failed and I fell short of the paying spots.

Looking back at the tournament now I realize that I relied way too much on my emotions rather than reason. Deep down I knew Spain was strong and barely conceding any goals. I also knew that Argentina had been leaky and practically on life support every single game. But I just couldn't bring myself to go against my own country. It's a very sad day for me today and not just regarding the fantasy league.

But one thing is for sure, it was a blast taking part in this community contest, the tournament was very competitive right up until the end.
